..... they will, of course, claim that they can concentrate on the League now......

Truth is, we aren't great are we?.... the fact that we're still within touching distance of the play offs suggests that the others aren't great either....

I'd rather think that seeing us sort em out on TV showed the rest of the Division that they can be got at.
S'funny, their form has gone off a cliff since we played them.....

I think playing a day after us and putting in so much effort to beat Preston could work in our favour
Although I could be completely wrong 😕 ....

The Teams involved, do they qualify on merit or bank balance? Look at Chelsea and Man U, huge financially, bang average football though.
Frankly, I'd let them go, on the understanding that there's no way back if it fails...... their choice.

They aren't in freefall....yet.
But 4-0 suggests that they were either outclassed or not as good as they thought.
Either way, merry Christmas.....

Alternatively, we may have shown the rest of the division that they can be got at. By their own admission, they don't have much below their first 11 and if they get the sort of injuries we've had, they could be in freefall.
We're only 5 points shy of the play off places despite our challenges, there are plenty of past examples that show a play off place, or even a top two finish is within reach...... not saying it's going to happen, just that it's possible.....
By April, we could both be in very different positions...... can't wait.

Didn't say that I approved, but when you win everything, there comes with it a level of expectation (entitlement)
They continue to be proof positive, that money buys success. Pretty much what the Premiership is all about.....

Expectations aside, it's going to be difficult to match last seasons achievements....

.... sign of the times, how many academy players are starting in the Premiership?.... money dictates that Clubs just buy in ready made talent..... the fact that we don't have any money, tells you everything you need to know about why we're not competitive....

I'm in the dark on this one.......

Ipswich..... ahahahaha....
.....remember, the last time they expanded, they went into administration and took twenty years to recover....... fingers crossed 🤞

Well done, you used the word fight to describe a Frenchman...... history tells us that's never a good mix.....

If we lose, the record is set, the longest unbeaten run in our derby history. It will not be beaten, certainly not in my lifetime.
They will, of course jump, immediately, to achievements in the last Century, so long ago that most of their fans weren't there or were too young to remember.
...... if we don't lose, the run continues......

Congratulations to West Ham, who have achieved a new British record by going 17 consecutive games in Europe undefeated.....
.... I'd just like to point out that we've not lost a competitive game in Europe since 1993.....
Just saying 😌....

Agreed...... however, we all know that Everton will be toilet right up till the end of April, then put an inexplicable run of results together to survive by the skin of their teeth...... AGAIN! 🤬

I was going to say that this result will go down in history..... but of course, they never talk about their history, do they?
