Over 10 hours travel on the train, nearly £100 in fares-and that’s with my senior railcard. I won’t be attending Carrow Road until there are faster trains and the fare is cheaper 😉

..... have you thought of moving?......

.....says the man living in Auckland....

  2. If it all pans out for them, they'll just become another mid table mediocre Premiership side who won't be able to compete at the top level, every Club has a ceiling.

If it all goes wrong, see Portsmouth, Blackburn, Swansea,  Stoke and Reading who all had extended spells in the Premiership,  couldn't compete financially and were relegated....

..... if you think the last administration was detrimental,  this time it would be devastating.....

We're at the big boy point of the season now, let's see what you've got.

After the draw at Portaloo, we were 21 points behind them, nothing has changed,  so we've nothing to fear from them, of course, it's at home...... and we're beasts at home, bring it on.....

  4. I remember going to Stoke when Grant was in charge, he thought the Doc could play defensive midfield......... we lost 5-0.

That day they attracted 14,000,  their biggest home crowd up to that point in the season, after Pulis got them promoted,  their support almost doubled....... tinpot.

..... reminds me of our neighbors, they've suddenly turned up now the injection of some cash has brought some success..... like I say, tinpot.

    Shocking behaviour.

Tell you what, don't mess with Cardiff, growing up in South London in the late 70s I witnessed their "passion"

They view every away game as an invasion, (except Swansea)..... coming to England is an opportunity for revenge, not sure why but they were always really "up for it"

..... of course, Millwall were always happy to accommodate them.....

  6. Truth is, they've been bang average throughout their history, apart from a 20 year hiatus,  they've done nothing..... but they can't stop talking about it.

As someone mentioned,  two years ago, they were struggling to attract 14,000 through the gate,  now it's double that, tinpot Club, tinpot fans.....

And Man Utd fixtures are important to the local economy in Manchester, loads fly in from Ireland and beyond, and Asian tourists buy tickets, Manchester hotels get booked out for Utd home games. So we should be overall supportive of the idea of England having a Northern base.

..... I remember a game at CR against Man U, 10 minutes from the end the announcer came on to inform the visiting fans that the last train to London was at 6.20, or whatever, a huge cheer went up....

Manchester United are a franchise, as you've pointed out, a large proportion of their fanbase are not from Manchester they could play anywhere and sell out.... we don't need to be financing another stadium in Manchester..

I'd be more inclined to build something in Birmingham,  our second City, large population,  plenty of Clubs to use it, concerts etc and with Villa becoming a force again perhaps that could be a way forward. Regards England,  it's more central for players and fans alike.....
