  1. I think we finished 12th in our first Season, nothing to suggest we were "hugely ill equipped " It was only after Lambert left and the more pragmatic Hughton was installed that we started to spend big money on poor choices.
  2. Not only do you get a certificate but they read your name out at half time. Tinpot or what?🤣
  3. That's the fun though, I think Reading are more likely to survive than Rotherham, Bolton are probably gone but they're still above 1p5wich. Despite all the new players, there's nothing to suggest that they have what it takes to get out of this mess.
  4. Just adds to the pain GJL, if the Teams above them were winning they'd be cut adrift, much more fun reading TWTD and all the ways that they think they could still survive. It's the hope that kills.
  5. I'm taking nothing for granted but looking at all the stats it's hard to find an argument against a home win. Apparently they've a higher pass completion percentage than anyone else in the League! Passing sideways across the back four and back to your 'keeper is not going to win many games. Player for player it's clear who'll be playing the football, I know there's the Lambert factor to consider but this may be beyond even him.
  6. They'll be having kittens South of the border.
  7. Agreed, typical of the EPL, ask lots of questions, blur the lines, result? No change, keep doing what we're doing.
  8. I still think promotion has to be a priority given the position we're in. I'm not advocating spending during this window. Indeed our record of spending big in recent seasons has proved to be a disaster.
  9. The EFL has produced a survey covering all aspects of our football experience. Can't do the clicky thing but go to efl.com, worth a look.
  10. But you said 'we don't need to sell ' I'm saying it's not as simple as that and used Aarons as an example. It's clear that expectations change as the season progresses, I'm not saying it's our right to go up, just that if the opportunity is there this season, we should take it, ready or not.
  11. Nothing miserable about it. Reality is if we're not promoted, other Clubs, with much bigger wallets will come a calling. Aarons, wonderful player, just 19, what's his current value? 20 million? If Chelsea offered 30 would the Club turn it down, even if we don't need the money? Nobody said we faced 'free fall' but if we're not promoted it's clear that our budget would be greatly restricted for future investment in the squad.
