Good points, well made and thanks for the courteous response. If 'there is no cash reserves to support any speculative spending' why are you advocating spending 20-30 million, that we haven't got on players who may, or may not make a difference? I've not heard that the 'current owners are unwilling to relinquish power' I'm sure that if you were to stump up enough money they would consider it.

    TWTD Having Yet Another Meltdown.

Haven't been over there yet but their blogger Alex posted up 'broken seats and absolute limbs' .... it's Burton ffs, BURTON! They're taking great pleasure out of our struggles this season, while they make hard work out of Accrington, Fleetwood and Lincoln.

    36 Points to Play For

It ain't over till it's over... anyone who has given up at this stage needs to have a word with themselves.

By your 'ilk' you mean that you think putting the finances of the Club at risk, like we did the last time we were in the Premiership, when we bought Naismith, is a good idea. By 'thought provoking' you mean dragging up something that has been discussed a thousand times before, usually after we've lost a game, though rarely to the best Club side in the World. If you changed the word 'apathy' to 'reality' you may be closer to the truth, as it's undeniable that we will never compete with Liverpool or Chelsea financially. Sorry for the long post but you asked for more than a 'one sentence pun' the others were probably wise not to rise to your bait, as I'm sure that's what you're looking for but as I'm not on here that often nowadays I'll play the game and maybe come back in a week or so for your response.

Spurs in for Godfrey and Aaron's for £80m

I'd guess that some of those 'wise old owls' are fortunate enough to have a season ticket, in which case they don't need expansion. Given that us old uns don't have long left, it's understandable that we'd rather see the money spent on the squad, providing entertaining, competitive football. I'm old, but I want investment in the Stadium, a new City stand to take us up to 32,000 initially, with a view to increase the Snakepit and the other corner long term.

Another five years of this sh t

From what I've seen, the 3rd Division is very poor this season. Some of their fans are freely admitting that if they were to go up, they'd likely go straight back down again. Seconded

    Leeds

Haven't really followed Leeds since their demise at the end of last season and while it's funny watching their fans' torment, I don't have any real animosity toward them. That said, if they don't go up this season, Bielsa will be gone.

    TWTD Having Yet Another Meltdown.

...... not having this, 1p5wich have a great history that we can only dream of. Ask any of them, they can quote, chapter and verse, every player that played in the 70s. .....and with a tree growing on the roof of the stand, they're ahead of us on environmental issues. What's not to like?

    Ipswich v Peterborough

Lambert is doing a fine job, long may it last.
  10. Well they pumped it long last year and if the Binners are anything to go by, last night, nothing has changed. Rotherham may be top, all that proves is how poor the League is.

    TWTD Having Yet Another Meltdown.

There are a host of Teams snapping at their heels now, with games in hand. A couple of months ago, they were way ahead, it's getting nervy down Suffolk way.
  12. Apparently they had a pass completion rate of 53% against a lump and rush Rotherham. If they do go up, they're going straight back down.

Top 3 clubs hated by norwich fans

1p5wich should be top of EVERYONE'S list......

    Luke Woolfenden

Some of them reckon he's worth anything up to 30 million..... they've been away from the top a long time.

    *IF* we go down...

    .... and they'll lose Bielsa.

    Duda signed

He'll want to impress, so other Clubs come in for him in the summer. Could work in our favour but he's got a lot of work to do.

    Exeter City 2-1 Binners

I'd say there was Lidl chance of that

    Heise Departs

Wasn't he brought in as back up to Jamal? He has been replaced by a better option. So, not a poor signing at all.

    Adam Idah

We don't want him impressing at OT next week, the January window is still open!

    Exeter City 2-1 Binners

It's tragic that 'everyone's 2nd favourite Club' should find itself in such decline.

    Adam Idah = Global Superstar

The kid is 18, he's had a great day, but he isn't a superstar........ yet

    Not unlucky. Not clever.

Don't know what the argument is here, I've supported Norwich for 50 years, back then we were a lower Division 1 upper Division 2 side and apart from the odd spell where we've overachieved/underachieved we're pretty much in the same place. The game itself has changed though, back then we looked up to giants like Sunderland, Forest, Derby, Wednesday, Coventry, Leeds, Stoke, West Brom and that lot down the road. The Teams that have overtaken us from those days include Watford, Brighton, Bournemouth, Palace and Villa who'd had some time in Division 3. All of which have mega rich owners ploughing huge sums in to keep them competitive. Remaining largely competitive when the rest have changed their business model to stay ahead of us should be acknowledged for the achievement that it is.

    How good is Emi?

Thing is Wacky, when we sold Madison, we couldn't see where the goals would come from. 12 months later, we'd been promoted, were raving about Emi and, despite the appreciation we all have for Madison were in awe of Buendia. .... in other words, there's always another talent out there, I just hope Webber has found him.

    Model / Plan

I think we're aiming to be a top 26 side on a regular basis, or something like that...... so far so good.
