1. Although I cannot stand the man, didn''t Simon Jordan basically say a few years back academies rarely make a club money? The amount you have to spend on developing young talent can be large sums when you think about paying them, the coaches the academy set up costs etc etc. Doubt the only time you will make some money is when you get clubs willing to pay stupid money for a player ala Wickham @ ITFC atm (rumoured to be 10million now!) Also you have to be careful that a big club doesn''t grab them. Tribunal money rarely is enough these days. Bet if you take an intake of 5-10 players a year and only manage to get money for say 2, even decent money, you are making a lose on the academy.
 2.

Well I''m working in York atm and went into the city yesterday, must have just missed it though. Cannot believe that it''s for a pre season friendly and that it was Hull fans kicking off against each other. Very pathetic.
Football is full of ups and downs. It''s easy to support a club that''s on the up but you find out a lot more about those "supporters" when their club drops back down. Expect to see a lot of angry Hull fans if they aren''t challenging this season. Either that or a half empty stadium. Us football fans don''t take disappointment very well!
Very true, remember after the 7-1 last season friends and I were in so much shock I don''t think we have ever got so drunk on a night out so quickly. But they did win the game against York and the guy I live with came back from the friendly quite positive about some youth players they were playing. Just strange attitude after winning a pre season game!

 4. Would this simply be the club taking how many come through the gate - how many season tickets they let through and it not equaling how many tickets they''ve sold? If they have done this and the figures are worth a fair bit in money to the club I can see why they have done this to try to stop the problem. Does hurt those who have a fair reason though. Plus if that''s the issue then surely there is a better way though. £50 is still cheaper than a season ticket hey! My friend is a forest fan and they still use the old ticket books. Would solve the problem. Alternatively look out for season ticket numbers that they know have been reprinted?
