1. You need to think of people around you, not everyone wants and is able to stand up the whole game.
 2.
Despite the Fulham debacle and the fact every one of our fans seems to now think 1 up front can;t work that formation could work very well for us in my opinion: Ruddy   Whitaker Bassong Barnett Garrido   Tettey/Johnson  Fox/Howson   Snodgrass/Bennett   Hoolahan/Butterfield Pilkington   Holt
Agree with you; I thought the formation at the Fulham game did not work because we played 4-5-1, where no-one was close to Holt. If we play 1 up front, Hoolahan (Butterfield maybe) must play alongside. I would add that if Morison finds his form from the start of last season he could play as the one upfront with Hoolahan next to him; I think Morison retains the ball better than Holt (Holt nearly always tries to draw the foul whereas Morison tries to head it on or control it). But I would hope we play 2 up front at home against the lower teams, something like:                                                                  Ruddy   Whittaker/Martin              Bassong/Bennett         Barnett/Turner              Garrido/Tierney   Snodgrass/Bennett           Tettey/Johnson             Howson/Fox                 Pilkington                                            Holt/Morison              Jackson/New Striker
 3.
I will put my head above the parapit. I completely disagree with Nexus (who is an excellent poster in my opinion). I think getting rid of Morison at this stage would be a disaster. You may not like him and I agree he underperformed in the second half of last season. However there are two concrete facts you cant get away from. Holt aside he was the only striker who threatened to get into double figures for league goals last season (9 in the Premier League). I honestly don''t believe that Jackson or Martin would get near that figure even if they played all season. Vaughan has the potential to get there but can he stay injury free for an entire season to do it? That is an entirely different question all together. If Holt were to get injured and Morison has been sold. I ask posters on here. Who can effectively step up and lead the line? Where are the goals coming from? The second question issue I would put to both Nexus and any other Morison detractors concern our style of play. If we are to play 1 up front this season which seems likely then Morison I would argue is actually better suited to this task than Holt (as much I love Grant). He possesses greater mobility which is an absolute prerequisite for the role making him a better fit. This is actually something Holt himself has admitted in an interview last season. The evidence for this is the strong run we had around the autumn when Moro played up top by himself with Wes tucked in behind in him. Holt was effective as a game changer from the bench such as against Liverpool at Anfield. Just my opinion and I am putting the tin hat on. Feel free to shoot me down Nexus and others.
I agree with you jacko; morison will be very important next season if he has the right attitude. Can I just remind 4-5-1 doubters that in the 6 games between bolton (a) and blackburn (h) last season we won 3, drew 2 and lost 1. This is when we played hoolahan off morison in a settled 4-5-1. I''m not saying that we should play morison upfront on his own all season, but it could be a really good option. (Holt haf a massive impact off the bench in that period eg Liverpool away)
 4.

So four permanent transfers Ricardo? I''d be happy with a couple of loans, a LB/either side FB. And someone else.
I can only repeat what I was told in June. If anything has changed since then I can''t say. If Hughton now feels he needs more then I am sure that the money will be made available.I''m with you on the fullback situation Ginge. More important than a striker IMO but then I''m not the manager. Please Mr Hughton try to bring Naughton back.
Totally agree with this, I would love to see Naughton back here next season as we know he can play both at RB and at LB; both positions where I feel we are a bit short of quality.
 5. Fantastic strike by Morro, just shows what he can do with some more support up front. On the stream I watched they interviewed him after the game and he seemed so pleased. Great for his confidence and hopefully will carry on next season where I hope he will be still here, scoring for fun like he was at the start of the season I think Lambert got it right today going with 2 up top and attacking arsenal. OTBC
 6. Very glad they stuck to the bright yellow, really like it and one of the reasons why I bought last seasons shirt. Don''t think I will get this one, looks quite similar to previous one apart from v-neck and green trim.
 7. I just feel that Lambert is looking for backup for Holt and Morison is that type of player. Also, I dnt think we will go for CMS now as we have got Vaughan, similar type of player, plays off the front man. Over 2 million for Morison is alot, but seems like nowadays you cant get anyone good for cheap, especially strikers.
 8. If we could get him at around 1.25 million, could be a good buy. I would think that Long would at least 2 million? Also, the fact that Reading could go up and Long would stay. In the season Blackpool got promoted Campbell scored 11 goals in 18 apperances.
 9. Intersting to see that when Long played in the premier league with reading, he scored 2 goals in 21 apperances, then 3 goals in 29 appearances! Not sure about him being more likely to score in the premier league. I feel we should have a go for CMS, if the price is right. If not try someone like Sharp or possibly Sordell
 10. I think it is a bit too early to predict the CBs for next season but I think Whitbread and Ward, Whitbread and Askou or Ward and Askou. I think that Askou was a good CB before he got injured, Whitbread has lots of potential and so does Ward. It is looking really good for next season, I was slightly worried when the Doc went but feeling better now we have a new CB in Ward!
 11.
I think Sheffield United will be strong next year as always.
Yeh, SU are always around the playoffs. I think that Preston might do wall as well.
 12.
"Cullum ''Ave A Go If You Think You''re ''Ard Enough"]This might be the saddest thing I''ve ever heard. Second place in div 3 you tragic cnuts! i thought that was a bus tour of the city for winning the 3rd division title but i suppose a small club with no history takes what it can get.
Just because you took 3 years to get out of League 1, and when you do, you only finish in the automatics on the last game of the season! You cant accept that you are a championship club, you think you are a premiership club with a premiership ground! You only overtook our average attendances on the last game of the season because 38,000 glory hunters turned up, not the usual 20,000!
 13. I agree with you that it is going to be close next season in the Championship. Apart from Forest (who I think will be top), any of those teams could be promoted. The preimer teams that have been relagated are quite weak compared to last season where Newcastle, West Brom and Boro got relagated. Its all looking good! [:D]
 14.
Thanks for the support Bates Lovers, yesterday was amazing and still hasn''t quite sunk in. Saw you picking up your trophy on TV - tinpot family club. Oh, and our average attendance (which you lot seem to love so much) finished higher than yours.
What is wrong with being a ''family club''?  Least our supporters dont go around and beat up people when their away!!!! You call yoursevles a massive club and there you were scrapping on the last game of the season to get promoted WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!!!!!!
