  1. I should imagine that''s more of a gentleman''s agreement rather than anything official. Something I fear that as things are turning sour here, we won''t be able to get in place!
  2. Snore! So what if that''s the case! Move on!
  3. For those people who are having heart attacks at the mere thought of Lambert moving on and also now Holt, calm down. Lambert was always going to leave, be it this year or next. Who''s to say when a job like the Villa one was to come up again? He''s not the same type of manager to go straight to an Elite club like Liverpool. He was always going to go to a Villa or Everton etc. Accepted, the way it''s been done has left a sour taste. But, it was always going to happen. The Holt situation is one that happens at all clubs. Yes, more detail on the disagreement would be nice, but it won''t happen. We should just accept it and move on. This has happened countless times at Norwich City over the years and will continue to happen. We now get as much money as we can for Holt and Lambert and replace them with a fresh manager and a player that is young and hungry. Don''t forget, Holt is now 31 and arguably the peak of his career has now gone. He needs to get that last big contract and signing on fee, and he will never get that at Norwich! So, best wishes to both of these club legends, and let''s get replacements in who will also be held in the same regard.
  4. Burnley and Aston villa are completely different kettles of fish! And no, I have and will never boo a Norwich team as long as I live!
  5. Cheers for that knowledgeable and quality reply there, appreciated. For your information, I wouldn''t have done that at all. I''d have been aggrieved, but Villa are a bigger club than Norwich despite what people on here think! I''m just saying, let him decide what he wants to do, and if that''s to go then goodbye with our best wishes.
  6. I''m sorry, but any Swansea fans that are thinking they will get any of those names in are clearly deluded! Also, when will we EVER become a regular top 6 side????? Yes, we all love ambition, but that will not happen! Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle aren''t regular top 6 sides, so how will we be!?
  7. The Wigan way! Give the manager permission and let them decide, if they want it then fair enough, sort out a fair price. If they don''t, then happy days, carry on!! Martinez, Whelan and Wigan all come out looking good no matter what happens. Whereas at Norwich, it all goes sour! http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11682/7788036/Whelan-Villa-not-big-enough
  8. It''s not the fact he''s gone, it''s how he''s gone about it. There are better ways of doing things, such as Brendan Rodgers leaving Swansea for Liverpool. He done it with more taste!!!
  9. I hope it all goes wrong for him! Disloyal so and so!! Spouting off about how he loves it at Norwich and that he’s never said he want to leave etc! Then a week later, can’t get out quick enough! Well jog on son! Thanks for 3 good years but you’ve now fecked all over the fans! You will never be appreciated anywhere as much as you are here, and when Villa are bottom at Christmas and the fans are saying “Lambert Out”, NCFC will still be going strong! (I Hope!!!)   It''s not so much the way he''s done this, it''s really after what he said last week. I still wasn''t convinced, but still! This will leave a very bad taste around Carrow Road for months maybe years to come. I really wouldn''t be surprised if Holt went along with him too. Villa lack a big man up front and he fits with what they''d need. We now need to go and get someone in who has the same passion to get players playing. Someone who when they say they love it here, they mean it. Someone with Norwich at heart. Malky? Too soon for him imo. Hughton? Will he do the same as Lambert and go when something bigger comes along? Curbishley? Too long away and not the type we need.   My personal choice, and one that the board could make happen if they wanted to, would be Ian Culverhouse. Keep the set-up virtually the same. Keep the players on side and also, knows the players that we could get from the lower leagues. Continuity is key right now and he will provide it.
  10. I was then about to post the exact same thing!! There''s been this rumour out there that he''s left for about 3 hours now, and still nothing from the club. Not a denial, not a confirmation etc. Very strange if you ask me.
  11. It was made even more special by the invasion of the Celtic fans! It created an absolutely amazing atmosphere which Drury truly deserved. It also made me want to come up to Parkhead to experience the full Celtic roar! I know lot''s of Norwich fans want the game to be a regular Pre-Season event now! With the hosting alternating each year!
  12. Now this one bothers me! The Villa one we could keep at bay I think, but not this one!!! :( Although, i''d put a Martinez or Rodgers probably ahead of Lambert for this job. They would deal into the old Liverpool groove of pass and move.
  13. He never said it was a players meeting, just that he had a meeting at 10. Could be anywhere about anything!
  14. If another club came in to take Lambert as Manager OR McNally as CEO, but not both of them, which one would you prefer to stay?? I would take McNally as he has done so much for this club to stabilise it and get the right people in, that i''d trust him to do it over and over again. Just interested in peoples views. So, although Lambert is probably the most worshipped manager we''ve had at this club since i''ve followed them (25ish years), I think McNally is the key person who has to stay at this club forever!
  15. I think fair play to the man! Just because he''s not Grant Holt, he get''s stick if he has one bad game and people say he''s this and that and doing allsorts with other players! I always think that certain people who call in are just plain simple! Most of them don''t go to the games so haven''t really got a clue and most of them are what you might call "Country Bumpkins". As long as the players such as Morison who get the stick come back with the goods, then fantastic!
  16. Got mine come through in the post yesterday. It seems the fit is the same as last years. I need a small one, but am by no means a small person, so I think they''re quite nicely sized. The collar on it is the biggest improvement for me, as i''m constantly wanting to tug at the current one! But in my opnion another very good kit from Errea, and nice not to be a bland Adidas or Nike one!
  17. I like it a lot! Loving the fact it has a collar again at last!!!
  18. Same here, contacted the club to ask what''s wrong! Will post my response when I receive one.
  19. And also, Man City have thrashed 2 other teams away from home this season. Spurs they beat 5-1 away and also Manchester United they beat 6-1 away, so we''re in pretty good company there! And also, Sunderland are the only other team to have beaten us by more than 2 clear goals. I''d rate this as a season, pretty blooming awesome really.
  20. Apart from 2 mistakes that led to goals, I thought we played really well. I said after the results on Wednesday night, that we could be in trouble against a Man City side who would be firing! And how right I was. When the likes of Tevez, Aguero and Silva are on that kind of form, no-one will stop them! The 2 performances I singled out for praise were from Elliott Bennett and Wilbraham. Bennett was non-stop energy down the left hand side and was causing all sorts of problems for Zaboletta. That only change when Man City brought on Toure, but still extremely positive from an ever improving confident player. Also, Wilbraham was I thought, outstanding. He was bullying the Man City defence at every opportunity and along with Holt caused some realy issues. Granted, he''ll never score 10,15 or 20 goals a season but over the last few games he''s played out of his skin and created problems against some real good defenders. So, there''s my positive post about Saturday''s game done with!
  21. I am a regular reader of this forum and have posted the occasional message / reply. I''m calling on all fans to now get behind the players and make the rest of the season as enjoyable as the last 2 and a half years have been. I''m not saying you don''t have the right to moan and whinge, but what is there to moan about!? If you honestly think that we''d be top ten at the start of the season, then you''re a little disillusioned! The likes of your Stoke''s, Fulham''s, WBA''s etc have experienced premiership players and are 4 or 5 years ahead of where we are. Staying up is the name of this first season back in the prem, and staying up is probably what we have now secured, barring a miracle! So, let''s stop moaning and groaning. Let''s back the team, manager and board as we currently have arguably the best set-up we''ve had for a long long time! Cut the moaning and rumour mongering and let''s revel in our success!!! OTBC!!
  22. Blatantly going for the tongue in cheek approach that Norwich did so well last Summer! FAIL! Loved how at the end, the first video in the list was this one - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=07W3BWzFToI
  23. I know usually we''d get 3,000 allocated to us for this game. Just wondered if anyone had heard if this is likely to be higher due to demand at all??
  24. Very sad news. He used to have several chats with us in the corner of the Barclay! RIP Pat.
