  1. I think the guy is class. Wins the majority of arial duels, great tackler and gets in some fantastic positions. And he''s only 22 so is only going to get better. Bennett alongside am experienced CB next season will work very well next season imo.
  2. I think the key to Lambert staying here is McNally. Since McNallys arrival at the club he has stated he wants to make this an established Premier League team. The job is only half done here and McNally won''t let Lambert go.
  3. Wayne Rooney is on over £200,000 a week but the there are 4 Manchester city players on that amount too, Yaya Toure, Tevez, Aguero and Silva. Ridiculous sums of money. And Financial FairPlay won''t stop it unfortunately as teams like Man City find loopholes in the law. Such as agreeing a £400 million "sponsorship deal" with the owners brothers airline.
  4. Bryangunnshairline - That''s actually not true. Even if Bryan Gunn didn''t sign him we would shave still been after Grant Holt under Lambert. As in fact Lambert tried to sign Holty for Colchester the summer we went for him, just we out bid them.
  5. The stubs have to be registered within a year of each other. So I usually just register mine at the start of the season from last seasons stubs.
  6. But I know it works well at other clubs so can''t see why it wouldn''t work here. You need to be a season ticket holder with 10 away stubs from the last year to be in group 2. Then all season ticket holders and members with 10 away stubs are in group 3. After that it''s members in group 4 and everyone else n group 5 I think ..........
  7. I''m in Priority group 2 so always get tickets, but I think the system does need to be looked at. Isn''t there this "Loyalty points" system that Man City and other clubs use? Where fans get a certain amount of points for each away game they attend and get more points for going to games that are further away, on a cold Tuesday night and not one of the "big" teams etc. Think that would be a fairer way.
  8. ------------Ruddy -------------- Naughton Ward R Bennett Drury Howson Johnson Bennett Hoolahan Pilkington Holt Don''t really want to play Ward but there isn''t much choice there. Maybe R Martin or Barnettt instead
  9. Arsenal 1-4 Norwich - Arsenal to take the lead through Robin Van Persie but to be rocked by an outstanding hat-trick from Grant Holt. Jonny Howson will complete the scoring with a 35 yard volley to win goal of the season.
  10. Aidan white - Young - quick - and would piss Leeds fans off if he came to us.
  11. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11709/7726950/Eyes-on-Canaries-ace Sky Sports understands that a host of Premier League clubs are ready to make a move for Norwich City defender Zak Whitbread. The 28-year-old American centre-half has featured in over 20 games for the Canaries this season and has impressed. However Whitbread, who joined Norwich from Millwall in 2010, is out of contract at the end of the season. Now, with just weeks of the campaign left, a number of clubs are known to have been alerted to the fact that Whitbread is set to become a free agent if he cannot agree a new deal at Carrow Road. Everton, Wigan, Sunderland, along with newly promoted Reading and Southampton, are all thought to be considering a Bosman deal for the former Liverpool trainee. Do you think he''ll sign a new contract?

  13. "If he''d done it halfway through the season it would arguably have been much less memorable than it turned out to be, yet it appears that this run of form made Jackson appear to be a much better player then Martin to many fans, when in reality I don''t think there''s much difference overall." Yeah this is true. And I agree that there isn''t much difference between them and it has been seen this season that Jackson hasn''t made much of an impact (he''s had a decent few games but not enough). Which is why we''ll need a new striker in the summer.
  14. I''m not dismissing it. I just don''t feel as though I can comment on him this season and i haven''t seen him play for palace, and have only seen a few of his goals when I could be bothered to watch the football league show. Going by your statistics yes, 7 goals is decent for a mid table team. But that purple patch from Jackson turned out to push us over the line and get us promoted right? If he didn''t score those goals we definitely wouldn''t have secured second place.
  15. Was never really talking about him for palace this season anyway. He''s alright for them, but was saying he didn''t offer a great amount to us in our Championship season.
  16. He started quite a few against Leicester then went on to have a 7 or 8 game spell in the team before he got dropped. And he did try the 1 man up front against Barnsley away ( I was there). Didn''t create a lot of chances but won the game from two very good goals from Crofts. I''m not denying the fact that there is more to scoring goals as a striker but that''s what you''re judged on. And if you aren''t scoring goals as a striker you will be dropped.
  17. " just about scoring goals, you best go ask Lambert, the man who got us 2nd place last season, why he insisted in playing Martin until he got injured last season... " Because Jackson was out of form and NOT scoring goals. And Jackson was starting games ahead of Martin earlier on in the season until he stopped scoring goals. He didn''t really have a lot of options did he? Apart from playing one up top that didn''t really work. Hence why in the summer we went and bought two new strikers ...
  18. Obviously Chris Martin and Barcelona are sensitive topics. Maybe I shouldn''t comment in the future ... IMO being a striker is about scoring goals and Chris Martin didn''t do that for us in the Championship (4 league goals in total) and we had to rely on goals from Jackson in the end to push us over the line.
  19. He hardly set the world alight at Championship level and didn''t offer anything when he started earlier in the season so he has to move on. Seen that we''ve been linked with Rodriquez again by Sky. Would be a very good signing.
  20. Not Premier League standard?? He''s been brilliant for us this season and has chipped in with 8 league goals.
  21. Pretty sure under the FFP rules clubs can invest as much as they like in stadium facilities & youth development.
