  1. Fed up with the f''ing "in crowd" on this forum who have the greatest knowledge about NCFC in the world, football in general, and know everything about, well everything! The few seem to dictate what can, and cannot be posted, and in effect deter anyone not in the "in crowd" from posting anything at all.I thought this was a place for discussion, but it seems to be a place for dictatorship!  Not sure why people feel the need to shoot people down on here - doesn''t seem to happen to the same extent on other Clubs forums.People post things they think will be of general interest, and get shot down..I won''t ever post on here again - shame - and its hard to believe we all support the same Club!So carry on and argue with yourselves - I don''t need a tin hat as I won''t be bothering to check any drivel this post generates!
  2. The post I copied and pasted was from Avillafan.com btw
  3. Hope so - I would like to think Villa is not a big enough step up to leave - not sure the owner is prepared to invest much in the team, so I think the job might be a poison challice anyway!Fortunately even IF Lambert did go - we have McNally to sort things out.
  4. Is this true?  Just lifted it from the Aston Villa Forum."The rumours are now circulating we have finally made contact with Norwich about Lambert, it''s down to them to let us talk, it does seem however the shortlist is one of Lambert, Martinez or Benitez, and if we fail with any of these then RDM will be approached.....lets be honest, any of these are way better than what we had previously....lets hope Randy has enough in the bank to snatch one of these....... "
  5. The fact he is 31 means we would not get 6-7 million for him!
  6. Lets not forget that within the plan was also to make Carrow Road 35,000 capacity, in order to be a sustainable Premiership Club - I suspect that will mean more borrowing - so best to clesar the original debt first perhaps.
  7. The rumour I heard from the Peterborough fans was that Drury was going to join them on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent move in the summer.   That wouldn''t have surprised me too much, but with our current defensive situation, I don''t think it will happen - Drury was solid today (a few jitters early on but hasn''t played much) and he still doesn''t let us down when called on - he''s still got it!
  8. We will stay up no doubt about that, the sooner we pass the safety margin though the better - I just wondered what people thought the safety margin would be this season. My thoughts were that even just another couple of wins and a draw might do it.I would hope, barring major injury problems etc, to finish comfortably mid table though, provided Lambert stays.
  9. We are doing so well this season, not that I didn''t think we would do, I think we just surprised everyone who had not followed our fortunes closely - particularly the so called pundits. Just wondered how many points people think we will need to be safe this season?  The points needed to avoid relegation, from 2004/05 onwards were:          2004/05  34 points          2005/06  35 points          2006/07  38 points          2007/08  36 points          2008/09  35 points          2009/10  31 points          2010/11  40 points          2011/12  ?? points
  10. Good luck Oli - hope you find a Club quickly and get your career back on track. As has been said he scored some important goals for us but I think, for his experience, we climbed the league tables a bit too quickly for him to have a a realistic chance of first team games.Good player though, and I am sure he will be a good signing for someone.
  11. Morrison did well today - no surprise to  me - he has worked hard all season - whatever happened he needed a rest - but came on fresh and scored!
  12. maybe you haven''t read my posts - so I will give you the benefit!
  13. There should be no player bashing!  We are doing fantastic - we are top of all the promoted teams and with a committed team, and players who obviously have huge commitment to the cause.Expectations are maybe a bit too high - 17th position would be an amazing achievement this year - if we finished higher than that we would have surpassed most newly newly promoted clubs!
  14. he he - you mean there was football before 1992?
  15. Cheers Bury Yellow & Judderman - it wasn''t meant to be contreversial - just something me & the Mrs saw and heard and wondered if it had an affect.
  16. I am not doubting that we will stay up.We have played Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City and Liverpool away and ok so we have to play them at home still, but we have also learnt a lot in the meantime.I think we could do with a few more bodies to keep it fresh, but even if (worst case scenario) we didn''t get any - we still have players coming back from injury as has been said.Lets not also forget that we are still learning and improving (less penalties given away) and that Lambert plans way ahead, as does McNally - so we are usually ahead of many in the transfer market. I''m just enjoying the Premiership ride!
  17. Totally agree - Morrison has played so well, he''s quicker than Holt and lighter on his feet as well as able to hold the ball - oh and scores goals.  Thats why Lamberts picked him over Holt. But to his credit as well, this has managed to keep Holt totally focussed on getting and keeping his place.  Not only that, for big men, they play well together.  It''s working great for the Club!Is Morrison tired?  If he is Lambert will realise and rest him - if not he will play him.Either way, and with Martin getting game time at Palace, its a win win situation for our Club!
  18. Moaning old boy canary - what you don''t understand is that I am not having a go at Morrison - is that beyond your comprehension!  I think he''s done a fantastic job for us, and no doubt will continue to do so.There are many supporters that see players arrive at the ground loads of times, who clearly know roughly how long they arrive before kick off, and so have a better idea of timings than I do.  So nor are my questions stupid.Did I in any of my posts "have a go" Morrison?  Hmmmm - nope - I don''t think I did. What I think I did was stated what happened, and, as I didn''t know some answers, just wondered if someone else did  Big crime!!!!Clearly your responses show a lack of comprehension of the English language, and a propensity just to irritate rational people stating facts.Frankly I''m just bored with your petty and rude replies - I have better ways of spending my time.  Feel free to think what ever you want to think!
  19. I agree Morrison is not lazy - just a little off colour at the moment!Think he may well still start against QPR though, but it could be a big ask for him to work on his own up front at the moment if he is tired - which he has every right to be!
  20. It''s not rumour spreading - why would I!!!!!!!!   If I was young or stupid maybe I would - but I''m an ageing bloody accountant! So stop giving me abuse. No-ones answering the questions I am asking either!  Is 18.10 too late to arrive at the ground for a 7.30 KO?  I don''t know - we never usually stay in the hotel. There were other people there - maybe someone else on the Board saw what we saw?Only saying what me and Mrs Vintage saw and heard.
  21. Not Jackanory why would I - I have absolutely nothing against him as a player!  We were staying at the Holiday Inn at CR for a treat and wandered round that way to our seats in the Jarrold - me and my wife stood right right near him while someone got their shirt autographed by him when there was this exchange with him and another fan.He arrived at 18.10pm - thats why I asked the questions is he normally as miserable as he appeared and also was he late - is 18.10 late arriving for a 19.30 kick off?  I don''t know as we rarely stay in the hotel for the night, so are rarely there when the players arrive.  He was the only one we saw arrive. Please don''t just randomly accuse me of telling stories just because you no nothing about the incident or me - there were at least two stewards and a few supporters around when it happened!
  22. Was Morrison late arriving for the Tottenham game - I''m not sure how long before he would normally arrive?   We actually saw him arrive, with a mate after all the other players had, and someone (a supporter) said to him something along the lines of "you''re late" - the exchange seemed to be along the lines that he (Morrison) thought the kick off was later than it was, so maybe was late. One of the stewards then said he would/could be fined two weeks wages.Anyway - we  thought his attitude was really miserable when he arrived at the ground (or is this just his normal self)?  We both commented after the game that we thought he had a poor performance, and was this the reason?  There were only a few people around when he arrived - just wondered if anyone else had heard this, and whether it is a factor?
  23. Leicester have £2M bid accepted for Ishamel Miller
  24. PinkUn says Holt story is rubbish on Twitter
  25. Don''t like his attitude at games, but on TV he comes across as a fairly good bloke.I used to hate him with a passion, but the players that play for him seem to think he is a great manager and very supportive of his team - maybe more than many managers. This is probably his last chance to manage in the Prem, and after what he did with not that much money I reckon he deserves a decent crack at it - which he doesn''t seem to be getting.Never mind eh -  Suits us thanks!
