  1. Well, in the case of Normann and Sargent they both have minor injuries as confirmed after, nothing serious but not to be risked. That’s the exact point. Imagine we played either of those two, lost anyway and then they turned a niggle into a full blow injury and miss league games… ‘OH HOW NAIVE OF DANIEL IT WAS ONLY A CUP GAME’. Can’t risk it I’m afraid. That said, I was hopeful of Kabak and Sorrenson getting minutes and was quite disappointed about that.
  2. Yeah, I think that’s exactly what Chelsea, Man City and Everton we thinking about him when he scored for us last time we were up….
  3. Thats the funny thing isnt it, Football can be so mad and we could just get that bit of luck on Saturday; an OG, a big deflection, a penalty and a keeper red carded and we could be up and running. That dark cloud lifts and we go to Burnely confident and get something there too. Whilst unlikely, strange things have happened than us picking up 6 points out of nowhere and all of a sudden the mood music and the atmosphere at the Brighton game changes 180 degrees.
  4. I did a 3-5-3 choice earlier in the thread, if he was really going to go back to basics (and something I think we would not be able to argue against, even after the match because so many have called for it) then I think a 4-2-3-1 of the following would be my second choice: Krul Aarons Kabak Gibson Giannoulis Normann Sorrenson Sargent Dowel Cantwell Pukki
  5. Weirdly I still think we can fix this; here's why (and what we didn't see last night) I honestly think we have players who are going to come good/go up a level. For me the prime candidates for that are Kabak, Normann, Cantwell and Pukki. With those players we have a spine of a side that we can build around and I think personally are capable of taking the game to almost all of the sides outside of the traditional top 6. I think if Farke is brave and is willing to be more ruthless with dropping certain players then we have a shot of make a really solid core group with some adaptable options around them depending on the week by week tactics needed for different opposition.
  6. I think going on a losing run is like try to turn a huge ship, it can happen but it takes a huge amount of effort and can look almost impossible to stop the momentum. But stop it must. I think we do have the character within the team, and we should also have enough young players desperate for their chance to play that we can create that energy and aggression. Some key players for us could still go up a gear or two; Aarons and Cantrell both not hitting the potential we all know they have so far. But thats where my hope lies; Cantwell gets back to his best, Pukki feeling confident in front of goal, Normann and Kabak settled with a run of games. In those players we have a spine of a quality team that should be able to create performances that we are not seeing at then moment.
  7. Watching it back and listening/reading the various pundits around, he takes his share of the blame for pretty much all 3 of the goals, though no one exactly covered themselves in glory in the back line. If Gibson and Giannoulis can be dropped perhaps it is the time to give Hanley a break and a chance to up his levels through training first. It doesn't need to be seen as a negative, but as we now have the numbers to be able to provide competition and also Kabak ready to come in, surely we need to be ruthless and say right, time to try something else, up your game and fight back into the side.
  8. I think there is a good player in there, they wouldn't have him involved if they didn't believe it and the same with the mood music from the club about how he is viewed. He isnt crap, he isnt rubbish or a lost cause, However... We cant expect a player who hasn't had more than a handful of starts in 2 seasons of football to come on and look a world beater. Sharpness in front of goal comes from exposure to chances and game time. I'm looking at his starting stats and last season he barely got a look in, he isn't going to get it any easier now. He HAS to go out on loan in January and get some experience, even if thats to get him ready for a Championship season with us next season.
  9. I think he hasn’t scored for them yet right, a lot of work but we need someone capable of taking the goal responsibility off Pukki and it appears Idah isn’t at that point yet. He needs the chance to go to a Swansea or a QPR and have a season of consistent football.
  10. For me krul Arrons Omobamidele Kabak Gibson Gianouliss Normann Lees- Melou Sargent Cantwell Pukki I think that side could get a draw
  11. It should have happened last year, not sure if injuries or Hugill not stamping his authority as back up were to blame. He hasn't had a full season at pro level yet and I can understand how he will ever get better playing a cup game here and 5 minutes there.
  12. Bit less of a problem when your Man United and you could throw huge money at him or sign Ronald to make him perk up don't you think. comical comparison.
  13. jesus here we go again. BUENDIA WANTED OUT. Doesn't matter about a contract its not worth the paper its written on in football, and look how pants Kane has been since Spurs tried to strong arm a want away player.
  14. Well, come on, lets get a good list going for the witch hunt. Its clearly the loans for our youngsters that aint workin', should be out getting champions league experience not playing for Television Star in the dutch league!
  15. I think my positives were Omobamidele and the energy shown by Dowel when he came on, showed a bit of desire. The rest a mixed bag, we did that thing where we were good for 20 minutes again, and its hard to then say who was actually good for the whole match.
  16. Jesus, here they all come from out under their rocks.
  17. Yes for me now. I thought back 3 looked promising, though Mumba should have cut out the cross for their 2nd. Everton I go with: Aarons Gibson Kabak Omobamidele Giannoulis
  18. Yeah THIS, he has to go and play a full season somewhere, its not going to work any other way.
  19. A lot of running, but so far not seeing anything that would suggest he's going to solve our lack of goals. I want anyone who pulls on the yellow and green to succeed, but 2 tame shots and the second an awful decision to not square it to pukki for a tap in. Should also have backed himself as the penalty taker.
  20. Curious.. might come off, have to say there are some players there who have an opportunity to demand a start in the league if they can show what they are about tonight. Was sort of hoping for a Lungi/Normann central partnership but oh well.
  21. Urm, well thats a bit odd.. for a start Zimmerman is now 5th choice so not sure what your issue is there. Just leaving out Gibson and Kabak too? weird.
  22. yamn. have a cup of tea and chill out, ipswich won you should be happy.
  23. We can add this to the bottom of the barrel level of thread quality. Seriously, he's one of our own players someone we are meant to back and obviously has something serious enough to keep him from playing going on in his life to stop him from being available. Why is it some on here and other places want to jump to the immediate negative. It sort of makes me feel like we don't deserve good players or success because too many of our fans are tosspots
  24. hmmm quite a split then. I'm quite torn really, like I said, I think he is capable of being a bottom half Prem defender but he isnt quite up to speed yet. Such a hard judgement call, one that could either be a masterstroke or seriously bad news.
