  1. If you listen to the podcast he did with Jake Humphery he goes into the reasons why he left, there's nothing to be seen here really. And as others have pointed out, he actually left before they were promoted and long before things went wrong with Wagner etc.
  2. I mean perhaps, but that would be quite an extraordinary thing to explain to their fans, they have been on a winless run similar to ours which is why they've sacked their manager. Not sure if waiting for us to hit 10 or 11 games without a win is going to be an attractive option.
  3. Wake up? haha reading that drivel suggest maybe you go back to bed!
  4. Before I start receiving abuse for this, I’m going to set out that I’m actually in the middle of this in terms of opinion, I’m asking as I’m curious to know what everyone else’s thoughts are. At the close of the window, like many I was very happy with the business.. though a little surprised by the sheer numbers of incoming players after what I thought was being sold as Quality over Quantity at the start of the window. Anyway, what I’m curious to know is, do you think we would have been better off blowing roughly the same money (give or take a few million) on just Armstrong, Billing and Ajier? No doubt if we had only signed 3 players that would have drawn its own criticisms, but do we feel that the quality bar has been raise? Would those 3 have had more of an impact blended into last seasons squad? My opinion? Judging by how well Billing in particular has done so far this season, perhaps he would have had a big impact. I’m still curious to see how Tzolis could do, Rashica as well, the others I’m not so sure about, barring Normann.
  5. Id rather have Adam Lambert... at least he can hold a tune.
  6. Its a hypothetical, I think Brentford are showing the benefit of keeping a team together and to an extent that purple patch we had at the start of the last time we were up (by that i mean even in the games against Chelsea and Liverpool we looked dangerous that season and scored). I think Normann is the only player I would want to swap in, him alongside Skipp and linking up with Buendia and Cantwell would be sensational. Still, no point torturing ourselves about it now.
  7. I think Lungi is deserving of a chance now, I understand people always describe the 'becchio' effect and that as fans we always think the answer is the person not in the picture. However, we know Jacob is a solid and promising young footballer and to be honest lets get him in there to get some experience, because we might need to build the midfield around him next season if we go down and loose Gilmour, Normann and probably PLM too.
  8. I understand the concept, but Gilmour there.. nope from me. How about Rashica for Gilmour and Dowel behind Pukki
  9. No, it was 4-3-3. I like you lakey, im generally an optimist too and thats my hope with a change back, to get back to what works for us, but your wrong unfortunately.
  10. I think the team and the formation that got us up needs to be given a chance now. This dramatic change of style, trying the 4-3-3 and then 3-5-2 appears to not be working, we have managed a respectable draw away at Burnley and then a frustrating home draw with Brighton where in both games we haven't looked anywhere near like ourselves. It isnt working. We look toothless. We aren't good enough to try and win a game 1-0, not that we are scoring in this set up at the moment. I get that Buendia and Skipp are gone, but I still would like to see us revert to the style of 4-2-3-1 and side that got us here and looked so dominant as we got a record points haul in the Championship. The formation and the number 10 especially was key. Dowell deserves a chance. Todd at 60% is better than what i saw out there today. Against Leeds for me it has to be: Krul Aarons Kabak Hanley Giannoulis Normann Mclean/Gilmour Rashica Dowell Cantwell Pukki Im at a point now where Id rather see us loose a match 4-3 or 3-2 and actually attack, link up play and make use of Pukki, than us trying to just crowd out the other team in defence and hope they make another of a mistake we can nick a goal and sit on it. That formation and most of those lads got us here, let them have a go, and lets get Tzolis and Idah on before 60 minutes if it still ours for the taking.
  11. indeed, you are clueless. we don't need to talk about it anymore.
  12. No chance, the compensation required to pay off Farke and Martin who both are on fresh new contracts will never happen.
  13. Not sure really, I cant tell if its him, the player or the summer transfer work which is most to blame. Likely a blend of all 3, though at the moment Im struggling to believe our current side would beat last years formation and starting 11.
  14. out of your mind if you think Bruce is the answer. I was polite before, I will be blunt now. Horrible idea. clueless.
  15. Along with 'free hit' we can add 'must win' to the list.. unless its the playoff final or the last day of the season and 3 points then that meaning is never right. However, the Leeds game is a massive one, it will put us in a horrible position if we were to lose that and open up such a gap.
  16. I know we all hate the phrase 'free hit', so instead what I will say is that Saturday would be a very respectable point if we were able to shut up shop for a 3rd game running, however the next 6 games appear to be the ones which will decide if we will be in it to the very end, possibly even staying up with a bit of breathing space... or if the results go the opposite direction, effectively cut off at the bottom before Christmas. Baring a never before seen change of form for the second half of the season, it would likely be it for this top flight adventure. So lets look at them Leeds (H) Brentford (A) Southampton (H) Wolves (H) Newcastle (A) Spurs (A) Spurs have made the list as under Nuno and between now and then, depending on how they are doing and we have done could become a smash and grab. Looking at those, whilst perhaps unrealistic going off our current form I would be saying we need to be targeting between 10-11 points. So win 3, draw 2, lose 1. I'd be targeting the home games as the ones to get all 3, though an over aggressive and confident Brentford could be beaten by fast counter attacks, but a draw probable a good outcome at their place. Newcastle could be in a very odd place with their manager, but for the season we should be looking to draw up there and try to beat them at Carrow Road. Spurs a chance for a bonus result if our form has really turned around. So what do we think? The fact we still get to play Burnley at home, Everton at home, Watford again etc is the hope I'm holding onto, but the catalyst to get anything will be if we can go on a mini run through November.
  17. I still think its Kenny for the chop for me at the moment, especially if we were to revert to a 4-2-3-1 or a 3-4-2 PLM whilst not exactly tearing up trees and getting the notice of Normann does seem to be getting a little bit more adjusted to the speed and the physicality required of him in this league.
  18. If you wanted to take a massive regressive step backwards. He cant get a team with players like Wilson, St Maiximan etc going, how and why would he do any better, and how could he be trusted to play younger players when we see Jamal on the bench week after week for them. Its a NO from me.
  19. I do wonder if slowly the results will start to change for them, I watched and fair play they went for it, but at the same time if Werner wasn't so pants at finishing then Chelsea could have been out of sight. I could easily see them slowly start to see that 'lucky' streak go and then it will be a test of character if they will be willing to keep that style going after, for example, 3 losses on the bounce.
  20. If we go for the 3-5-2 again I'd be happy to see Cantwell in as part of the two up front which would allow him to be almost a floating number 10
  21. I've often thought about this when I have jumped on a Euromillions roll over, £184 million would be quite a big responsibility. A lot of opportunities to do good and some easy quick ways to waste it! In terms of Norwich I always thought funding the City Stand rebuild would be a good way to use a portion of it. Make Carrow Road look 'complete' and modern, get the capacity up to 32,000. I'd also want as a condition for 500 seats every game available to various charities, kids homes etc and also for there to be other community facilities built into the stand. Id also be a bit cheeky and make half the funding an interest free loan, payed back at 1 million a season but only in seasons Norwich are in the top flight... would act as an extra bit of fun for my family in the years to come with regards to Norwich doing well!
  22. Fairly sure that a condition for both of them is for us to be still in the premier league to complete the signing. Also protects us from spending 32 million after a relegation. I think both players wouldn't have joined if these clauses were not in place.
  23. True, but you have to call it out when we see it. I think to be honest BK8 showed that we as a fan base are pretty good at not being hypocritical and try our best to keep our own house in order.
