Bear in mind (in case anyone wasn''t aware) this game is likely to be moved to the Sunday if Newcastle get through to the next round of the Europa League.

All applications for Spurs successful
e10_yellow replied to ryan1992's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Surprised at that after the demand last season, although I guess it doesn''t help they gave barely a week''s notice that the applications were open before the deadline. Here''s hoping for a repeat of last time -
I''m a season ticket holder at Carrow Road, does that make me a reliable source?
-
The club officially won''t accept a neutral/home end ticket. I guess you could submit it anyway and hope they don''t notice when counting them up, but the tickets do look visibly different and have ''Away Area'' or ''Neutral Area'' clearly printed.

I''ve had two recommendations - The Brewery Tap, which is just over the dual carriageway from the station, and Charters, a pub on a boat a couple of minutes'' walk from the ground, just next to the bridge that you''ll cross if walking from town centre/station. Has a big beer garden too. Both are run by the Oakham Brewery so do good beer and food.

Just a Heads Up Ref.Spurs Away.
e10_yellow replied to TIL 1010's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Just seen it on the website, I thought the deadline seemed a bit tight. Of course the application form hasn''t actually been uploaded to the article, so even though I want to print it off and apply now I can''t. -
Lambert and Tom Hanks
e10_yellow replied to im spartacus canary 's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Tom Hanks! I guess I can see now why they go on about being a Big club, that explains why Lambert wanted to Cast Away from us. -
I think the point is you will be able to buy as many tickets as you like on the gate at Hull whatever time you turn up.

Norwich make bid for Snodgrass
e10_yellow replied to priceyrice's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I reckon this is why the away kit hasn''t been launched yet. Snodgrass, Howson and Johnson for the photo shoot. Ideally in front of Leeds City Hall. -
Heskey in talks with Ipswich

Building for the future. -
1,200 will be a great turnout if true, was expecting about half that. Fantastic effort.

I''m applying in the proper away end this year but went in P4 last year right at the edge of the block and it was all Norwich. There''s no segregation (e.g. stewards or netting) between the ''away'' and ''neutral'' so if you go in P4 it''ll just be like being in the away section.

Fair enough 52canary, as you might surmise coach travel is not really my cup of tea but hope the journey is plain sailing for you!
-
Is anyone brave enough to do it on the official coaches? Departing at 7am for a 7.45pm kick off, sounds utterly horrific. Would love it if someone did some kind of liveblog of the experience so I can live vicariously through it though. Schadenfreude.

Heads up for those going. The Football Ground Guide etc recommend Dalmarnock as the closest train station to Celtic Park. However this station is closed for most of this year, so the nearest is now Bridgeton (4-5 minute jouney from Glasgow Central). Was lucky to be able to rejig my travel arrangements without too much trouble after the date change, should be a great night.

I bought a Celtic ticket online on Monday this week and it arrived yesterday.
-
If the person who takes the ticket is U21 then they can just use it, no problem. If they are an adult they''ll have to pay an upgrade at the ticket office, which I think is the difference between the ''season ticket cost'' for each match (i.e. cost of season ticket divided by 19) and the casual ticket price (i.e. cost of the seat if on general sale)

newcastle away tickets!!
e10_yellow replied to johnnyryan1970's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Away end tickets will almost certainly be available on general sale through the club, don''t get ripped off/go in the home end -
Thats 3 games he will miss then
e10_yellow replied to jim blair's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Hoveton ffs. Obviously was desperate to prove he actually went to a Liverpool game for once in his life then. -
Will check your pics out later. I went to England v Sweden in Kiev, Denmark v Germany in Lviv and Italy v Ireland in Poznan. Fantastic trip, loved all three cities and despite some tricky travelling logistics it all ran with unprecedented smoothness! Particular NCFC-related highlight was a visit to the historic FC Start stadium in Kiev (where the 1942 ''Death Match'' took place) where an amateur football team who play in yellow and green were having a few beers after training, got chatting and they knew NCFC well from watching Premier League games, spent a very pleasant couple of hours sharing their beers on the dilapidated terraces as they chanted ''Norwich City! Norwich City'' across the stadium! The most famous football ground I''ll ever have a kickabout on as well. Surreal but awesome!

Barclay Boy: Season in the sun
e10_yellow replied to jammis's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Fair enough, however it''s still there on the Amazon page from where I would be making my purchase. Like I said, just trying to be constructive. Will look to pick up a copy when it comes out. -
Barclay Boy: Season in the sun
e10_yellow replied to jammis's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Having enjoyed the (I assume?) similar diary format of Norfolk N Good, I quite fancy reading this when it comes out in paperback, but the ''product description'' on Amazon could really do with some work. I remember someone else made a similar point a few months back and you stated it would be rewritten before publication but clearly not. It''s the Barclay Stand, not the Barclay''s Stand, for starters. Trying to be constructive here - I don''t know about others but a little bit more attention to detail would persuade me into making it a definite purchase rather than a maybe! -
I too have been screwed over by this. Non-refundable train tickets. Unbelievable incompetence from, I suspect, all parties. Perhaps it might be appropriate if Norwich City were to refund the fans who are now significantly out of pocket through no fault of their own using the £20,000 prize the club were awarded last month for the good behaviour of those very fans over the season. Just a thought.

Anyone know if we''ll be in the away terrace for this? I thought they were planning to knock it down at the end of the season, but it seems the plans have stalled and nothing has happened yet this summer so it''s still there.
