1. Thanks Purple Being an expert in these things when we lost Doncaster did he get a golden handshake ? if so how much ? to criticise McNally is beyond beleif, sorry but had he not arrived I am convinced administration would have been acheived rather than premier league status and costs would still have been spiralling ie letting people watch us at a ridiculously low prices. By charging high prices for pre season friendlies alone this wont be a million miles off paying his bonuses. No McNally = No Lambert / No bank deal / No critisism of the boards actions / And a business leaking millions in waste /
 2.
I am going Saturday,so don''t presume i only want to see the big teams.I would like to see us play the Arsenal because, a)i have never seen us play against them, b)i live in an Arsenal/Spurs town so know a few reds that will be going up, c)because our games are getting shunted around,Saturday fixtures are basically the only ones i can get to.
Then surely you will take my point then - the likes of yourself should have been given first option. My real point is that a lot of people getting the tickets are only going because its Arsenal Man U ect, the games to date have had to have a marketing campaign to sell the tickets left.
 3. 1. 49 years 2. The whole team as everybody works for each other 3. Given 4. A club whos fans should support their club and not constantly try to wind up opposition players ie Balotelli and turn on their managers ie O''Neill. If Holt comes on on Saturday hope you wind him up. Definitely a club that is no longer what they think they still are. 5. No idea, like most teams you should beat us 6 - 0 but to the embaressment of your fans you wont because we are better than you think 6. I have no idea as long as we are not relegated I will celebrate 7. I have no idea - listening to your fans on 5 live anything short of 1st will be a disaster 8. My dad 9. When I was 2 1/2 - we support our local team 10. Not sure 11. 8 - 10 away all at home 12. Watching football at Carrow Road is as cheap as anywhere in the premier with one or two exceptions 13. Seeing us Swansea and QPR stay up 14. No   15. No because your fans will hound him out eventually I have a question for you - you have to sell many of your stars to balance the books yet are happy to have thousands of empty seats when we could fill them for you - are you happy with this policy ?
 4.
You were right as well.I don''t think i am going to get to that many games this season[:(]
Lol so with respect its not Norwich you want to see then just Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool. You could have easily got tickets for our first six games and in fact there are still tickets on Saturday for what will be a far more crucial game for NORWICH than the Arsenal game. Lets not start creating a myth that games are sold out and only a few ever get a chance. IMO those going to the Swansea WBA ect games should have first option when the big boys come to town. Dont know for sure but I bet its these guys who miss out.
 5.

I think nowadays, for the sort of money we can afford, you''re not going to get a 15-20 goal a season striker who also offers as much as Morison did yesterday. You either get an out and out Earnie-style poacher, or you get someone like Morison. If he can chip in with sort of 7 or 8 goals this season, and continue to offer as much as he did yesterday, then he''ll be more than worth what we paid for him.
Only 20 different players have scored 15 premier or more premier legue goals in the last 12 years and only 8 have scored more than 20 in a season. If Morison scored 10 goals in a season his value would be around £10m if he scored 15 that would compare him to the likes of Darren Bent £20m + and then the 20 + are Rooney Ronaldo Shearer Drogba Van Niselroy Henry even Torres has only done it once. 20 + goals in a season makes you worth in todays market £50m - £100m and £150K a week. So if Morison was to score eight that would put him amongst the top scorers.
Do you have a list of those 20 players?  I bet there''s some surprising omissions.   Just thinking DJ Campbell got 12 last season didn''t he?
The 20 were Teves x2  Berbatov Van Persie Bent x3 Drogba x2 Rooney x2 Lampard x2 Defoe Torres x2 Anelka Ronaldo x3 Gerrard Adebeyor Santa Cruz Henry McCarthy VanNiselroy Keane Andrew Johnson DJ Campbell actually according to the stats got 13 last year. After what I have shown here of course was the world of Michael Owen, Van Niselroy scoring for fun The further you go back the more you have scoring 15 + in a season. So to complete the premiership years and to bring back memories we have Henry x5 Shearer x9 Saha Van Niselroy x3 Forsell Anelka x2 Juan Pablo Angel Owen x6 Yakubu ( portsmouth ) Beattie Viduka x2 Hasslebank x4 Solsjear x2 Marcus Stewart ( Ipswich ) Kevin Philips Dwight Yorke x4 Michael Bridges Andrew Cole x4 Decanio Dublin ( Coventry ) Chris Sutton ( Blackburn ) Chris Sutton ( Norwich ) Berkamp Gallagher Ian Wright x3 Fowler x3 Ferdinand x5 Ravenelli Konchelsis Sheringham x3 Collymore Klinsman LeTissier x2 Beardsley Bright Cantona Holdsworth x2 Wallace Mick Quin David White ( Man City ) 56 players in total so not as common as people think. Very few players acheived this feat not playing for one of the major teams at the time. Hope that helps
 6.
will never happen. this morning already the wigan owner whelan has said that if it were voted through, he`d resign wigan from the prem.
If it happened like us his team would be thrown out of the Premiership to allow a Sheffield team possibly Rangers and Celtic Leeds ect to join. Maybe our way round it will be for Delia to apply for American or Russian citizenship.
 7. It changed about 5 years ago in England 15 years ago in the rest of the world. Now we have caught up the rest of Europe have spent the last 5 years training their kids the Barcelona way.

 9.
Why do people have it in the neck for Morison? He''s been brilliant, and he''s been on top form for his country as well. Also why does CMS keep coming up? There''s no proof he''d cut it at this level, and he was way overpriced at £3.5m.
It would not matter who it was as their only crime would be to take Holts place and therefore be disliked and slated by the people that cannot define the difference between what Holt did for this club ( possibly more than other player in our history ) and what he can do now. Year by Year this club needs to move on. The only thing that getting on Morisons back will acheive is Morison wanting to leave this club. I thought Morison shew how good he was in his last three Norwich games but after watching him against Switzerland I realised he was much better than those games had shown.
 10. This really has to be a wind up unless the op has had big money at the bookies for us to be relegated ? Not only his performances for us but did you not see Morisson play for Wales ? Immense and I for one was proud to say he plays for Norwich. Why keep going back Holt is part of our squad and a legend helping get us to where we are now. I am sure if called upon he will give his best and I for one will give him my 100 % support. Unfortunately his fouling at this level puts you under immense pressure however and is likely to turn games against us.
 11. I hope the Morison bashers watched him tonight he was outstanding.
 12.
I personally think we should go back to the diamond formation against swansea and blackburn. Be good to have hollt back on the pitch it would also give us a chance to see holt and possibly morrison up front together. Agree or disagree
Take a look at Holts stats on the Holt thread. Holt is a legend I agree and up until last year was first on the team sheet with our side built around him. This is no longer the case as we have moved from cannot win without Holt to cannot win with him.
 13. Some of you like your stats some dont but here goes. They have both started the same amount of games in prem 4 and 2 sub appearances both scoring one goal. That is the only similarity Assists M = 1 H = 0 Fouls made M = 4 H = 19 - Bradley Johnson our hard midfielder has made 6 starting appearences and is second to Holt with 8. What makes this even more astonishing is that despite just a few appearences Holt has committed the most fouls this season in the premier nearest being Adam of Liverpool with 15. Shots M = 6 on 5 off H = 2 on 3 off Points gained when Morrison starts 7 / 12 Points gained when Holt starts 2 / 12 Goals scored by NCFC when player on pitch M = 6 / 7 H = 3 / 7 Morisson was injured for the goal against Stoke
 14. I dont really get some of this thread. Surely our best team is not necessarily our best players our best team is a TEAM that wins and keeps us in the premiership. IMO it would not matter who Morrison was ie Kenwyn Jones Welbeck ect people would slate him not through being good or bad but because he dared to take Grant Holts place in the team. Every player in our TEAM is fighting for what most outside Norwich would think impossible ie maintaining our premiership status. If as fans we cannot accept new players coming in then that is a huge backward step. The role Morrison is being asked to play could not be played by any of our other players and the system looks solid. Lets also not forget that Holt has been just as bad in front of goal as anyone else at Wigan he missed the ball when faced with a tap in at Chelsea he missed the ball completely when all he needed to do was head the ball into an open net and against WBA he failed to react to the ball coming back out to him off a defender.   Many are demanding an established Premiership forward to score goals. Unfortunately they cost millions plus wages, and in our team ( we are not Man U or Chelsea ) they will only get the odd chance to score so there are no garuntees. If we wish to raise the money to sign a Kenwyn Jones or something we have no option but to raise the extra cash on top of what we have by selling Holt. Most including me would object to this, but it is a fact that to stay up this year or if we do stay up to consolidate next year it is simply a case of improving our players at every hurdle.   Managers are judged on results not on wether or not they play the best players. The problem is no different further up the chain ie do you play Torres, Drogba or Anelka. I am sure Chelsea fans have the same debate but if they win the Champions league do they care ?. Likewise every player in our squad is trying to push us to the next level. That next level will probably not involve a number of them but as fans do we really care providing our goals are met. Holt is a legend him and Lambert ( McNally off the pitch ) saved this club, football however is not a place for sentiment and if Lambert can keep us up why should we bother who plays. Who would have predicted our current two centre halves ? No one is slating Russell Martin as he is not our best centre half but he is currently doing the job better than anyone else so therefore fits into our TEAM.    Over our last three games we have played a new system and in the main with the same players. We have looked something we did not look last time in the premiership - a real premiership side. Not long ago there were people on here suggesting this was a step to far for Lambert. Now we are winning everyone thinks he is the real deal again. He did that tatically and selecting a different group of players and until they start to not win ( or look good ) I am sure those in possesion will keep unless of course he sees an opportunity to do something different that he feels will win a game.
 15.
Karen Murphy has today won the latest stage of her fight to air Premier League games...
Thanks Pete - hadnt seen that yet. Wonder how Sky will react ?
 16.
Okay let''s put things into perspective. Manure were shiite today compared to their three previous home games.
Whats the thing I am missing here ? Play Man U - worse they have played - Played Sunderland ( who looked preety good to me ) Worse performance of the season Played Chelsea - They never got going Played Stoke - we did not play after our long European trip Played Bolton - worse they have played all season - mmmm could it be these managers were embarassed by a team 2 seasons out of league 1 or could it actually be our tatics made them look bad. Get real Gene this was Man U''s first team other than Ashley Young and our tatics meant they could not play
 17.
Morrison needs to hit the target at least for starters....... Could also argue CMS *shrugs* maybe if Long was in a similar role as Morrison we would be complaining that we should have bought Morrison ??
Alex Ferguson says he caused more problems than anyone they have played against. The next level would be the likes of Connor Wickham and he costs £10m and £80k a week wages. Our club and manager need supporting if you can still moan after where we have come from then I suggest you go and watch a team in Blue and White down the road and should they get promoted I am sure they will have the money to sign Rooney Torres or Aguero
 18.

If you don''t rate Morison after that, you don''t know anything about football. That was as good a lone striker performance at Old Trafford as has ever been seen.
LOL, a crazy statement right there. He finishes like Jamie Cureton. And because I don''t rate him it means I don''t know anything ? Funny that. Maybe your over adulation means that you don''t know anything ?
Dont know who you would think is better ? Probably every team that finishes in the bottom 8 or 9 will not have a clinical forward because somebody like Augero Berbatov Dzeko with wages would cost something none of us have tens of millions. I think you keep posting about Jackson do you really think he could play up front on his own in the premiership ?. I love Holt for what he has done as much as anybody else, but if we keep having this fascination with a player because his name is Grant Holt we will be relegated. Fact Morison is our best fit striker especially in this role. He might not be the best ever but he gives every ounce in his body for the cause. Strangely enough I do think Holt could be the answer to keeping us up. Sell him to Leicester in January and the additional money added to what we have could be enough to get to the next level but there is no garuntee.
 19. I wonder if this will be the last Saturday as the European Court ruling is next Tuesday. Personally I think Sky will lose but appeal. If sky do lose I wonder what consequences this will have long term on our pockets and Skys investment into football. I assume if the sat companies win they can start selling to us to view from home ?
 20. Tevez was actually liked in Argentina and if this has already been mentioned I apologise, but the Argentinians now dislike the guy. He refused to play for Argentina in the Copa Del Ray.After much public pressure he agreed to play and the deal was he would stop his moaning. He was appalling apparently and dropped at which point he started moaning again to the press. He was recalled in the knockouts and was again appalling however it went to penalties and yes you guessed it he was the one that missed. Op please also consider 1. The reason why his kids were not here was that him and his partner split ( he possibly refused to  perform anymore ). They got back together and guess what - they spend lots of their time in Manchester 2. There will be many youth games at the weekend now where a child is asked to go and play and will refuse - footballers actions are followed 3. If this was Holt would you still consider him a legend 4. Nobody can afford him thats why he stayed. He has shot himself in the foot as he thought he was so good every team would want to buy him - serious misjudgement 5. Corinthians like City signed a successfull centre forward. Due to the Copa Del and his attitude now dont think they will want him anymore. I hope City can stick to their guns and make him suffer, however I bet they will have topay him a huge sum and although a huge drop he will still earn a week what most of us earn in 10 years. I hope he never plays for anyone again.
 21.
It''s not so much ''if'' as ''when''... and we should wish him all the very best and say thanks for saving the club from obscurity. After all of the disasters this regime have put in place it doesn''t bode well regarding a replacement.
This regime sacked one manager ( Gunn ) and appointed another ( Lambert ). Which one was a disaster and what does not bode well -Please look at McNallys record with Fulham / Celtic.
 22. Once we won last night I thought maybe most of those on show would be rested, however Man U have a Tuesday game, lots of injuries so may just be worth having a real go at them. Pity their game tonight is not away and tomorrow.
 23. Only a matter of time now imo until he is in the England squad. And whoever said he just stood there for their goal have a look and see it as you probably have not yet.
 24.
No not regreting anything, I stand by what I said. Morison played well tonight, but let''s not get carried away Sunderland were awfull especially at the back. For me he still struggled, especially up front on his own and against most over defences (as proved already) he will not get a sniff at goal. I hope I''m proved wrong but Morison will score 7-8 goals max.
Lol - Holt also played. Holt is my hero he got us to where we are and will always be a legend, but hey Morison can do everything that Holt can and is considerably quicker. If Morison scores 8 goals that will make him one of the Premierships top scorers - not many get double figures at this level and most of those play for the likes of Man U Chelsea Arsenal ect. We must move on and do what is best for our club. Lets face it up until now we hardly won without Holt in the team - unfortunately for him the reverse is now true and we win when he is not playing.
 25.
A victory for lambert; picked a team to nullify Bolton & Davies in particular; no star player - just an immense team effort. Ruddy 7 Fab save; little else to do Naughton 7 pace, position - simply secure Barnett 7 Another pen, def one Martin 7 Poor decision re the pen, but handled davies v well Tierney 7 secure and bombed forward Fox 8 Superb; my motm, we have missed his free kicks and brings a touch of class, so rarely lost the ball Johnson 7 Good goal and industrious Hoolahan 7 Focal point - but clearly tired as the game went on Pilkington 6, not involved enough for me, but tucked the goal away well but was tidy; the opposite of bennett really Bennett 6 positives - really involved in the game, genuine pace and caused them problems, negatives, final ball was so poor time and time again. Morison 6.5 Tireless and disappointed to be subbed, has half a yard extra over holt to show why he was not missed. Subs Holt 6; too theatrical, and my pet hate is always heading for the corner, but thats just me Vaughan 6 Still not seen much but due a start soon?
Ruddy had nothing else to do ?? must have watched a different match to me, the save that he made from the cross to stop Davies scoring was amazing and I think you will find the one where the goal kick was given he pushed it over the top. The save at the end was simply amazing I think you need to watch it on MOD tonight.
