1.

No probs Morty.

I think (I stress ''I'') that we certainly won''t finish higher than last season. I make that statement based on the games we have left, but of course I don''t have a crystal ball.

Not that we should be finishing higher than last season- in the real world we are going to be relegation to mid table contenders season on season.

Major investment is the only thing that would change that.

Plus quite frankly we don''t deserve it on this season''s average performances. In my opinion we are lucky that so many other teams have been equally poor. In seasons gone by we would be in the bottom three now without a doubt.

Hughton frustrates the life out of me. As we saw yesterday - when he gets it right and sets us up to attack we are not only good to watch but effective.

Bit there''s no consistency. Infact quite the opposite - we will be consistently beaten and tactically outmanouvered, and then suddenly, when everyone needs it, we pull a performance and result out of the bag.

It''s on that basis that I think he''s taken us as far as be can. For whatever reason he cannot motivate a squad of players on a consistent enough basis. Nor can he - and most crucial of all for me - get the tactics right on a consistent enough basis. He is too conservative, too defensive, just not daring enough. His negativity seeps right through that squad, onto the pitch, and into the crowd.

It''s not about being unrealistic and aiming at Chamoions League. But under the right manager we can push on further.

The majority of teams in this league are beatable with our squad, especially with a few improvements in the summer.

If he keeps us up he won''t be going anywhere. And I''ll continue to support the team at Carrow Road, of course.

But I''ll still feel that with the right man at the helm we can go even further. I honestly think Rosler is that man.
Cheers for replying Dean[Y]I think, for me, Hughton has cut his cloth accordingly based on the players available. Injuries and loss of form of key players has hit us hard this season, and made us extremely inconsistent.I think that Hughton, realising our strikers haven''t got the goals in them just now has had to play in a very conservative manner. And the fact that we have very little in the way of financial resources means that improvement will be a slow process. What happens if we finish in a higher league position than we did last season though? That will vex a few people! But I do see where you are coming from on your points, but really no one (including the board) can really fully judge until the season is done.
3.
......in the real world, we''re still three points off mid table, 12th to be equal points with 10th position and home form has seen us take  8 points from the last 12.Roll on Stoke.........

The real world being your real world......hmmmmm.....

  4. Whether we stay up or not, at the end of this season we should sack Hughton and take Rosler from Wigan. Assuming they don''t get promoted.

He did a great job at Brentford. Now doing a great job at Wigan.

Attack minded, yet a good defensive tactician. Good eye for a player too.

Personally I''d try and get him now, but I doubt Wigan would play ball and he seems to honourable a guy to walk out at this stage of the season.

So....hope we stay up, hope they don''t go up, then get him in.

    That''s my opinion.

  5.
I find it difficult to understand that I support a side that has supporters that appear to get more enjoyment out of their side losing, it is strange and concerning......... and these people will again go missing next week after we win our next home match.......and then they will come back again when we lose our next away match and so on...........whilst there are many on here who at least come on after every match for a decent chat about the match and also without getting abusive.........
I think you''ll find that no fan on here takes pleasure in a loss.

But what some take pleasure in is some of the arrogance of posters on here being proved wrong, or at least - misguided.

  7. Time to get the letters of HUGHTON steamed off the back of your city shirt, Morty.

Wake up and see this result reflects the real Chris Hughon.

Not the Man City draw. Not the Spurs win. Not the ten game run.

For the past year, or more, we have been incredibly negative, boring to watch, turning a victory or draw into a loss, and getting tanked.

Your love affair is looking really ridiculous.

  8.

You preaching control freak.

You''re like a Jehovah at the front door - you just have to relentlessly push your preaching onto others, rather than just accepting that someone is entitled to state a contrary opinion to yours. You get people''s backs up with your headmaster like rambles about why everyone who wants Hughton gone is wrong.

I dislike Chris Hughton as Manager of this club. I want him gone. I''m not going to change that opinion just to suit you.

Nor am I going to shout at him from my seat in the ground, nor berate our players. I''ll do nothing but support our team. But if I want to come on here and discuss and criticise Hughton, the club, players, then i will. It''s a discussion forum and it sure as hell isn''t owned and run by you. You pompous old fool.
If you actually bother to read my post properly you will see that all I am is asking for a bit of restraint in the name calling and vitriol,  not trying to stop anyone having an opinion.
Are you drunk? Or is your memory starting to go? Or both, perhaps?

I shall quote you to remind you:

"So go on, if you can''t get behind the club, get out of it. We can manage without you."

"There are reasons why he is still here. Best we all just accept that, get to the end of the season and take stock then."

In the context of the rest of your ramble that pretty much tells people two things.

    A) that you believe anyone who wants Hughton gone and is repeatedly saying so is not behind the club and can therefore do one.

And B) that we should accept that Hughton is here until the end of the season - as you''ve interpreted McNally as saying so, but more so because you say so.

You are a pompous preaching obsessive who is in denial of just how much you tell people how they should think/behave.

I honestly believe that you bring out the worst in people. I often wonder if that is actually your intention.
