Press Predicitons

Would be interesting to collate all the predictions from the media and the experts and mean it out...

Just from memory i would suggest it would be somewhere around 17th.

However, thats not to say we cant achieve a higher position. With Lambert in charge and a bit of luck with injuries etc who knows!?

So who has 'The Edge' next monday?

Mainly due to the fact Cardiff are at home against Borough I would say they have the slight edge. That and the fact that if they do, as i expect, and win - the pressure will well and truly be on us!

Having said that, and looking at the bigger picture, we have a home tie on the last game of the season and Cardiff are away to Burnley.

    Its going to be tight!

    two more

I know its all ifs, buts and maybes, but I would be very surprised if Cardiff manage wins over both QPR and Preston. Even if they manage to get the win over QPR they have to come back down to earth and travel to a Preston side battling for their lives.... All in the space of a couple of days.

IF they manage that then it would be extremely difficult to overtake them with just three games remaining.

Exiting times, and if i was to stick my neck on the line i would say we are realistically good for 7 points over the fixtures we have left. Whether thats enough remains to be say, one things for sure is Lambert and the boys are going to be giving it everything, and as a supporter thats all you can ask.

    Exiting times!!!

    John Ruddy Awful!!

I just think Ruddy is maybe a victim of circumstance a little. With what happened to Green in the world cup, the highlight of attention (via the media) has been shifted to goalkeepers - hense the reported chants of "greeno greeno" etc. Also, i still feel some are wrongly judging him based on what Fraser Forster did last season... Fraser has gone, forget about it!!

Of course he made a mistake which unfortunately resulted in a goal; but so did Nelson, Ward and Surman. I dont hear too much derision aimed at them on here (not that im advocating writing players off based on the odd mistake). At the end of the day players make mistakes.

Can people not just get behind the lad and give him a chance to prove his worth, he hasnt even played a competative game for us yet?

How about giving players a chance?

    20,550....

Fantastic support once again, and the envy of most if not all fellow Championship clubs.

Lets see if we can sell-out all the home league games!

5000/1 eh??.... Are you an independent bookies, because i cant find them odds anywhere!

I''i have a few quid on it if you dont mind; lets say £50. How do i place a stake??

    Chris Martin - Next Season

If he gets the right supply, with players like Fox and Hoolahan playing to his strengths, then i see no reason why Martin cant be knocking on the door of 20+ goals again next season. He has the ability to score goals when presented with the chances.

And to question his workrate is just ridiculous. He probably covered just as much ground as Holt did last season with his running off the ball.

    Lambert
"i want all new signings in by 1st july" 1 day left then-clubs a joke
He said he would like them in by the 1st of July, he didnt say they would be.

If only life was that simple.

Do we need a right back???

I want Martin to suceed as much as anybody but imho he''s not good enough for the week-in week-out requirments of championship football, its just an opinion.

This doesnt mean i wont give him him my full support (the same for all those who play for city). To suggest he''s being written off by supporters because he "wasnt deemed good enough" by Peterborough has absolutely nothing to do with it.

I would never judge a player until iv seen him in the flesh, and after watching him home and away last season I personally feel he''s not going to be good enough to cope against championship quality players.

If he does play though, I hope im proved completely wrong!

Do we need a right back???

I honestly believe if we go with Martin/ Spillane we are going to get exposed down the right hand side; especialy if Lambert goes with a narrow midfield.

Martin might inteligent and a good L1 player, but im not convinced hes anywhere near good enough for the championship. And as you say Spillane lacks experience so will i suspect be used as back-up or loaned out to get the relevant experience.

Of course this all depends if Lambert has the funds to do so. I wouldnt be at all surprised if Lambert went out and aquired a first choice right back.

Do we need a right back???

I actually believe its the second most important role to fill behind the goalkeeper.

There is no way Martin is good enough at championship level.

Leeds ahead of us to go up in betting!!

It means absolutely nothing that they are ahead of us in the betting. Besides, they can be favourites for the title, the fa cup and cruffs for all i care.. their arogance once again will be their downfall.

It suits us to be the underdogs... theres less pressure that way.
