1.
CUFCNYC can you give us your opinion of Tierney he may have been one of your higher earners but was he worth it? I think most of us will remember his clash with Hoolahan at your place last season and then his comments about the rumours of us signing him 12 months ago. We have Drury as our left back and I haven''t seen any I would swap him for. I suspect that Tierney is he as cover and to push for the place during next season. Would be interested in your opinion
Personally I was a big fan of his, but I would describe him as a ''kiss the badge'' player, who really doesnt care who he is playing for or where. I guess there is an agruement, why should he? Its not his hometown club, or the club he supported as a boy, but it has left a bit of a bad taste after the ''I would never join Norwich'' speech he gave us last year. As a player, decent Championship player, but a lot to learn before he is ready for a long run of games. Hugely committed, great in the tackle and does offer a good cross when he is high enough. He does however get caught out of position A LOT, and doesnt play well when the ball is knocked in behind him. He gave us 2 good years of service and the fee of £150,000 rising to £200,000  for a player out of contract in the summer is a great bit of business for us. Will we miss him? Yes. Am I totally deverstated he has gone? No, not really.
 2.
Morning CUFCNYC, Just thought I''d ask how you feel your season is going? Do you rate John Ward and what he is doing at the club? Have to say I am not surprised that we are where we are (thats not arrogance either) as I feel the set up of Lambert and Mcnally (along with backroom staff) are a fresh outlook compared to a few years ago. We are actually taking the football side of things seriously compared to when Doncaster was Chief Exec. How do you think your season will pan out?Good to have some sensible banter!!
Thanks guys and as you say, sensible banter is always the way forward and 99% of Col U fans want that too. Where to start with us! I think JW is doing a good job overall. We have spent the last 3 years hiring expensive managers, expensive contracts and I think we are now looking at a bit of book balancing. To us, or Chairman is a complete legend, much like you guys and McNally, but I think he invested to get promoted and is now looking at a bit more restraint. We lost Tierney, Reid is going to Scunny for £100k so thats 2 of our better earners off the wage bill. We have had Steven Gillespie for 2 years, paid £400,000 for him and he spends all his time injured so thats been hugely frustrating. We get really poor attendences still, even with the new ground, so I think we are cutting our cloth accordingly and seeing how far that will take us. I said midtable at the start of the year, and cannot see that changing much.
 3. Morning guys I think long enough has gone with the bad feeling between the 2 clubs, and I wanted to congratulate you on the season so far, and also aquiring Marc T. I don''t think anyone would have thought you could be as high as you are, and also, playing as well, when you went up last year. I would assume Lambert stayed because he had some assurances about budgets etc, but its nice to see he has really found a place he wants to stay at, and sadly for us, we were not that place. He will be a top manager (even if he drives you nuts at press conferences with his boring tone!) and hope you guys run close. I hope we can all go back to hating Ipswich now... and we could well be playing them in league One next year! Good luck for the rest of the season... also, you havent got any players we can borrow have you!? We seem to be having a fire sale!!
 4.
lol....... but what about the cock that thought he could take on 1900 fans...... before realising the police were behind him and wrestled him into a lovely big puddle face down!!!!!! hahaha priceless
Yes him... erm... OK... No excuses for him!!
 5. Sorry you feel that was because I think the vast majority of Colchester fans have nothing against your club or the fans. You however, didnt go to the game but manged to slag off the ground & fans without even going. Good luck for the rest of the season, I think you will get past Leeds at the top but you Sir... are an idiot.
 6.
I thougt I''d send someone at Col Who an e-mail asking them to pass it on to a certain Mr. R Cowling. I wonder if she will. But anyway heres a copy of the e-mail. ------------------------------------------------------- Dear Caroline, This message is not at all intended to offend you but I''d like to ask you a favour. Could you pass a message on to a certain Mr. R Cowling. Could you tell him to come out and give it the loud mouth about Norwich City being a local derby and all this other rubbish. Also I see that he was more than happy to big up the game before but now after a 0 - 5 defeat he seems to have shut up. Please don''t just delete this make sure he gets the message as we may never get the chance to play you again as we are going up and well you''re going nowhere. Could you ask him has he ever seen one of the best natural goal scorers ever Gary Doherty ? As I said this message is no way intended at you but the village idiot Robbie Cowling. Yours Sincerely, --------------------------------------------------- I did put my proper name just rather not post it.
I know you beat us but no need for that surely?
 7. Chaps, well done today and I have no complaints. You adapted far better to the conditions and apart from the first 15 or 20 minutes, you were all over us. I appreciate what the previous poster said about the hard work but we soent too much time dilly dallying around with he ball in our half where as the Doc and Nelson just got rid of it and I thought Holt was exceptional buying you time and space. This will hurt us no doubt but if Leeds sell Beckford, I fancy you will take them. I just hope we make the most of this ''learning'' experience and make the playoffs.
 8.

On the plus side it would make our court case with Colchester pretty academic...
Why? Just because he walked out on you, doesn''t mean we don''t get our money. You just use what you get from Burnley to pay us!
If you are awarded any I am sure you will get paid
I dont doubt that and I''m not trying to stir. I cannot believe he would leave you after where he has got you so far but then again, he said he was committed to us too.

 11. Same as what happened to us to be fair and he spent all summer buying players. As I said on another post, I''m really not here to gloat and I cannot see why he would leave you when he is halfway through the job. I do think he will take you up and 2 teams in 5 months surely doesn''t make him appealing to Burnley?
 12.

Sorry, I didn''t make it clear, they were asking Col U how much compensation for AB to come to Burnley!!
No chance! He isn''t even listed on the top names mentioned with the job!!
Nor was Roeder or Grant with us..........next.
Hi Wiz! Can''t see AB going to be honest. He was out of work for 10 months and seems to be very happy to just be back in a job. However, if he was odds on favourite for the job I would be VERYYYYYYYYY worried. Oh wait, Lambert is! I have to admit, I cant see him going though and sadly think he will take you up this year.

 14. Colchester fan in peace here and what on earth is going on with Lambert!? I have yet to see the bookies ever get it so wrong but it does seem there must be something in it for the odds to be short. He is done a brillaint job with you and I really do mean that, he would be STUPID to leave for Burnley wouldn''t he? I know he is an ambitious so-un-so but surely he wouldn''t go after 5 months!?
 15.
I personally think that looking back on the whole Mike Basset fiasco, Both sides should just let this drop.
Well thats not going to happen. We believe you poached Lambert, you agreed you did but we cannot agree a fee between us for the compensation. See you at the tribuneral!
