  1. I have ended up with 2 or 3 spare tickets for tomorrow''s match in the standing terrace. They are £20 face value but potentially open to an offer.
  2. I have one spare ticket available for today in block A Lower Barclay. Face value, £48 - can meet Nr ground. PM for details.
  3. Sounds alright to me. I think we need to remember that we are all football fans and stop with the division into seperate groups. One change can and will hopefully lead to further which benefit fans.
  4. You shouldn’t take it so literally. I know we’re an insular bunch with a fear of travelling more than 40 miles, every fan can be an away fan at some point.   Therefore the campaign is for the benefit of every fan.   Support the cause, or continue to find issues when there really shouldn’t be any.
  5. My point re discussing the merits of this particular campaign is that it aims to lower the cost of football for fans. It is limited in its reach yes, but it acts to raise awareness of the bigger issue – that football is too expensive. If you agree, then support the cause, not pick holes in it based on whether you benefit in the short term. As you say, you can’t focus on one group and neglect another, therefore the campaign is only good! The campaign, as others will and do should open up debates on the issue in forums where decisions are eventually be made.   There is a definite belittling of the campaign within this thread by a group of people who clearly don’t consider the campaigners to be of any intellectual / moral worth. It’s sad really…   Simple question; do you consider football is too expensive for fans? Answer yes; then do no belittle the campaign. Answer no; then there is something wrong with you.
  6. ''no democratic mandate''??? Bit heavy that and missing the point somewhat. If they say they are football fans trying to make things better for fellow football fans then that is fine by me. Why does everything have to come through officially recognised bodies etc. Perhaps the fact that football in general is in such a sorry state (cost of matches etc) is a good reason as to why such groups exist which you may not consider worthy of your interest. The interest you have shown thus far is to question in a manner which is not particularly helpful and can easily be construed as overly critical. Seeing as you and others have shown interest, why not meet on the day and make a proper judgement then. Message boards are really not the best place. It seems to me that we are at a tipping point in football where whole generations may be priced out of football, potentially ruining / changing the atmosphere of matches forever. To have a group, regardless of their credentials whose stated intentions are to bring about a change which can only be interpreted as positive for all fans is surely a good thing? The campaign may not be the best way forward, however it does, even if only in a small way help to raise awareness of wider issues. Why not support instead of critique?
  7. This is totally daft. A group of supporters, irrespective of their name or stature are campaigning to attempt to make football more affordable for all people. They have a plan which may or may not be the most effective method of reaching their goal. Instead of supporting or helping chumps on here simply seek to find problems which essentially come back to the fact they feel they don’t benefit from the goal.   Thankfully, this is only an online message board and is in no way representative of reality. My understanding is that everyone I have ever met who attends matches would like prices to be cheaper. This campaign aims to make that happen one day. So well done and good look to those working towards that goal. To the others, just leave it and go and moan about something else.
  8. Excellent peice following the West Ham match https://tacticiancolumn.wordpress.com
  9. What a load of waffle! You''ve managed to write a load of basic observations mixed with some made up $hit and then added some other guff to make yourself sound pretty pretentious.
  10. They are actually a requirement of the Premier League now to facilitate new 4K super HD broadcasting. Additional bulbs have been added to the 4 floodlight pillars and the a number under the roofs which focus on the goalmouths.
  11. http://planning.norwich.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=externalDocuments&keyVal=NTKWNZLX0P200 Hhhmmmmm
  12. Yeaaaaaaaah well this is a load of $hit! And people wonder why the rest of the world percieve us to be a small team... Average midfielder who had 1 good season out of 4. The good season being at a lower level. Yes he played well in a lot of games last season and scored some crucial goals, but so did Grabban, Howson, Martin etc... Getting £6m for him is astonoshing!
  13. I have 2 tickets in Block H of the Jarrold for Stoke tomorrow. Anyone interested before I rely on the club attempting to sell them?
  14. I need to buy some extra tickets for the Bournemouth match, tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow. For the Palace match I found the online system did not work until nearly 10am, by which time most decent seats had gone. Does anyone know if the online system was working properly for the Stoke game??
  15. Mate has pulled out at the last minute. £43 Will be in pub near to ground before.
  16. FFS... Johnny Howson is a delightful footballer. Watching him burst from defence on a box to box run is a sheer joy.
  17. Okay so I have not been following this as it seems to have taken a pretty familiar pattern without anyone saying anything hugely interesting whilst missing some pretty key points. Talk of the NDR and BDC Growth Triangle as pull factor for the club to move is in my professional opinion, somewhat wide of the mark. If you look closely at the Growth Triangle SPD you will find that the vast majority of land within it has been allocated as part of the BDC Site Allocations document. The document throughout all of its creation and subsequent adoption simply does not include a site that would be suitable for an expanding of NCFC. The Growth Triangle has been created to facilitate a growth in both population, housing and the economy. As a result the majority of the land within has already been allocated for such purposes. Housing, open space, retail and industrial uses are all catered for. Another key point is that NCFC are currently located within Norwich City Council. It is not within their interest for the club to relocate to another district. For such a move to occur I believe that an expanded Norwich City Unitary Authority would have to be created. The reason being is that very many of the fans using a new stadium in Broadland would still be using routes and services within Norwich City Council that are paid for by Norwich City Council. Politically therefore it does not add up as essentially taxes for residents will go up. Also obtaining planning permission would be a very long and most probably drawn out process. One of the key factors would be how a site within the Growth Area Triangle would fare when being assessed as part of a Sustainability Appraisal. Simply put, it would not fare well as it is in the wrong place. Yes it is possible that the NDR would assist in traffic however a stadium of 35,000 fans emptying on a Saturday evening would most likely cause unacceptable congestion. Many busses would be needed to travel to the train station, bus station and other points in or close to the city centre. There is potential for a new train station close to Thorpe St Andrew or Rackheath which is great, however the club if they were to build a stadium would pretty much end up footing the bill. As it is Carrow Road is actually in a very sustainable location for a club of its size. Next to a mainline train station, walking distance to many homes of its nearby fans and close to a major dual carriageway for others. The Joint Core Strategy which is the document behind the NDR plans and Growth Triangle AAP actually seeks to improve traffic movement within the city by creating ''rapid transit corridors along major routes in and out of the city centre which will further improve the access to Carrow Road. I apologise as that is all rather rambling as I have had a very long day slaving over plans... I shall finish by stating that I think we are very lucky to have Carrow Road having visited nearly all of our opponents venues in recent seasons. Only St James''s Park can match it for location. which is key, St James''s Park shows how a stadium in such a city centre location can expand. The City stand can relatively easily been redeveloped creating a stadium with a capacity of 35,000. I would rather the club spent a significant amount of money on building a truly unique and innovative stand rather than a whole new stadium. If we employ the right designers then we could be in for a treat. You only have to look at clubs abroad now how they are building ''English style'' stadiums with 4 individual stands instead of ''bowl'' style stadiums. All of the best stadiums in this country are those which have typically English design.
  18. "Clearly knows nothing about the clubs history with 3rd kits in the premier league too. ITS NOT THE FIRST TIME WE''VE HAD A 3rd KIT IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE!! What about the uefa season?? The dark blue one with a yellow trim You plank!" Erm... You''re the plank here I think. The 3rd kit you referr to was a Europe only kit, never to be worn in the Premieir League. The away kit which was a tasty white and purple design that season was the kit that would have been worn in the league and home cups. Think before ranting. And they are kits FFS - lighten up your boring chumps!
  19. The man is producing the best sales within the history of the club, don''t think he''s going to be sacked anytime soon... He has previously worked with several street wear brands, particularly within skateboarding apparrell. Personally, i think the kits are all great! We''ve had boring ''retro'' or ''traditional'' kits for far too long, about time we had some fun back. Lighten up you horrible chumps FFS!
  20. "Errea are the kind of shirt maker you find in the bargain basement bins at your local pound store. The material is scratchy, sticky and doesn''t allow your skin to breathe. It''s cheap and plucks easily, and we now have to put up with it until 2024. -.- " Crystal, talking sh¡t there! Never once seen a single Errea item in a pound store etc. sports direct however is full of big name shît. Grow up chumpy and stop wishing you were shopping in the OT megastore.... Enjoy being different dīckwād!! It''s who we are!!
