Thanks for sharing, nice to see him with a smile on his face! Before the tiredness caught up with him last season he looked to have real quality. Have high hopes for him next season but at the same time if we are offered £18-20m it would be very difficult to turn down such a profit on someone we paid a couple of million for a year ago.

Someone else here said they saw Mysterines so listened to their album in advance and was glad I did as would have probably been hanging round the bar if not. Arctic Monkeys have quite a few albums behind them now and the middle section was more songs from the recent ones which aren't really to my taste. Overall a good show and nice to see a big gig at the Carra!

Will be listening to more Mysterines, singer sounded like a scouse Brody Dalle. Hives were excellent, usual high energy and constant interaction. Enjoyed the start and end of the Arctic Monkeys but a fair bit of filler in the middle saw the crowd quieten down, like I was at a Norwich game for a bit.

Where did you see it was a free transfer? I saw recently they were expected to pay £1m+. -
Young hungry goal scorer
Grant Holts Moustache replied to For the future's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
If Sergant plays as a forward week in week out can see him scoring 20 plus in the Championship. His record kast season was 8 in 18 as a forward. Rest of his games were out wide which we can all agree he isn't really suited to. -
Abuse is not nice according to Webber
Grant Holts Moustache replied to TheBaldOne66's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I listened to it and whilst it was certainly combatative, he was clearly irked about a minority who abuse him in the streets. Said most of the time he has good conversations with fans when out and about its just the ones who shout at him from a distance. Think most people would take issue with that. -

Of course, had forgotten about that one. Pretty big money. Wonder if it was Milan who seem pretty keen on him. -
The Webber quotes thread
Grant Holts Moustache replied to Captain Holt's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
He said in the Goreham interview he isn't involved in this process now and was only involved in the initial search. Said MA is involved in board meetings and described him as being very astute, also that the biggest tie up is in working with the Brewers data analytics team to create new systems for recruitment etc. Was also quite clear that he didn't think MA would just be putting money in for transfers at any point as he has never done similar with the Brewers. Those who think a takeover will mean millions invested in players will be very disappointed. -
May 19th Webber interview

We didn't reject a bid that size. He said a record for a defender. So £15m plus which is what I think we got for Jamal Lewis. -
Krul or Gunn?
Grant Holts Moustache replied to TeemuVanBasten's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
On numbers alone Krul isn't even the best penalty stopper at the club. Posted these on the first page but excludes shootouts as couldn't find the numbers. Career Tim Krul faced 65 and saved 10. Angus Gunn faced 27 saved 8. Norwich Career Tim Krul faced 23 saved 7. Angus Gunn faced 14 and saved 6. -
Jamal Lewis?

Believe the intention was always that he would be a centre back. When he played his first game against Coventry in the league Cup at right back Alex Neil said afterwards that he will be a centre back long term. -
Krul or Gunn?
Grant Holts Moustache replied to TeemuVanBasten's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Krul has a big reputation for saving them but have seen Angus save a few in his time here so thought I would look up the numbers. This doesn't include shootouts as couldn't find that data. Career Tim Krul faced 65 and saved 10. Angus Gunn faced 27 saved 8. Norwich Career Tim Krul faced 23 saved 7. Angus Gunn faced 14 and saved 6. Looks like Angus is much better at facing down penalties based on those numbers. Would be interested to see with shootouts included. Personally have been in the Angus camp since last season. Krul is liekable and a massive personality but not the keeper he once was and his kicking is so poor these days. -
Luton Away

They showed last 12 game form on sky and we were 5th from bottom. 3 wins I think. -
The club doesn't put buy backs on sale until the entire stadium is sold out and even then they only used to be available on match day. Not sure if that's changed but have put mine up for buy back a few times in recent seasons and its never been sold.

Where is everybody?
Grant Holts Moustache replied to TeemuVanBasten's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Were quite a few empty seats around me in the lower Barclay today. Quite a few season ticket holders who have been there for years not showing up recently. -
9 points behind 1st..
Grant Holts Moustache replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
They were just OK today, they were nothing special and being in a position where they could go second doesn't mean they are good enough to finish there. If they get a play off spot it will be a very good season for them. At the moment we are very much a team that's less than the sum of its parts. -

Grant Holts Moustache replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I saw us dominate possession for long periods against a team that was just OK and we created maybe two good chances. It's not like it's even the first time this season we have lacked a plan on how to break teams down. It's too easy to just stick players behind the ball and wait for us to fail. -

Doesn't matter how many points off we are when there is no visible plan/coaching on how to win games. -
I've seen enough, Dean Smith has to go
Grant Holts Moustache replied to Petriix's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
There's nothing on show that makes me think he should stay. Hasn't been good enough all season and are now getting the results our performances deserve. How many times do we have to see Sargent played on the wing when Pukki is clearly so out of form. For that alone I don't think Smith should stay.
