1.
Good pics, but does anyone have any pics of the nest? I think this site is now a DIY store (or something like that).
You''re thinking of Godfreys on Riverside Road. The Nest was further up the hill (which is now industrial units). There is a house halfway up the hill with a club plaque on the wall saying this was the site of the Nest, you need bloody good eyesight though as it''s very high up. The Nest was situated in the area where the chalk was being mined, hence Chalk Hill Road being just round the corner. If you look at one of the pictures you can see the chalk hills behind one of the stands. In Canary Greats one of the first guys interviewed had a good long throw and he tells you how he used to practice his throw ins before games up against the chalk walls.
2.  This keeps repeating over and over again. Something is wrong here and to keep blaming the players week after week is so dangerously stupid. Everyone says we have a great team and squad but it isn''t working. The buck doesn''t stop with the players, it stops with the manager The problem here is Worthington has been put on some glorified pedestal because he is the first manager to project the team forward after years of s**t. But they weren''t years where the managers were the problem, or really the players but the funding and the clubs stability were the problem. Had the previous managers had the same funding, they''d have done well. Worthington has had over 6 million to spend on what he wants this season in a championship where 80% of the teams don''t spend a penny We''ve had the pi$$ ripped out of us by some clubs that would beg to be in our position (ie Ipswich, who are going to aim for the playoffs with nothing, AGAIN!) Still, after 34 games and 15 losses, people that have had enough are being told to get behind the manager and the team, and it will come good. When exactly?
3. If it works the same as Carrow Road, then the promoter will give the scum a proposed hiring fee for the facilities (not that they have any), so you will be contributing to the scum. However the tickets are only being sold to scum season ticket holders at the moment then go on general sale on Friday, so they expect to sell 28,000 which would leave 27,900 for general sale if the scum season ticket holders all bought a ticket each!
4. But Worthington knows loads about tactics.         Every morning he goes to the sweet shop to buy some, but can never decide whether to have the green or orange ones.
5. We are trying to organise everything on one site, rather than loads of different ones. Please join this site and all ideas can be discussed and the best course of action decided on.   http://yourchoices.org.uk/forum/index.php
6. Well if that''s true it''s bloody stupid of the club, and would be a massive over reaction to a peaceful protest. No way would it get violent or unruly
7. I think I was the one standing behind you just to the left. I was the guy who went over and spoke to the people leaving the directors box and got them to take a car sticker with them. I have known that guy and his family for years, but he said due to his ill health he couldn''t stand there and protest with us, as much as he would have liked to.
8. Still not fit. http://new.pinkun.com/content/NCFC/Squad/Injuries.aspx

10. All his stats are here http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=36002 Played 20 odd games last season, but looks like he''s fell out of favour this season.
11. I must admit that last night was probably the worst I have seen us away fans (and I''ve done Stoke, Watford, Luton and Leicester this season). Never seen so many leave so early before and be so quiet. I know there wasn''t a lot to cheer about, but you could sense after the 1st goal went in that most people thought "Oh God here we go again". I had a pocket of flyers with me, and everyone who was offered one took it without any degree of animosity (must admit that most of them were people I knew). As for Worthy out chants I think someone said that away grounds are not the place and I agree, plus the fact there was only a few of us left after the game anyway. Would expect it to be much worse on Sunday. I''m keeping everything crossed for a win on Sunday (can''t bear it on any occasion them beating us) and I hope our new signings will gel very quickly. Not expecting great things from them straightaway as the three of them have not played much this season, but I''m sure they will be good given time. Johansson showed some good touches last night and I like the look of him.
12. My turn. The whole squad 1 out of 10 for managing to get on the team bus. The management team 0 out of 10 for turning us from a team that nearly avoided relegation from the Premier, to a mediocre Championship team in 6 months. I spent over a 100 quid on tickets, petrol, food, drink etc last night, to watch my team get totally outclassed and quite frankly it''s not good enough. I am a true supporter and have followed this club through thick and thin for over 30 years, but at the moment I am truly despondent. Something has to be done and quick. We are 10 points off the playoffs, but Palace have a game in hand and a far superior goal difference so that makes it effectively 14 points. We have no chance of making up that deficit. This season is over and all we can do is hope that the ONE new signing can gel into this team, the loanees will be gone at the end of the season, so we need to be planning for the summer now. WORTHY OUT
13. Plus with ears like that, the players might think we''ve won the FA Cup!
14. Is that a great tit or a blue tit? And what''s more important have they got a nesting box?
15. The Transfer Policy 2005-6: How It All Began. Norwich, 7 April 2005. Nigel Worthington sits in his office, writing a list of names, talking to himself. NW: We need workers, notmean. (He writes) Andy Hughes ... Jason Jarrett ... There is a knock on the door. NW: Hello? Thomas Helveg walks in. NW: Who are you? TH: I''m Thomas Helveg. You signed me from Inter Milan last summer, remember? NW: Why are you talking in that funny voice, notmean? TH: It''s my accent, I''m Scandinavian. NW: Oh ... I see. TH: I want to know why I''m not in the team. We''ve lost six games in a row, we''re leaking goals, the defence is a real mess and I''m back to full fitness. NW: There might be a gap at right-wing if Graham Stuart gets injured, notmean. TH: No - I want to play at right-back. NW: Is that your position? TH: Yes! NW: Hmm. OK - this is the sit-u-a-shun. We''ve got Man Utd at home. You and the Egyptian guy can have a game. You can''t say I haven''t given you a fair chance, notmean. TH: I should have been given more of a chance. I''ve won the Champions League, played in Serie A and- NW: Stop talking in that stupid voice! TH: I''m the captain of Denmark - put me in the team! NW: You''ve got a bad attitude, Timmy. TH: Thomas. NW: Whatever. You''re in on Saturday. Now get out of my office, and don''t go trying to pass the ball out of defence again. TH: (Leaves) Gormless t**t. NW: I heard that, you Swedish tosser! (Gets on the phone) NW: Hello, is that Roger? Yes, I don''t want any more of these "foreigners", notmean? (Listens) Oh OK, maybe some cheap full-back from Holland, but no more internashunals, notmean? (Puts the phone down) Now, where was I? Oh yes, here we are ... Mick McCarthy''s phone number ... Had to put this on here, taken from the WOTB, Ottoson Foxtrot
16. Wasn''t going to get involved with this thread, but I feel I need to have my say. The Premier season was a travesty. It was the "little old Norwich" syndrome. We were beaten before we started and that was down to Worthington! We never started playing until the 2nd half in most games at the beginning of the season, hence we didn''t win for the first 14 games. There was mismanagement of players throughout the season. (Helveg, Jonsson, Bentley, and Saffers.) Playing of favourites and being too stubborn to see it. (Holt, Flem and Eddy) Playing a full strength squad in a meaningless FA Cup tie and losing two players through injury (Helveg, Bentley) when we should have been concentrating on the league. It was only when he had totally run out of ideas, and decided to throw in Shacks, Safri and play Helveg in his right position that we made a fist of it. Then there was the great quote before the Fulham game "you''re not playing for your futures lads" so they turned up and played like it. Look at West Ham and Wigan this season, they showed no fear and are winning games.
17. Don''t Talk Too Soon...Newsnow... Coventry City - Adebola set for surprise departure? 24 Jan 2006 13:47 Coventry City’s out of favour striker Dele Adebola could be set for a shock move before the end of the month. The veteran goal getter has been a peripheral member of the Sky Blues squad, providing cover for established front men such as Gary McSheffrey. However, with Coventry’s current financial woes, they are not yet in a position to offer Cox an early release from his contract. The former Gillingham, Bolton, Millwall, Bradford, Wolves, Cardiff, and Wimbledon’s star''s current deal expires this summer, and he is keen to secure his future. Norwich manager Nigel Worthington is believed to have offered Adebola a contract beyond this summer, and two Conference clubs are thought to have shown interest
18.
No. A new guy could come in & try to change too much too soon, and we go into freefall, we won''t be relegated this season with him so why risk it?
Are you sure. Normally teams need about 50 points to stay up in this league. We currently have 39 points with 16 games to go, it could be tight. Still we might get lucky a few times, if Hucks can bounce a few more in off old Mr Thornes head!
19. The Reading game will be an indicator Paul. At Stoke and Watford, there was a rumbling of discontent, and then at Luton it got a lot more noticeable. We''ll have about 2000 at Reading and if we put in an abject display, it will become louder.
20.
Brennan, Hughes, Rossi Jarvis and Thorne all played - so not a totally inexperienced City team. I didn''t go, but to my mind this doesn''t bode well for the future to lose 5-0 at home to any team. Did anybody go to watch this shambles?
I wouldn''t call it a shambles. Tottenham had a multi million pound squad out last night, when you look at this team. Tottenham Reserves: Cerny, Kelly (McKie 45), Ifil, McKenna, Lee, Davenport, Routledge (Maghoma 75), Jackson, Barnard, Rasiak (Dawkins 59), Barcham. Routledge ran the show until he was subbed (wish we could have him on loan) The game itself was excellent, though Spurs were more than a class above us, we did try and we did indeed play some nice passing football, just being a bit lightweight. Eagle was v good, as was Rossi J. When Bally Smart came on he was excellent IN A RIGHT WING POSITION SHOCK!! Also looking good was a lad called Sub Muddel, tall, quick striker. Promising. Check out this link good report here. http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/article.asp?hlid=354113
21.
LGT you still harbour play off hopes, I urge you to abandon hope it aint gonna happen.
Too true, me and Gazza we''re looking at this after last nights reserve game and FONCY AGM (report to follow later) I reckon we need 74 points for the players, which is just a fraction over 2 points a game until the end of the season. We have yet to play Reading, Palace, Leeds, Burnley and Preston away. Can''t see us beating any of them, so will have to rely on home form and we have yet to play Watford, scum (form goes out of the window in a derby game), Sheff Utd and Wolves here. Will we get 3 points from all of those games? We are 5 points behind Preston (who have a game in hand at Plymouth!) and a minus goal difference, so that is effectively 9 points behind 6th place. Will we be able to make that up? No I don''t think so.
22.
A sound signing for me.  He is proven in this league (where, sadly,  we will be again next season) and our team plays far better when either he or safri is in the side.  He is deceptively good on the ball and rarely looses possession but is simply less visible in the effort stakes than most other players. No, he is not a world beater but is better than anything we have seen from Etuhu, Jarrett or Hughes so far this season  with only JJ looking like he will ever push him for a place in the team alongside Safri.  Our midfield fell apart when he was subbed at the preston game. Can we let a player go when he has had an impact on results when those remaining have no impact at all?
Agree with what you say ZLF to a point. He would be a useful adddition to the squad. However, I wouldn''t want to see any money for him changing hands, after all in his 9 previous moves, no one else has paid a penny for him. What''s that you say? Worthy won''t waste our money? Etuhu, Hughes Oh!   Just kidding ZLF
23.
I believe I saw said car on the same day Stephen. Were you drinking in the Fat Cat again, Meeky?
No it wasn''t me. So do you work in the Fat Cat or the Nelson. If it''s the Nelson I know Roland as his girlfriend works in the Rosary.
24. Quite a while mate. Beginning of December if I remember rightly. What sort of car was it, it could have been mine, I have 4 of them in my car. If you want one send me a personal message with your address and I''ll post it out.
