1. If they were promising me regular first team football I would, as I love playing footie. However, I would still call Norwich, just to see if they would offer me a contract. If not, Ipswich it would be. However, if I ever played against Norwich, I would never pass the ball to my team mates and make "deliberate" mistakes. I would score kick the ball into my own net and then celebrate by taking my Ipswich shirt off, with a Norwich shirt underneath, and running ar.und the pitch tearing the shirt into pieces

I''m not really a fan but whenever i ask someone it doesn''t seem to be about policy but more the fact that the tabloid media has a vendetta against him and they are simply following the trend.David Cameron is far more worthy of peoples hatred. I have never once heard him state a single policy of his own, he seems to ridicule others opinions rathan than state one of his own. Maybe that is because he is completely deluded and seperated from the general working nation. Having someone elected because they pick on someone''s failings, is not the most humble of ways to be elected. Maybe i should just give up hope and that is just where our nation seems to be heading. Before you say, I won''t be voting for Labour, but find the anti-Brown work by the media currently sickening.
Because I feel that Brown is doing even worse than Blair. I don''t think that any of the partys are doing well, but when the next election comes I just want to see Labour out
That''s not always the best option though, is it?I mean, "we" wanted Worthy out and we got Grant. We wanted Roeder out and we got Gunn.
In actual fact I never wanted Worthy out because of what he had achieved in his time at the club. Sure, I certainly wanted Grant and Roeder out, believed that Gunn could keep us up when he came in, but expected him to step down as manager back in the summer.I agree that wanting someone out isn''t always the best option, but at the moment it looks like wanting Gunn gone is a good optionI have no idea whether the government would be better or worse if a new party stepped in. Lets not forget though that we are starting to break away from topic of this poster Smile [:)]

  4. Gunn is still a legend from my point of view. I know he certainly was no great manager and didn''t make many good signings as he had no managing experience, but we must remember him for signing Grant Holt, who in my opinion is our best player at the moment. I know it''s the same person, but I don''t see how someone coming back to manage one of their former clubs and failing dreadfully can remove their legendry status as a player. So to me he''s still a legendry player.

  5. When we got relegated I don''t think Ipswich gave us any respect, so why should we give them any if we swapped leagues with them at the end of the season?I reckon that about 90% of the football fans I''ve met have been glory hunters, and you see people in China who have Man U shirts, and who probably don''t even know where abouts in England the club is based! Ok, I live in Essex and I''m not from Norfolk, but I have the full Norwich kit and support them because my dad (who also supports them) is from Norfolk, and so are my descendants!

  6. I totally agree with you  SC. Gunn had no managing experience but he did sign Grant Holt. If anyone thinks that he was a totally useless manager then you must have the same views about Holt. When I look back at Gunn''s history in football though, it does surprise me about how good Holt  is and how poor Theo is

All the talk is of who the CB pairing will be, but i''m more concerned about right back and PL''s continuing attempt to put Otsemobor in there at any cost, eventhough our supposedly cobbled together defences in his absence have proved more solid than when he is in there. I thought Jens did ok there in the cup - ok different class of opponent but he showed he could cross which is something of a hidden talent for a CB! Every time Otsy plays, we leak goals. When he doesn''t, we don''t. (ok, that may be generalising, but seems that way. someone want to check out the stats!?)
Didn''t he play in the 0-0 draw against Swindon though?
Substituted wasn''t he???
Quite right, after an hour he was. He still played though, and if we leak goals whenever he plays, why did we end up with a clean sheet? - Swindon would have scored inside the first 60mins. Personally I''m hoping that once Spillane gets back from injury he starts playing like he was before. He''s the player whos played best in that position so far this season

soon as the ball came into our third of the pitch the guy looked like a frightened rabit on a road facing a hgv .  i have never seen a keeper flap as much as him .colchester exploited it as much as they could . if a england keeper let in 7 against a team of similar status ..you have to ask yourself one question "would the keeper be given another chance ..?

it was not just his display that concerned me . it was his unbothered excuses after the game that got me . it is not one of those thing , its our worst defeat ever .he is no good. give him a free transfer so he can be a liability for someone else . to let your team down by not turning up, and the howler he had in the reserves he has had more than enough chances . we have much better keepers than him rudd will be a star for the future . a younger keeper with much more confidence and ablilty and can handle situations at this level .

australian football is not up to the standard of ours . he may be good in that leauge but thats where he should be heading back .
If McClaren was still the manager and the keeper was a big name then yes. McClaren only played big names. Capello might, but if he did it would only be in a friendlyI''m sure we can notice a big difference in the England performance between McClaren and Capello, just like we can between Gunn and Lambert

  10.
Okay the bit about Theoklitis is thoughtless (am having a bad day) but you would think Spurs would cover their investment better. Just makes you wonder about the running of some of our clubs. What else is going on behnd the scenes.

Oh and of those that have criticised also check back on your own comments on here - he who casts the first stone etc.

Penance paid - aplogies to Michael.
Quite right. I know quite well that Theo isn''t popular with any of us after his performance against Colchester, but that''s no reason to show no respect to him. Let''s not forget, if the result had been the other way round, we certainly wouldn''t have Lambert

  11.

For example should Ipswich and Norwich combine to become The East Anglian All Stars with a new ground near Telford say?
telford ?
Personally I think that if we combined with Ipswich the players would form a useless partnership. The East Anglian All Stars would also be a ridiculous name if our stadium was in Telford. It might sound a bit better if you put "Former" in it though

  12.
I know the JPT seems unimportant at the start of the season. But if we can make it to Wembley could become hugely important and a massive advantage if we we''re to end up playing a playoff final at Wembley, with some experience of the pitch.
I think that you are right mate - we have never played at the new Wembley stadium before and if we made it to the JPT final and found ourselves in the playoff final, at least we would have already been to Wembley twice and it would be quite recently too.
