1. I agree 100% with you there WW. Let''s not forget Mr Theoklitos - the Aussie keeper made his debut and only appearance on our first L1 game and we ended up in a 7-1 defeat. Ok, it was Gunn who signed him but he also signed Holt
2. I don''t think we should sign JB. He has a brilliant temper doesn''t he - I''m sure you all know what I''m referring to but if you don''t just go on YouTube and put in "Joey Barton Man City QPR" and you will see what I mean
3. We need to expand the squad until it is strong enough for the PL. We have to: Find another keeper. Now Bunn has gone we only have 2 Strengthen our defence. It hasn''t done too badly under AN, but I don''t think it''s strong enough for the PL Not too sure about our midfield, but I''ve seen a rumour about Redmond being looked at by Liverpool We need another striker, who has a good record at PL level. I think Hooper scored 7 for us last season, I don''t know anything about Jerome''s record, and Grabban has never even played in the top flight
4. I think a new stadium with bigger capacity would be a good idea, but I only want it to go ahead if we can do it without going into debt. I would leave until we''ve had a few good seasons in the PL, as then we might have even more money in the bank.
5. RvW was signed by Hughton. He has a fantastic record for Sporting Lisbon but has been a failure for us so far. However, some of his career last season was injury hit and CH was a failure manager for us. Unless someone puts in an offer I think we should keep him for 1 more season. This is because he is yet to play under AN. When you look at how we changed once Neil was in charge, I do believe that there is the possibility he could make RvW''s nickname suit him
6. My support worker (a Spurs fan) has said we will need a striker who has a good record of scoring in the Premiership. Our defence is also leaky, and I believe that is another position, Neil will look to strengthen.
7. No surprise there. I was convinced throughout the season that he would go. 16 games, 2 starts (in cup fixtures) and no goals (1 in last year''s pre-season). Did great for Leeds but useless for us. There are 2 other players who I think will go: Lafferty: Does well for his country but not for us - also got booked in just about every game he played in. 1 goal RvW: Fantastic for Sporting Lisbon. Scored on his Premiership debut for us but had a few injurys that season and yet to score any more for us. Didn''t do well on loan this season and also wants to go
8. The Wolf will go this summer - didn''t play a single game for us this season, didn''t do well out on loan and has already said he wants to leave. This was mainly due to last season''s injury problems and not getting selected much.
9. Had we failed to get promoted this season then I reckon we would lose him this summer. The reason he did go last year was because he was furious he didn''t get selected for England''s World Cup squad and wanted to stay to show Hodgson that he was good enough by helping us go straight back up. Now we''re back in the top flight I think he''s going to want to get international call ups again, and needs to be playing regularly get them. If he goes to Stamford Bridge he''ll be on higher wages but would only be a bench warmer there.
10. Thank you EIO I was desperate for an early goal when I''d read in the EDP about your record this season after scoring first and conceding first. In actual fact I always believed that you would win the playoffs before the semis even started. I wish you all the best for next season and please do the double over 1p5wich in our absence with a big score on aggregate - in our last promotion season we won 4-1 at Carrow Road and 5-1 at Portman Road. A 9-2 score on aggregate!
11. I would have the same team that beat Ipswich at Carrow Road. I also believe we must think about experience Martin and Whittaker: played full game for Scotland v England Bassong: part of Spurs team in 2010 FA cup semi Wes and Tettey: unused subs for their country Jerome: late sub for Birmingham in 2011 league cup final O''Neil: played for QPR in last year''s final (ok, I''d never start him though)
12. Many thanks. He''s been an amazing manager for his age and experience level. I''m just desperate for promotion and even more desperate that if we fail to win today, it''s ''Boro that win the final
13. I''m always very nervous about Ipswich being in the playoffs as I get worried their fans may drive us up the wall if they go up, especially as we just missed out on automatic although they only made the playoffs on GD. We''ve won the last 4 meetings and did the double over them this season, the only question is if we can do the treble or quadruple... Personally I feel it will be ''Boro who go up though (if you face them in the final would love to see you win 1-0 through a second half injury time own goal)
14. No - RVW is out on loan so AN is yet to work with him. RVW also wants St Etienne to sign him on a permanent deal. If we did manage to get promotion this season I do believe that Hooper will be a better PL striker than he was last season - I think he''s now got 10 goals from 23 appearances in all competitions, although I know some of them were under NA We certainly don''t need Becchio and I don''t think we really need RVW either
15. I felt Grabban had a good start to the season, then went off form, with Jerome being our main goalscorer. With the Grabban/Jerome, Lafferty/Jerome, and Grabban/Lafferty strike partnerships not working Hooper was tried with Jerome as soon as he recovered from injury, which has been a success. I''ve watched the highlights and I felt that Grabban had a great game yesterday and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. I have to say that I would probably start Hooper and rotate Grabban and Jerome (one starting, one warming the bench)
16. Even if Pulis was still available I can''t see he would come here - he''s a manager who would want to manage a Premiership team I can''t see how we would be able to get Lennon when he''s only just come to Bolton Phelan will probably get the job. Although he''s got no managerial experience he''s been assistant at Old Trafford and probably has a fairly good idea
17. I had full belief that Adams could do it back in August. However, that spell that saw us with 1 win in 10 games has caused me to lose faith in him and personally I''d assess him after our next 5 games: A Bournemouth H Cardiff H Brentford A Birmingham H Blackpool I would let him have a maximum of 2 defeats and a minimum of 2 wins - We should beat Blackpool and I''m expecting defeat to Bournemouth. If he goes I don''t know who to bring in though
18. Neither Bunn or Rudd have played much first team football for us and so I don''t think either of them are good enough to replace Ruddy. Bunn did take over when Ruddy got injured, but there was a clear dip in our form. We need to keep Ruddy at least to the end of the season at the moment and if another team puts a bid in for him just ask for at least £30m - I can''t see how anyone would want to pay that much for him. Ruddy may want to go next summer if we fail to win promotion this season.
19. From what I''ve heard it sounds like it was Redmond who changed it round. Personally I think he should start the next game if he''s fit.
20. I Redmond will probably start the next game as I feel he made all the difference. Was watching Final Score and at HT the commentator told Huddersfield fans not to worry as we couldn''t seem to take advantage of the sending off. Redmond came on at HT and we scored 3 goals inside the first 6 minutes of the 2nd half. I also think that Carlos Cuellar must be doing quite well - he''s started the last 2 games and we''ve won both with clean sheets
21. Ok, I would like to see us win the FA cup as we''ve never got any further than the semi-finals. I just don''t want to see us go on a good cup run that ends with defeat in the quarter-finals and several important players out with long-term injuries
22. Look everyone I''m very sorry for what I''ve posted in this thread tonight, and please forgive me for irritating you all. If we had a much larger squad (like Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd etc) I wouldn''t mind a good cup run, it''s just I have to admit I''m scared it could cause a problem for us in the league. If we go on a good cup run and do well in the league then I''m wrong in what I''ve said Big Apologies HJ
23.

Well the last time we won the cup we got relegated didn''t we?
And the last time we didn''t win the cup we got relegated, didn''t we?
Yes we did, but I do believe the management was partially to blame - I guess we would have stayed up if we''d won it
24.

there is always someone every season who says they want to lose to preserve our league form
Agreed. And what good has not having any sort of cup run for the last 10+ years done us - absolutely none.Go for it.
2002 - Playoff final 2004 - Championship Title 2010 - League 1 Title 2011 - Championship Runners-up
25. Well the last time we won the cup we got relegated didn''t we?
