In my opinion we need to start leaving Grabban out of the matchday squad against Bournemouth. This is his first season in the top flight, but Hooper and Jerome have PL experience. I don''t think that he wants to play for us anymore as it seems like he wants to go back to Bournemouth and so if he plays against them he might score a hat trick of own goals. He was decent last season but I never want to see him play for us again -
Agree with you there UB. You can never tell how well a team is going to do at the start of the season so we need wait for the winless run to come. I still have belief we can survive at the moment as it''s too early to tell. At the moment the gap between 1st and 20th is only 11pts -
We''ve still got 34 more games to play, so it''s a whole case of wait and see. I know we have a weak defence and should have signed another defender this summer. Ollson is back soon which would let Brady play in his preferred position. If Mbokani or Jerome turns out to be the next Dean Ashton then I think we will survive. Lets not forget we played well in our first 3 games despite only winning 1. We were poor against Soton but I think we have to give Mr Whittaker the honours for that -
I agree with you Samwam. Personally I think that RvW is better than both Grabban and Lafferty as he has more PL experience and a far better attitude -
I think the ref had a decent game today. Yes the first goal should have been disallowed for offside but it was very close and difficult to tell without replaying the incident. Personally I feel that it was mainly Whittaker rather than the whole team to blame for the defeat. In my opinion the ref got both of the decisions spot on. I felt some refs might have sent him off at the first offence, as he appeared to fight the Southampton player for the throw in -
I have felt that Whittaker is a decent player and has been over criticised. However, today his performance was appalling and he was all to blame for the defeat. I think that Whittaker could now lose his first team spot to Wisdom -
AN said the way players earn their places in the team was by good attitude. The last time RvW played for us was against Man Utd, and he''s clearly been trying his best to get back into the first team squad ever since. Grabban''s reaction to being left out of the starting lineup when he has frequently been playing for the first team ever since he joined is not acceptable. RvW also has a little bit of premier league experience, which Grabban has none of -
I''m also hoping that RvW starts tomorrow night. In my opinion the league is far more important to us than the cup, and so I want AN to rest some of our first choice players ready for Sunday and give some of our second choice players a go -
We are still unbeaten away under Alex Neil and I do believe that we can get quite a few more. However, I think that we need to wait until some more games have been played and we can see how teams are likely to do. I mean Leicester are top of the table at the moment, but do you really think they''ll make the Champions League? Arsenal are in the drop zone, but do you really think they''ll finish in the bottom half? -
I also have big belief in Alex Neil - if we signed him last summer I reckon we probably would have got automatic promotion, just like if we signed Dean Ashton at the start of the 04-05 season we would have stayed up and not experienced a 6-0 defeat at Craven Cottage -
Of all the teams that have won promotion via the playoffs, over half of them have come straight back down. Danny Murphy has said that we are the most equipped to stay up though, as we have a lot of PL experience in our squad.Several of my friends have also said that they reckon of the 3 promoted teams, we are the most likely to survive. I think we should stay up, as I feel our players have good experienceLet''s not forget that the season hasn''t even started yet, and hopefully we can prove Collymore wrong -
It would be stupid for Redmond to go to Liverpool as he defiantly won''t play much and so if they won a trophy he wouldn''t get a medal. If he stays with us he also won''t get a medal (as I can''t see us winning any trophies) but I do believe he will play regularly which could earn him an international call up to the England first team, as he''s been doing really well for the U21s -
-
I do hope that AN does give RvW a try. Yes he was rubbish this season, but it was Adams who was the manager and had no experience. Personally I reckon that he will play next season though but I do wonder how Grabban will do next season as he has no Premiership experience -
I''m aware that the kit was designed like this in memory of the kit that was worn 80 years ago when Carrow Road first opened, but I don''t like it. It isn''t half and half either, as the logo is in a yellow box which takes over some of the green. It''s the yellow box that ruins it most of all -
It''s a brilliant video. I found it in the Norwich City Fan Club on FB yesterday and have now shared it with my friends, one of which is a Town fan -
I agree 100% with you there WW. Let''s not forget Mr Theoklitos - the Aussie keeper made his debut and only appearance on our first L1 game and we ended up in a 7-1 defeat. Ok, it was Gunn who signed him but he also signed Holt -
I don''t think we should sign JB. He has a brilliant temper doesn''t he - I''m sure you all know what I''m referring to but if you don''t just go on YouTube and put in "Joey Barton Man City QPR" and you will see what I mean -
We need to expand the squad until it is strong enough for the PL. We have to:Find another keeper. Now Bunn has gone we only have 2Strengthen our defence. It hasn''t done too badly under AN, but I don''t think it''s strong enough for the PLNot too sure about our midfield, but I''ve seen a rumour about Redmond being looked at by Liverpool We need another striker, who has a good record at PL level. I think Hooper scored 7 for us last season, I don''t know anything about Jerome''s record, and Grabban has never even played in the top flight -
I think a new stadium with bigger capacity would be a good idea, but I only want it to go ahead if we can do it without going into debt. I would leave until we''ve had a few good seasons in the PL, as then we might have even more money in the bank. -
RvW was signed by Hughton. He has a fantastic record for Sporting Lisbon but has been a failure for us so far. However, some of his career last season was injury hit and CH was a failure manager for us. Unless someone puts in an offer I think we should keep him for 1 more season. This is because he is yet to play under AN. When you look at how we changed once Neil was in charge, I do believe that there is the possibility he could make RvW''s nickname suit him -
My support worker (a Spurs fan) has said we will need a striker who has a good record of scoring in the Premiership. Our defence is also leaky, and I believe that is another position, Neil will look to strengthen. -
No surprise there. I was convinced throughout the season that he would go. 16 games, 2 starts (in cup fixtures) and no goals (1 in last year''s pre-season). Did great for Leeds but useless for us. There are 2 other players who I think will go:Lafferty: Does well for his country but not for us - also got booked in just about every game he played in. 1 goalRvW: Fantastic for Sporting Lisbon. Scored on his Premiership debut for us but had a few injurys that season and yet to score any more for us. Didn''t do well on loan this season and also wants to go -
The Wolf will go this summer - didn''t play a single game for us this season, didn''t do well out on loan and has already said he wants to leave. This was mainly due to last season''s injury problems and not getting selected much.
Marttin to RB for Bournemouth?
