  1. I reckon the Murphys should stay with us for the time being as I don''t think they will get much game time at a bigger club. I also think we should try and keep them as it''s been quite a long time since we''ve had any youth team products as good as these two
  2. I reckon that AN will make a lot of changes to the team that played yesterday. He has already said that Oliveira will make his debut, I reckon McGovern won''t make the squad at all, Pinto won''t start, Bassong will start, as surely our objective this season is to go straight back up, not a good cup run. To achieve this we need to save our best players for the league. Personally I can''t see us winning whatever the team is, as Everton are doing very well at the moment.
  3. Personally I don''t think Alex Neil has a penalty taker. Everyone thought Wes was the taker when Lambert was here but Lambert said that he didn''t have one, he just wanted someone to choose to do it and get the job over and done with. Then Holt said that when he arrived he made a deal with Wes over penalties, that he would let Wes still take them until Wes had missed 2 If anyone thinks that our squad needs some training on spot-kicks, I think Neil Adams would be the ideal man to coach them. Anyone who remembers his playing career with us should know that he was known as the "penalty king" as he was the penalty taker and was brilliant with them. It also says on the ex-canaries website that in the 96/97 season he scored 9 spot-kicks, and on Wikipedia that in the whole of his career only missed from the spot once.
  4. Yes these the last 2 games have been very disappointing as although we have had a spell when we''ve played well in them, we have made silly second half mistakes and have been lucky to take all 3 points. You are free to boo the team if you want to, but please bear in mind that might increase the chances of no home wins, so I would never boo the team
  5. Can never see Pulis moving from the Premiership to the Championship. He''s also too defensive for me - when we went into League 1, weren''t we too defensive? So I think when Gunn went, Lambert was told he had to be more attacking Personally I still trust Alex Neil but if he does go I would like to see Lambert and Culverhouse back, though I doubt they would
  6. I read last season that Naismith has a relegation release clause in his contract. I believe that it means that if a club bids the same amount we paid for him, we have to allow them to have talks with Naismith in case he would rather play PL football. It is vital that he stays though as I think he would be a key player for us this season as actually an experienced PL player Here''s a list of my beliefs of why he would stay and why he would go Stay: - He said he would stay when we first went down and seems to be happy to be playing at Championship level - I reckon he knows he''s got a very good chance of having a great season if he stays with us - Sunderland only just survived last season, so he might see going as a possible risk of getting back to back relegations - He joined us as he wanted regular first team football which he''s getting, although I reckon he''d still get that at Sunderland Go: -As I said he''s an experienced PL player, and Sunderland are a PL team -Moyes was the manager when Everton signed him from Rangers. Moyes is now the Sunderland manager, so if he moved there would be someone he already knows there -Although Sunderland only just survived last season I believe that the newly promoted teams of Hull, Burnley and Boro will all struggle this season so he might think that if he went to Sunderland the chances of survival would be greater than relegation If he does choose to stay with us I reckon he will hand in transfer request at the end of the season if we don''t go straight back up
  7. What I''m saying there is that if Sunderland take Naismith from us I want them to give us £15/20 million and Defoe in return
  8. Naismith seems to be happy to stay with us despite the fact that he is now playing at Championship level. As a result of that, I think that it''s vital that we keep him as he''s actually an experienced PL player and so I think he could be a key player for us this season, just like Klose I would only let Sunderland have him for £15/20 million + Jermain Defoe
  9. I think that next season we need to give RvW a try in the Championship. So far he has only played once for AN, a League Cup game v Rotherham and scored in it. He couldn''t cut it in the Premiership although his season was injury hit, but I do have strong beliefs that he could do well for us in the Championship
  10. Newcastle are yet to win under Benitez whilst we''ve kept clean sheets in our last 2 games, 1 being against a top 4 team and the other being an away win. Newcastle are also have the worst away goal record this season - 7 scored from their 15 games. I think we will win but I have to say that I''m bloody nervous about us and the next 3 games because of the importance of them
  11. This could turn out to be a boost for us but we mustn''t get carried away by it as we will have to wait and see. Although Darlow has made only 2 appearances for Newcastle, with his only PL game a 1-0 defeat to West Brom, he has played over 100 games for Notts Forest
  12. Perfect result! Many thanks Mitrovic for finding a late equaliser, Newcastle and Sunderland for not conceding any more goals, and credit to Colback for getting suspended for our game :-)
  13. I think it''s 50:50 at the moment. Villa are definates for the drop in my opinion but I think there''s too many games left to decide on us. Yes the teams around us have signed new players but I think Naismith could be the key for us. I''m just hoping we don''t have a repeat of the same case with Naismith as there was with Ashton in 2005 (it was believed that had we signed Ashton in the summer we would of stayed up) I think you need to wait for at least 4 more games before you can start predicting how we will finish
  14. A good penalty isn''t one that goes in, it''s one where the keeper doesn''t stand a chance of saving it. I saw it on MOTD last night and ok, it did go in but it only just missed the keeper
  15. 3-1 Bournemouth with Grabban getting one of the goals. Hopefully we will win as 3 points is vital for both sides in this fixture
  16. Personally I think £8m is a rip off for Grabban, and so I''m amazed that we managed to sell him for that price. Although he''s been no good for us this season, when players move to other clubs their performance can change, and so I''m just hoping he doesn''t turn out better for Bournemouth
  17. Olive-ier Giroud Theo Walnut Paul Lamb-ert Ian Butter-worth Harry Kane (sugar) Patrick Burger Ryan Figgs Gary Dough-erty
  18. Cody MAC-Donald-s Mark Bunn Mark Batten-burg-re David Becks-Ham Naan-i Tetley Sherry-Ham
  19. B-Russel Martin Wine Rooney Romero Leek-Kaku Alex Tea-ttey Steve Morrison-s Joleon Tesco-ty Chris Mutton Mike Walker-s Neil Ad-nams Rolo Toure
  20. The league is by far more important to us than the cup at the moment. What would you prefer - a Norwich team that survives every cup round or the Premiership? We need to be fully focused on the league, as do all the teams around us. If the team manages to get back to the strength of the squad of the early 90''s, then that''s when we should do better. In my opinion there was nothing embarrassing about this result
  21. Glad we''ve signed him. He was doing great for us at the start of the season, but has been out due to injury. Should be back soon though
  22. I''d be stunned if Villa managed to survive this season but as has been said a lot in this thread, look at Leicester. You can''t write a team off until it''s mathematically impossible and I still think it''s too early to make predictions - we''re not even halfway through the season yet. Personally I''d wait and see what they do in the transfer window and how they''re doing in February
  23. It would be great to start keeping clean sheets but at the end of the game it''s getting the points that matters more than keeping a clean sheet in my opinion
  24. Spot on there Fuzzar. We may not be doing very well at the moment but it''s still too early to make predictions as we''ve still got over half the season left to play. We''ve just got to hope that we make some good signings in January
  25. If he''s recovered from the injury I hope we sign him. Yes he''s getting old and is from Aston Villa, but the reason he''s a free agent isn''t because he wasn''t offered a new contract, it''s because he rejected the new contract he was offered. He also sounds like a decent captain, as he led Villa to the FA Cup final last season Personally I hope we sign him if he''s injury free, as we desperately need to invest in defenders and we would only be spending money on his contract, as he''s a free agent
