1.

I may be wrong in my judgement in him but he couldn''t get into our side last year so how he is going to get into yours i have no idea.
Was he getting into Lamberts'' first 11 when he was at Colchester ?  Just wondering if he sees something that Boothroyd didn''t ?
He played against you lot in the first game and against Yeovil the week after but that was the only two games that Lambert was there for as we signed Fox that summer. But then again it doesn''t matter who is in midfield for Boothroyd as they never see the ball as its always 30 feet above their heads....
 2. This does come as a suprise, firstly i didn''t think we would be doing bussiness with you guys and secondly i personaly don''t think Fox is good enough for the Championship. I may be wrong in my judgement in him but he couldn''t get into our side last year so how he is going to get into yours i have no idea. We signed him on a free from Blackpool last summer because he wasn''t gettin into their side in the championship so he has been a member of a squad at that level.

what gets me is that Lambert handed in his notice anyway . if someone offered me a job better than the one i had , i would take it . who wouldn''t..? i don''t think we have heard the last of him to be honest , cowbells is not the type of person to move on
He was contracted to us so he couldn''t just walk out and join another team 12 hours later.
I think most people should realise by now that contracts in football mean very little. If a player doesn''t want to play for you or a Manager no longer wants to manage for you, it is basically the end of the story. Fabregas signed a new, improved contract for 5 years last season. Hands up all those who think he will still be at Arsenal in 2014.
In actual fact contracts mean alot in football as they stop players and managers walking from one club to another whenever they feel like it,if Fabregas didn''t have one he could just walk out of Arsenal and go straight to Barcelona without a fee. Yes he will get what he wants in the end but Arsenal will get a decent fee because he is contracted to them at the present. Try to imagine what football would be like without contracts and players and managers had the freedom of changing clubs like we can change jobs,it would be mayhem. At the end of the day Norwich and Lambert done wrong as has been proved by the football league but it is nothing major,it has happened before and no doubt it will happen again....
Do you think that Mr Cowling should just leave it and move on?
Yes he should. To be honest we have got more money than most of us thought we would get so we should be happy with what we got and use the money to strengthen the squad. This talk of wanting a million for Lambert is ridiculous and points being deducted would never have happened....

 6.
Cowling is like a small child that''s had its lollipop taken away by a nasty grown up! Now its crying, screaming, and throwing a tantrum, "I hate you, I hate you!", adding "I''m going to tell on you!!", when will the "na na na na naaaaa!" follow? You do think he might have made the same effort to keep hold of Bothroyd-he let him go without a fight, yet is still lamenting for his predecessor! Its almost as if he let Bothroyd go to Coventry so easily and smoothly -and made such a big deal about how well CCFC "conducted themselves" in the process-just to try and rub our noses in it a little more, therefore using Bothroyd as a pawn in his little anti-Norwich game! He won''t get a points deduction. Every other case in the future would see, if that happened, us demand that the same sanctions apply to clubs who break the same rule (and we admitted to it, FFS!) in future-does Cowling think that clubs are never going to approach managers in work again? It happens with players, people see transfers as part and parcel of the game, and yes, of course they are tapped up, of course they leave whilst under contract, thats what transfer fees are for, and we''ve just paid a transfer fee for Lambert! No wonder they appointed Ward from within, he and CUFC couldn''t possibly be seen, with all this going on, to even think about approaching a Manager currently in work somewhere else! "...you start next season on -10 points" -nice one!
I think we let Aidy go to Coventry without a fight because i''m not sure if Cowling thought he was the right man for the job after the way we played towards the end of the season,we slipped out the play offs because Aidy only had one style of play and when teams found out how to play against it he just didn''t know what to do. The reason Cowling was so upset about what happened with Lambert was because of the timing of when he walked out,he put alot of his own money into building a squad that Lambert wanted only for him to leave after two games so i can understand why he is so p**sed off even if i think some of his comments the last 10 months have gone a bit too far. As for Ward i know alot of Colchester fans are not happy but to be honest we are still only a small club in this league and appointing someone from within is the best option,if we had gone for a big name we would probably be looking again next summer for a new manager. Hopefully both clubs can just accept the punishment given and concentrate on what will be an important season for both of us as i''m sure thats what all us fans want....
 7.
You got 25k more than I thought you would.
£225,000 more than i thought....
 8. So we got £500,000 more than most of you thought we would get....
 9. Didn''t someone on here offer us some grass seed as compensation? Now Hoofroyd has gone we will take it as we might now actually see the ball on the ground and not in the clouds....
 10.
Adrian Coote is looking for a route back into football, certainly isn''t one as a player so why not manager?
Last i heard he was an estate agent in Colchester but that was ages ago....
 11.
What about Mark Kinsella or Roy McDonough???
Kinsella could be worth a go or even Kevin Watson.
 12.
Cufcone I take it your not happy about the prospect of Jim Magilton as your new manager any particular reason why and who would your choice be?
For a start he is an ex scummer from up the road and apparantly the way he treats players is not great. I would personaly like us to give an ex Col U player the job,Paul Buckle would be my first choice
 13.

Note to Norwich, this is how you appoint a manager, Aidy is now speaking to them AFTER compensation has been agreed. We''ll get compensation for Lambert''s replacement before Lambert himself FFS!
Are you sure you have understood this situation correctly? Isn''t it more likely that Colchester will be providing compensation to Coventry for taking Boothroyd off their hands. I see the article you refer to saying compensation has been agreed but it doesn''t actually say who''s paying who, does it? Does Colchester have any other managers they are horse-trading for? Perhaps Ian Dowie is a possibility. He doesn''t achieve much on the pitch but apparently he scares the criminal element when he walks around town. It does seem that most of your trading activity is now for managers rather than players. Personally, I think Englands centuries past capital deserves better.
I think alot of Colchester fans would pay for Coventry to take him off our hands,we was warned by Watford fans about Aidys style of play and his lack of tactical knowledge. We did start well with his hoofball but when teams got used to it he just didn''t have a plan B hence why we had such a sh*t end to our season. I personally think the way we played the last couple of months is the worst i have seen Colchester ever play and beleive me i have seen some sh*t before.
 14.
Lets get one thing cleared up. The reason I havent posted for ages is because I was banned ages ago. well ok Im the first to admit I was wrong to make the thread about u getting 2nd spot at the very best'' you got promotion, you are the champions and congrats for that. However now we have acheived the same as you and done so with over 60 games played, beaten Man utd in the process and made a shed loads of cash on the cup runs. We gambled also on Beckford,if he still goes this summer then the gamble has been paid off getting us the winner. The sweet thing is we were down to 10 men, with a goal down and still won. To me you couldnt write the script and our attention for that has been bigger than you lifting the trophy. Like your manager, grayson has done well even if we had to rely on others messing up but thats their fault not ours. Enjoy your season.no doubt i will be banned again but im not too bothered. Ive had my banter with you in league one and the rest will be pointless. Im just going to enjoy what bigger signings will be coming our way with the cash we have made from cup runs and delph to hopefully challenge again as Leicester and forest have done.
Sorry Spainboy or whatever your name is but you can''t say you have acheived the same as Norwich. At the end of the day the table doesn''t lie and Norwich have been by far the best team in this league this season. After the start they had, getting stuffed on the first day then changing manager two games into the season to win the league comfortably like they have is by far more of an acheivement than what you lot have done. As for the attention you lot get that is down to the fact that you are the so called fallen giant of the league and to be honest i''m glad like most fans in league one that you have now finally got promotion (took you three seasons i beleive and only took Norwich one) as we are all fed up of hearing how you are too big to be playing in this league.
 15. I did say after the first game of the season that Lambert would be getting a team promoted this season....
 16. Congratulations on promotion, you guys definitely deserve it and have been by far the best team in this league this season... Good luck next season in the Championship
 17.
A deal HAS been done, but its also linked to us going up, announcement at the end of season. Trust me.
That is what i have heard this end so perhaps the mighty Wiz is RIGHT for once....
 18.
Still think you got the better end of the deal with us getting Lambert and you having Aidy?? :P Only joking mate, how come you guys have fallen away a bit recently??
Just playing cr*p. Too many players off form and we don''t seem to have a plan B to Aidys hoofball.
 19.
Leeds v Colchester I reckon (and sort of hoping for as the GF is a Leeds fan and I would want them to fuck over Colchester)
I doubt it mate,we won''t even make the play offs. We have got to play Millwall,Swindon and Udders in the next month and we can''t even beat Wycombe at the moment. With the form we are in Udders will beat us and take 6th spot in the play offs...
 20. Well done on todays result, certainly looks like you will be going up now and i think Leeds will miss out and Millwall will take 2nd place.
 21. I just find the whole situation with lower league clubs financial difficulties totaly unfair when you get players like John Terry being paid £150,000 a week. We are starting to get to the point where teams that have been about for generations are in danger of going out of business because they owe a sum which adds upto a few weeks wages for these overpaid toss*rs in the premier league.
 22.
Coming from a Col U fan...
It is true. My brothers best mates sisters boyfriends cousin saw Delia in Asda and asked her....
 23.
This is my guess, Colcester asking for about 1 million and we are offering about £100,000. I get the feeling we were miles apart on the figure, from what they were saying to the press. So the big question now is who''s backed down and asked for another meeting ?
Norwich asked for the meeting......
 24.
Well you have breached rule 58.4 set by the Football League, ''you have to have a blade of grass on the playing surface''.
We don''t need grass as the ball is always in the air remember
