1.

Good lord man! That''s an amazing dream! I would be more than honoured to help you fulfil your aspiration of having a proper lake full of Pineapple juice. Do you think LDC could drain a lake full of boring old mundane water and then we don''t have to start from scratch?
Well thank you. It means a lot. It really does.I hadn''t thought of contacting LDC, fantastic idea. I''m sure he has the contacts to make it happen.Come on LDC, lets be ''avin you!
Can''t stand the stuff myself, but I''ll put it to the Lake District Planning Dept tomorrow.  They are very efficient and you should receive an answer in 5 years, or more. [:(].
 2. Has the ability to play good passes and score himself - but still think he has a way to go - he''s not  the finished article yet.  Has to improve his passing and shooting and decision making.
 3. Swansea has to be a no change team, surely??  League is the most important thing this season. Rest a few for the Villa match - give some of the others a chance - Holt and co can come on from subs bench if needed - like the Spurs match. Then full strength for Wigan.  Has to be.
 4.
I feel that Surman is a gifted footballer but doesn''t fit into our team at present. The question I must ask is why he was given a four year contract at the beginning of the season.
Because he is a good player.  Hughton gave him a chance to cement a place in the team - but after the Liverpool match  he can''t get a look in because of the way the team has developed.   Does this make him a player on the way out or a player waiting his chance to have another go?    We have a squad of 25 (?)  and that means we have to have players in waiting.   As far as that goes he is waiting.    People are still too quick to write off our players.    Some people don''t like him because of the way he looks.   I ask you...............................
 5. As much chance of this happening as Mungo ever becoming a proper supporter.
 6. Oh good, another opportunity for the brain dead  un-supporters  to have another go at one of our players...............................
 7.
Do you think we will ever command a fee of £10m + for one of our players. I feel Ruddy,Pilkington,Tettey and Bassong could all realistically cost that in a couple of seasons if they kept up this form. Just wondered what others thought about it.
Peronally, I hope if we have players that are worth £10m, we are able to keep them - thus demonstrating that the club is in a bouyant situation with finances and that the footballers themselves won''t want to leave because Norwich are doing so well.
 8. The point is - from my point of view anyway - is that the same players that are on the pitch could be doing better.    The potential is frightening because if we do improve that final ball in then we are going to score more goals - and not concede many.      I thought it was going to happen on Sunday when we were doing so well in the first half.   I''ll say it again.  The team that are on the pitch are not yet reaching their full potential.     They can improve.      We do not have to make changes - although I wouldn''t complain if we did - after all Bennett and Bunn have come in and done well.    Its simple.   At the attacking end of the field we are getting good positions but not capitalising on them enough.   That first half was better against Sunderland - it had glimpses of what I mean - but there is room for improvement.   The second half showed how we can still learn.   Hughton''s team is still a work in progress - they''re doing great - but personally I''m looking forward to seeing our forward play improving during the rest of the season.  It will happen because we have the players out there that can do it.    Its very exciting because the potential to do what WBA are doing now is here at Norwich.   Its a case of, yes, we''re doing great - but the possibilities for doing even better are there - and without necessarily changing the team that much.
 9.
I understand what you are saying LDC, however... It is too simplistic to divide up the team''s performances into ''attack'' and ''defence'' and then blame the forward players for not scoring. We attack and defend as a team and we have sacrificed some of our attacking potency in order to shore up the defence and IMHO that is why we don''t look quite as fluent - it''s easy to blame Wes and Holty but I think both of them have been playing really well during this run. To improve our attacking play we could play the diamond with two up front, we could bomb forward the full backs, we could drop bradley for fox or howson but why would we want to do that when we are getting brilliant results week in week out?
I have not blamed anyone one for anything in our recent run.   I personally think Holt has been excellent - his contribution to the team has always been more than just goal scoring.     Just because we are doing well does not mean we can''t criticise things.   For goodness sake,  we are not the finished article. The formation and way of playing is set - but the skill for the manager is now that everyone knows how we are going to play - how do we improve the attack.   If this means changing a player here and there - so what?   Whats the point in having a squad?    Bennett and Bunn have come in and done well.   If there is an injury and someone else comes in - I would expect that they would fit in well too.
 10.
Yes LDC, Ruddy was not a popular guy early in his NCFC career... Even early last season some weren''t keen on him. I''m not saying he was bad, but there was a significant number of fans questioning his consistency for a while.
I remember, gp, but it was like people were fretting because he wasn''t Fraser Forster - it had precious little to do with his goalkeeping - which was always strong - room for improvement of course - but never deserving the criticism he got...................like a lot of other players.........
 11. I''m with GP on this.   Why should discussing the team be construed as negative?    We have a squad.  The squad members that have come in have continued the good work - so I think would most that would come into to the team if given the chance.    No one I have seen is disappointed with our results and recent success.    Most of us would recognise that there are elements where our game can improve.   Its not rocket science - we are defending well as a team and are hard to beat - and doing enough to win matches.  The front end of the team could be gelling better and that is the area that is surely open for discussion. Are people so insecure that they need to see exactly the same team every week?   There is no need to change it, but if  Hughton did want to change it a little - would people throw their hands up in horror?    Do people not see  the mistakes made and areas where we could improve still further?   The only thing negative about the club at this moment is the title of this  thread.
 12.
Ruddy struggles with long range efforts, he might have saved that but then again it may well have still been a goal, in the end it didn''t matter thankfully! Bunn is going to need a while to grow into the position after so long being a no.2. Lets not forget Ruddy was pretty poor in his first few games for us so lets not write Bunn off yet.
????????  Seriously??   Really??
 13. Everyone is happy with the results nru.     But.............its obvious that we are not playing as well as we could.    We are still winning/drawing  but we know that some of the play in the final third can improve.   That is a POSITIVE.
 14.
Well...Holt is maybe in the team on merit, but to say he was "immense" is rather inaccurate. He did a job, not very good in mye eyes, as in the last 5-6 games. To be fair, I dont think Holthas had a game this season where I can say he has been playing well (as we all know he can). Holt has become very immobile this season compated to last, and I dont think this is down to tactics. It is down to fitness. Look at the amount of defending from the front done by Hoolahan compared to Holt, while Holt is just standing and looking on. Appaling. Holts fitness must improve, and he has had enough chances now. Let him start on the bench for a few games, and come in after 60 for Morison. Also, Bennett is due a run for Snodgrass, me thinks.
I''m sorry, apart from the last sentence this is utter tosh.    I wasn''t at the game but it was obvious even down a grainy stream that Holt was one of the hardest working and mobile players out there and a constant nuisance to the opposition.   He was everywhere today - attacking, covering, defending.  Great performance.
 15.
We didn''t sit back and defend, Sunderland just got better... Not sure about resting Holt and Hoolahan next week, as we have a cup game a few days later. Might as well rest them then. One of those two games someone else needs a go. I''ve said a few times now, best thing about our run of form is there are obvious things to improve on. Obviously we can never be perfect, but I don''t think its too unrealistic to say we can improve further in the final third...
You''re spot on with that post GP.    The progress is there for all to see.   But that improvements can be made are there for all to see too.
 16. Those Holt bashing should look at the whole game.   Why did so many managers pick Heskey in their teams - because they recognised his value to the team - not just for goals.   At the moment that is Holt.    Kevin Davies was not prolific at the top level, but was first on the team sheet.   That is Holt. We know Holt can score - will score - you don''t just lose the ability - the service has to be better imo.
 17.
Who are The Stylistics?
They''re John Ruddy''s  hairdressers.............
 18. Choices-1. Go to the Stylistics and keep the good lady happy, the brownie points thus gained will give him better chances in the future when there are clashes. Or 2. Go to the match, feel guilty, not enjoy it - even if we win, feel miserable on the way home because you let the wife down,  feel worse when you get home, spend the next two weeks trying to make up for it, have to spend more money finding another concert/outing to go on,  lack of  the proverbial conjugals ......etc. etc.  I know which I would choose - but then I''m just a plastic, cardboard cut out,  northern exiled, don''t go to enough matches kind of guy so what would I know..........[:S]
 19.

In the premiership we always look down, not up.   Why do we want Liverpool to win when they are above us in the table?  If liverpool lose and we win we go above them  in the table.      The best results imo for everybody else''s games is draws.   It means if we win we get three points and everyone else only gets one.    Its a recipe for going up the table.    I know its important to stay in the division, but if we could sometimes look up as well as down, we will see that Liverpool are a team we should want to lose so we an go above them if we pick up points against Sunderland.     Also, Newcastle are just below us so why would we want them to win?   There is no harm in looking up sometimes - but as I say, imo, draws all round on balance are the best results for all the other games.
You can look up all you like but we are not realistically going to finish in front of Liverpool. Whereas any points unexpectedly gained by Southampton could be a direct threat to our Premier survival. A Southampton defeat is the ONLY result we should be hoping for.
It is difficult to say what is realistic.   To me it means looking at where we are now.   Liverpool just above us Newcastle just below us.   We don''t know if Liverpool are going to shoot up the table, but if we win and they lose we go above them. That''s going up the table.  Week by week that is what I want to see.      There will always be teams doing better than us and always teams doing worse than us.    If we  maintain our form and even improve by adding afew goals occasionally we will be moving up the table - and challenging the teams above us for places.  That is what football is about.    As I said draws all round is the best for us - gives us the best opportunity to go up the table.

 21.
* the word that was censored begins with w but means masturbation.
You mean w@nk?    (I bet that didn''t work.......)
 22. No one is irreplaceable.   If you start thinking like that and the player gets injured - what do you do then?  Panic?    One man''s injury is another man''s opportunity and we have enough experience in the squad to cover for any injuries.    No one wants any of the players to get injured but there''s no point worrying if one does get injured.   Ruddy''s out - and we have a suitable back up.  You can apply that thinking across the squad.
 23. If you went to the match - good on you - I was stuck up here in the frozen north looking at a grainy picture on the laptop.   Its always more of an occasion if you go to the match.   I have to admit that sitting watching the match at home it did appear that we are playing consistently well in defence and look solid at the back - but still don''t look potent in the final third - with poor deliveries and giving the ball away too easily.   Not a negative view, just realistic.     The euphoria of an unbeaten run and a good away point is all well and good,  but the emotion of being there gives you a different perspective.   I was at Newcastle and there was a lot of negative stuff on here that was uncalled for - imo - and I responded to it - as I usually do.     My thread last night was not meant to be negative - it was more a case of saying how things are and where we can improve.      It almost goes without saying that all fans should be delighted at the progress made, but there are always some who will see the negatives.     From my point of view - often forced to look from afar - the positives are there for everyone to see.   We''re not playing that well up front, but still getting results - that is the positive.  That means there is plenty in the team to come - an improvement in the forward play.   We know they have it in them.   Someone said if we get the attack as good as the defence we would be top three - well, I agree.    With the players we have there is no reason imo why we can''t emulate what WBA are doing this season.   The progress we have made in defence is a stepping stone to that, I believe.    If we do start improving in the final third  and keep the defence working well ( I see no reason why we shouldn''t) - then watch the canaries fly!
 24. Points are points, but there is still a lot to improve.   No harm in saying it.   Its the truth.
 25.
We build our new squad / style from the back. CH saw the back as the biggest priority. He''s got it sorted, the rest will come with hard work and time.Have faith my good man. He knows what he''s doing
I agree, but it ain''t half frustrating to watch the good work done defending being wasted by poor deliveries at the other end.
