1. Was the whistle blown prior to the Barnsley goal? Norwich players looked statuesque from the Barclay End!
2. Nana, I''ve got a ''Safari'' button, but no ''Safri'' button - are you thinking of our ex-player Youssef? Perhaps a City player will hit a spectacular 40-yarder each time I click it?
3. Are you also referring to Tune in Radio Nana? What''s Wunder Radio like in comparison to Tune in Radio?
4. Just got an iPhone - which app is best for picking up BBC Radio Norfolk please?
5. Shittu is likely to go Celtic. ''Och aye the noo Shittu!''...
6. I have a pair of Joe Hart''s boots in a bag right here under my desk - each one personally signed by him. White Umbro''s, size 10. Very smart they are too...
7. What a mixture of comments! Some say Barnett didn''t miss a ball - others say that he missed several. Some say he looks solid - others say he looked nervous. Further proof that we all ''see what we want to see'' - and filter out anything else that is inconsistent with our beliefs. It''s a funny old game!...
8. Gobsmacked - yet another pop at an excellent City player! Askou''s distribution is NOT dire; compared to Nelson (who has done a decent job so far) he is without doubt cultured. Askou''s aerial strength is there for all to see - the Doc certainly admired JBA’s technique; he gets direction and massive distance most times. I see this new loan player Barnett was bought by WBA for £2.5m – huge money and he doesn’t even play every week - personally I would take Askou every time and save the club’s cash! Perhaps we should all come and assess your work performance NCFC Star? Get JBA at the front of the queue and see what he makes of you when you’re attempting to do your best!…
9. El Kabir looks pretty hot! Bet he''d like to play in front of passionate fans instead of empty seats...
10.
I thought it was interesting that we used their refusal to hoof it forward to our advantage by marking all their team when the keeper had the ball forcing them to just pass it around in non dangerous areas and then often kicking it out for a throw in go us. Secondly I think there was an element of conserving energy during certain periods of the game due to the intense heat which allowed us to play til the end.
I said the same thing during the match; weather-wise it was muggy and potentially energy-sapping against Swansea. Retaining sufficient physical ''oomph'' was important in order to master the last 10 minutes. Combined with some excellent tactical substitutions, it was mission accomplished to secure two late goals. If our stats away from home regularly showed 60% possession whilst losing 2-0 would we be content? Hardly! 40% possession and 3 league points sounds a far better return on energy to me.
11. I agree with the OP here. It''s all a bit lame; people who constantly tell us who in their opinion is the latest Canaries ''weakest link''...zzzzz! How many of these people are actively involved in pro football or at the very least coach local football I wonder? Probably very few. Yesterday Russell Martin and Korey Smith worked noticeably well together. Korey giving R. Martin some right midfield support that was completely missing in the Watford game.
12.
Super player. As others have said he is a deadly finisher and if you stick him in front of the goals like yesterday he will invariably put the ball away. He is also very clever at finding space and is excellent techincally. An illustration of this are those free kicks. He is the first player we''ve had since Ian Crook who makes me geniunely excited and expectant when we get a free kick near goal. Before anyone says Phil Mulryne that is a myth. He got one against Grimsby and never looked like doing it again.
We now have a selection of potential free-kick takers at the club; Chris Martin, Fox and Surman can all strike a decent dead-ball. Crofts, Hoolahan & Holt can too. Our cup runneth over with talent!
13.
Norfolk Mustard Said: Has a real mean streak - apparently he was banned for 6 months by the FA for violent conduct when at Liverpool. (I''ve met and seen the career-ending damage caused to his victim who was a Blackburn player at the time). This bit doesn''t add up to me. I was curious so did some google searches. Nothing came up. The search "Zak Whitbread" "violent conduct" "6 month ban"/"banned for 6 months" had 0 results. I typed in "Zak Whitbread" "violent conduct" and of the links I read nothing seemed to link to him to anything of a violent conduct (well aside from being an ex-Millwall player and Ian Henderson''s sending off against us in the ColWho match). In fact he''s only ever had 1 red card in his professional career. Ok the 30 yellows in 130 games shows he''s liable to making fouls but Holt received more yellows last season than Whitbread ever has in any one season. I don''t mean to call you a liar but it''s the way you made a statement "Has a real mean streak" immediately followed by the word "apparently". Then you say you met the player whose career was ended by Whitbread. Surely if you had met this "victim" you would surely know if Whitbread was "banned for 6 months" or not? Apologies but I don''t like people making unsubstantiated claims against players especially when it''s aimed at harming fans opinions of one of our players. Davo
Hi Davo, I met the ex-Blackburn player last year when he attended a 2-day training course I provided in Birmingham. Chatting over lunch I asked if he''d played against any big names when he was younger? He mentioned his experiences playing against Wayne Rooney & one or two others. Said his professional career was finished by a Liverpool youth player called Zak Whitbread; saying ''you''ve probably never heard of him?''. Actually I had, and he added ''I think he plays for Millwall now'' (the player hadn''t signed for Norwich then). He described the incident (I won''t go through the detail here) - and showed me the scars from his shattered ankle and lower leg break after being ''done''.  He claimed Whitbread was red carded and subsequently banned for 6 months as a result. His words - not mine. I have the individual''s telephone number (he''s a semi-pro in the North West these days) and he''s part of my social network on LinkedIn, so I can substantiate if required. On reflection, maybe I shouldn''t have mentioned it on a forum like this. Lesson learned there I think!
14. I think the suggested risk is that Simeon Jackson could get crocked playing in a fairly unimportant game and 3 league points may be more valuable from a Norwich perpective? Personally, I''d rather see him get his shooting boots on and find the back of the net whilst wearing yellow. The sooner the better.
15.
Well if he was to take that job (which i highly doubt) It would be a dead end for his reputation.
Steve Bruce hopped around a bit in his first few months and years - didn''t harm his reputation a great deal! It would be a brave appointment to put PL in charge of a senior Prem team...he could hardly refuse if it was offered though?
16. Surman has a sublime touch; watch out for some magnificent flicks and cleverly disguised reverse through-balls! Get Simeon Jackson & Chris Martin anticipating those effectively and we''ll soon be in the scoring business.
17. I find it refreshing to think this ex-Tyre Fitter turned Footballer chooses to nip about a Peugeot 307. Some people are into cars - others are not. Personally I''d much rather have a fit, 30-goal a season player in a reasonably-priced hatchback than a duffer posing in a flashmobile! This is from an interview with Owen Hargreaves: "Some people say that all footballers are interested in now are possessions but that depends on how quickly satisfied you are with simple things. Material things don''t really do anything for me. When you don''t have anything, then you want everything but when you can get everything, you realise it doesn''t really do anything for you. "You still think the same, you still feel the same. In the end, happiness comes from inside. If you are not happy with simple things, with your family or having a laugh, then you are not going to be happy because you have got a watch or a car. "Bayern gave me an Opel, a Jeep, when I got there. I had never driven before and I thought that was unbelievable. Then I wanted a better car. Then I wanted an even better car than that until the point where I had a Porsche Turbo. But it was still just a car. It was still the same thing. It''s great to go through it but you can''t define yourself through the objects you have acquired". Hargreaves understands that by ''externalising'' the source of your supposed happiness (in this case a car) does NOT guarantee true happiness. That lies within.
18.
You had no trouble spelling "Dyslexia" though. [;)]
It''s aclled ''Selective Lexdysia''.
19. I thought Russell Martin did remarkably well on Friday; too many times he was put in possession and looked up to discover no yellow shirts within 40/50 yards of him! I''d be pointing too if my colleagues went awol like that!
20.

Jens is vastly under rated by many of our fans.
Oh most definately! As Whitbread is far over rated by many it seems.
Hear Hear! Askou is class - I really admire him. Whitbread - What do we know about him? Not a lot to judge him on so far; very blond hair, wears his socks rather high and is injured most of the time. Has a real mean streak - apparently he was banned for 6 months by the FA for violent conduct when at Liverpool. (I''ve met and seen the career-ending damage caused to his victim who was a Blackburn player at the time). I would be happy with an Askou/Nelson partnership. Love the distance Askou gets on headers - with excellent direction too. He can play the ball out of defence well enough too. Fine player. Not sure about Elliott Ward yet...
21. For away games I think we''ll need to go more 4-5-1 anyway. The diamond thing is great when it works, but on Friday we played such a high line there was an acre to exploit behind the defence! Watford certainly made the most of that didn''t they? Right-side midfield concerned me; when Russell Martin was in possession he rarely had anyone ahead of him in space to pass to. The midfield had a left-bias which left a gaping hole in front of Russell Martin. What were his options? Run 80 yards down the wing and muster a decent cross? There was no-one with any height up front until Holt came on, so that would have been pointless - especially with Martin Taylor mopping up everything for Watford. Russell Martin could have opted for a good old Gary Doherty diagonal ball to the left wing I suppose, but that would eradicate the midfield who have been assembled for their passing ability. Thought we might have seen McNamee at the same time as Holt in the second half to inject some pace on that right-hand side?
22.

They probably walked out ticketless as the mall store doesn''t sell tickets
They do sell tickets in the Mall shop. They "experimented" with a policy of no ticket sales at the Castle Mall shop but quickly reverted to the status quo when it became clear that this was not the best decision they had ever made.
Blimey - are Francis Rossi & Rick Parfitt selling tickets in the Mall Canary store?
23.
absolute rubbish, given time ward and whitbread will both prove to be far better than the doc.
Time is something we cannot easily afford. Ward was incredibly poor last night - I was embarrased for him. He was short in every department. Whitbread is a sicknote player - from the little we''ve seen, Askou looks classier than both Ward and Whitbread.  The Doc must have been having a right chuckle at his replacement''s performance last night. The master on display was Martin Taylor. How did we fail to secure his services on a permanent basis? Malky knows a good ''un in that position - Taylor operates with so much composure - and he does it week in, week out. Fabulous example.
24.
God, there are some sad people around...... Here''s a genuine guy who gave his all for City. The fans loved him for it. The Club repaid him by showing him the door as we entered the Premiership and that must have hurt. He brings his '' underdog '' team to Carrow Road and then they have the nerve to upset the odds by beating East Anglia''s answer to Real Madrid. Shame on you Malky !! With all the off-field c*ap that now comes with football I''d have thought that applause from a beaten team''s supporters would be a nice touch in honour of a true City legend. In the one-dimensional world of some people apparently not. Shame on you.
Beautifully written (by ....and Smith must Score); it was a nice touch for Malky - he gave his heart and soul wearing yellow.
