  1. Our fine of £3000 seems quite small in comparison to the fine West Ham got for not being able to control their fans in the game against Millwall. They got a fine of about £120,000 plus having to pay another £5000 for damages. I''m proud to be a Norwich fan after seeing some of the crap fans of other clubs do. OTBC!
  2. Sorry, didn''t read this thread before starting another one. My bad. I''d like Adomah from Barnet to be honest, looks pretty nifty.
  3. After bagging our 4th signing of the January transfer window, does anyone think we need to sign anymore players to be able to ensure promotion this season. If so, what positions and what players do you suggest? Personally i think we need a right winger, possibly the guy from Barnet would be enough in my opinion. OTBC!
  4. Burnley haven''t made any approach towards Norwich City for Paul Lambert yet and Foulger and the board have stated their intent to keep him and his team at Carrow Road. So until an approach is made, of course Lambert will continue his job as normal, buying players if necessary. He''s not likely to stop giving 100% commitment to improving our team on the hope that Burnley make an approach. Until an approach is made, we should all stop making speculation, we''re winning games and there''s no need to disrupt the supporter harmony based on speculation, so all shh it and concentrate on giving the overwhelming support that our club deserves :) On The Ball City!
  5. Although i don''t expect us to catch Leeds, i think that should be what we''re aiming to do. You should never be looking at the teams below you, we should just concentrate on winning then if Leeds drop points then we''re there to pip them at the post. I think Lambert will tell the players that he want''s to chase Leeds as opposed to ''holding on'' to 2nd, no harm in being optimistic. Keep it up boys, OTBC!
  6. Holty, Super Chrissy have scored 20, 13 and 13 respectively in all competitions which comes to a grand total of 46 between the 3 of them in roughly half a season. It seems no team in our league can handle them, if they keep that up till the end of the season, I''ll be a very very happy canary. Anyone think we need to bring in a forward in January? Or if we go up, would we need to improve our front line? Good win today City! OTBC!
  7. Could we have a Huckerby-esque goodbye for him if we kick up enough of a fuss? I''m sure Carrow Road would love to say goodbye to him. Although if we threw him a goodbye do, he''d probably drop it...
  8. Lambert said when we signed him: "I then saw him again when I was at Colchester and he was quick, and he hasn''t lost that. So I''m glad we have got him in and he gives us another option."If we''re beating a team like Huddersfield 3-0, why does he need to try this other option? It seems to me that it''s more of a long term signing that will benefit the squad rather than bringing him in to have an immediate impact. Especially if we bring in another winger for the other side as well, such as that good bloke from Barnet. I imagine come the end of the season, he''ll have had a few games under his belt to show what he can do, but unless we stop winning, it seems needless to change things.
  9. Definitely need a CB signed in January, any further rumours about Grounds from Middlesborough? Askou and the Doc look solid together, similar to the Fleming-Mackay partnership we had a few years back. With Nelson in there, it looks like a completely different defence, argueably not as bad a player as he''s being made out and there have been a few crumbs of comfort supporting this, but i think he''s the wrong sort of player to be playing next to Askou/Doc. It almost seems like Nelson has never played with Doc before, there''s definitely a lack of communication and structure to our defence when Nelson is in there and i think that''s an essential factor with regards to defending. So he''s not necessarily an awful player but he''s definitely being made to look worse due to the way in which our squad is made up, i think Lambert will definitely be looking into bringing in a new CB in January, whether it be on loan or as a permanent signing.OTBC!
  10. I went and i''ve lost my voice due to it. Compared to usual we were quieter but what did we expect from a game like that in a meaningless competition, anyway compared to the Saints, our support was incredible. There fans were heavily outnumbered by empty seats. Except the empty seats probably made more noise, their ground is way too big for them.
  11. I was at the game, Nelson should''ve been sent off earlier in the 2nd half with a shocking tackle on one of their players. I was behind the goal for the penalties and the one''s i could bare to watch were pretty poor. Fair play though, it''s not like everything he did was bad, but he should''ve dealt with the equaliser, with Askou in the team i think we would''ve won. As well as this, i think if Wes stayed on the pitch, we would''ve won, easily the best player on the pitch and our best penalty taker.Best win the league now to make up for what was a heart-breaking result yesterday! On The Ball City!
  12. Looking ahead, anyone really that fussed about the game on tuesday night?Personally i think it''d be nice to get all the way to Wembley, i hope we play a full strength squad.OTBC!
  13. Good team that, i''m going 3-0. Holt to bag his 20th of the season and Hoolahan to score a penalty.OTBC!
  14. Anyone know what price the tickets will be? Says on the Southampton website the following:Prices in advance of the match are: Adults £12Season ticket holder Adult £9 Seniors/Young Adults £8Season ticket holder Seniors/Young Adults £5 Juniors £2Season Ticket Holder Juniors Free Matchday Pricing: Adults £18Seniors/Young Adults £15Juniors £5 but does this apply to away fans as well?
  15. anyone from the area have any idea of how expensive tickets will be? Saints don''t usually get massive crowds and with it being a cup game, tickets will hopefully be quite cheap so we should get a fair few canaries down the south coast cheering on the boys.
  16. not quite sure what happened at the start of that post, seemed to be quite focused on the words "weird" and "odd".Trust me, that never usually happens...
  17. I think it''s quite odd that it''s weird that weird giving one of the lad''s a trial, all the way from Northern Ireland after only one appearance for the first team, of which he was played out of position. Must be pretty special if he''s getting a trial that quickly.
  18.  http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter.com/full_article.asp?i=4989Apologies if a thread has already been started, i tend not to check. I should learn not to be so selfish!Anyhow, any know anything about them?Seems good that Lambert is looking to improve on our squad with these Cody-esque ''non league gems''. As long as they''ve got potential, seems like a good move.
  19. Just looked on SSN, Omozusi has just signed a two month loan deal at Charlton from Fulham. Seems he wasn''t released after all.
  20. I just signed him on the new Football Manager, both him and Danny Mills were available [;)]
  21. Perhaps so, i just wanted to get some credit for my subject title, took me the good part of 2 minutes to think of that. Not my best pun, but it''s been a long day...
  22. Can we now safely assume Maric won''t play in the near future, if ever again in a city shirt.Surely we must send him out on loan if anything so he get some football under his belt, seemed communication was a big issue for him so sending him out on loan might do him some good.I thought these were the sort of games he''d get a chance in to be honest. Surely he must not be in Lambert''s plans...
