1. 26 league starts, 21 league sub appearances, 7 league goals. So nearly 1 in 7 appearances for us.
2. Preston fan who posted that you signed a duffer in Simon Whaley, I believe I was right. Stephen Elliott, I can''t really describe him to be honest. I''d say he is fairly small and lightweight. At times, mostly at end of games when coming on as sub, he looks pacy but you never see this when he starts. He is not a bad passer of the ball, but he has a lousy touch when the ball is passed to him. During his 18 months he has not suffered from injury at all. He was not rated by Wolves fans when he was sold to us, and he is not rated by us. The only game I can remember thinking he might prove us wrong was when we beat Wolves away 3-0 or 3-1 and he scored 2. But apart from that his goalscoring records was shocking. He''s had his chances. After Christmas last year he started 14 out of 16 games scoring just 3, 2 at Wolves. He may do well for you though. A drop down in leagues might build his confidence up. Your a great club, fantastic stadium with good gates. Really hope you win the league this year. P.S. Thanks for Chris Brown. He had a shocker for you, but he near enough single handidly kept us up a few years ago. And he''s goal at the weekend was fantastic.
3.
Trust me he is poor! I can''t imagine the last time he played well for us. He was poor on loan at Barnsley as well. He has played at right back when we''ve been desperate. There''s not a cat in hells chance he will play in centre midfield. Any sign of a physical battle and Whaley becomes a shirker, and will not be seen all game.
Wasn''t wrong was I!?
4. Rubbish teams like Preston? Apart from two years ago when we had a really poor season, we have been to two Play Off Finals, two Play Off Semi Finals, and had two 7th place finishes in recent years. Granted we''ve never played in the Premiership but to call us rubbish is a bit unfair. Blackpool are rubbish lol.
5. He''d have scored a lot more if he hadn''t suffered problems with his back. When we first signed him his performances were brilliant and he was one of the main reasons we stopped up that year.

Whaleys problem at Preston is the fact no one has any faith in him if he signs for us it will be a great catch he would shine in league one
3 managers have never used him as a first team regular at Preston, and Simon Davey turned down the chance to keep him on loan at Barnsley longer. He''s had chance after chance. A drop down the league ladder might bring the best in him, but don''t expect too much. He may prove us wrong, like Chris Brown has probably proven a lot of your fans wrong.
7. http://www.pnefc.net/page/NewsDetail/0,,10362~1723174,00.html Bid officially accepted. Gone over the weekend. The drop in league might do him good.

9. I''d expect the fee to be higher then you think. Maybe around 500k? I hope you haven''t got any Casinos in your area. Whaley is a BIG gambler. Very glad that he is leaving us. Big time Charlie attitude, and only played well during one two month spell and that is it.
10. Been a major disappointment to be honest. In the 3 or 4 years he''s been here I''d say for two months of that he has looked a player. At that time we thought he would be better then Nugent. Unfortunately he hasn''t produced the goods since, he even disappointed in a loan spell at Barnsley last season. He does have pace, but once he gets found out he has no other tricks. He has a fierce strike, but very wild. The number of times he has hit people high up the stand in shooting practise is unbelievable. A drop down the league ladder may do him the world of good. But if anyone does get physical with him and you won''t see him for the rest of the game.
11. We left out Whaley due to the speculation regarding moving to you. Yet McKenna played even though we have had official bids from Forest for him which we have turned down. So I think this suggests a deal is close for Whaley.
12. Preston fan here. Will be glad to see the back of Whaley. He has been very poor for us, with the odd glimpses of class. He had a 2 month spell where he was looking a better prospect then Nugent, but that quickly went. Ducks out of any 50/50 tackle, if he can''t beat a full back with his pace he has nothing else up his sleeve, has a powerful shot but it is very wild, and drifts out of the game far too often. Also has had gambling problems in the past. We had been linked to Fotheringham a few times last season, I''d love us to get Clingan in exchange, but I think it''ll be Russell as we are after a physical player in the middle of midfield.
