1.
FC Barcelona is owned by its'' fans.  "Our" club is currently owned by a moderately rich couple, who consider themselves one of "us".  When they tire of throwing their money into the pit, they will hopefully find another rich mug who will be happy to throw more money into the pit.  While all this goes on, "we" will continue to pay our admission and attend on Saturdays and Tuesdays.  Most of the "we" that I am referring to don''t spend "our" non-attending time and energy worrying about Tangible Fixed Assets, "we" go to a game on a Saturday or Tuesday for entertainment, have a moan in the queue in the car on the way home then get on with our week.  "We" don''t have to find extra money for players, fixtures, or fittings, "we" don''t have to work an 80 hour week to get players in at the end of August.  "We" don''t have the keys, we pay to enter their space. Most football clubs in the UK only exist because of rich mugs who are willing to throw good money after bad chasing an impossible dream, and are encouraged by 10 or 15 per centers and Rupert Bleedin Murdoch to do so. The current "owners" of Liverpool are about to reap what they have sown - 300 million worth of debt ( more than likely, the debt they used to get the fans to buy the club for them, long term ), needs to be re-negotiated.  Who wants a club with 300 million worth of debt ?  Nice red shirts, mind you...
Good post Bbb.
 2.
A squad of 100% triers. Nothing like it to stir the crowd, inspire the county - and get this club moving in the right direction. Easier said than done - but a target well worth pursuing. In my view anyway. Anybody agree? OTBC
Absolutely right.
 3.

attention seekers
Completely agree Bristol, both these guys are ruining the message board with their pretentious drivel.
So im ruining the forum with a genuine sourced news article that I didnt realise had been posted already?  For gods sake, I made an innocent mistake, lets demonise somebody for daring to accidently duplicate a post. How pathetic, why dont we just become like Saudi Arabia and start cutting off the typing fingers of people that dare to perpetrate such hideous crimes.
I''m with you Ryan...to anyone with a brain it was obviously an innocent mistake.  People with nothing better to do...how sad.  Do you know anything about the Saudi constitution?  Perhaps they could busy themselves with drafting a constitution for the UK, instead of dribbling all over this post.
I consider myself more of a spunker than a dribbler
That''s your opinion.
 4.
Oh well, at least he got the attention he was craving
Lol

 6.

Wish I could take the credit for the line but it''s a Seinfeld classic I''m afraid. Goes with the old ''manager changes, owners change, players change but the fans are the only constant'' adage that crosses the divides of all spectator sports. I know where you''re coming from re Gill though. We need a team we can call ''ours'' through thick and thin, otherwise we''re just... (you know the rest!)
Did you find your heels yet LQ?
I wondered when that would come up....I''ll re-phrase that!!
 7. Reality for most fans hit after the Charlton debacle.  Where have you been?
 8.
Chris Coleman. Gordon Banks I think aswell but not sure.
Quite right with Gordon Banks...lost the sight of one eye.
 9. Why would it be any better under Cullum?  Bit more money about maybe, but does he know any more than the current board....and no I don''t want them to stay.  What I read about him on this message board does not inspire me with any confidence....you are all clutching at straws, or rather a straw.
 10.
I had a look down the main page, and couldnt see a thread on this yet?  This is very very good news, as long as we can afford him..   http://www.edp24.co.uk/content/edp24/sport/football/norwich-city/story.aspx?brand=EDPOnline&category=SportNorwich&tBrand=EDPOnline&tCategory=xDefault&itemid=NOED11%20Jun%202009%2009%3A50%3A05%3A537
Yes.  Good news, but do catch up.
 11.
Cant see you losing to often at home TBH.
Come and see then.
 12.
Then it is a sign of better things to come. I am sick of overpaid big time charlies who can''t really be bothered to earn their inflated wages. This type of player helps to make a team. It is a TEAM that we need, with maybe one special player like Hoolahan but the rest must get by on outstanding teamwork and working for eachother. The shocking thing about the last few seasons has been the lack of teamwork, we had some inpirational leadership from Dion which helped keep us up last time but remove him and we were left with Roeders disjointed misfit mercenaries. It is time to wipe the slate clean and build a proper team and this signing is the right way to go about it, exactly the calibre of signing we need. We just need another 7 of these.
Could not agree more Book End.  A team of Norwich City players is what is needed.
 13.
lol he scored against bahrain mind, even cureton could do that???!!....maybe
No he couldn''t.
 14.
Does anyone know whether it''s our reserves, or what''s left of the first team, playing?
Don''t forget to take your boots.  You may be needed.
 15. Impossible.  There''s not enough room at Carrow Road for that lot AND Hartson.
 16.

5 a side? would be intresting!!
It''d have to be. We''ve only got 5 players! [:D]
As many as that?
 17.
100 % YES
Cloudb cuckoo land.  Agree about the Delia bit though.

You are not introducing anything here that has not been said already other than you saying (and not very subtly either) ''look at me''. As for our debt - its not the amount that it stands at that worries me - its the fact that it hasn''t got any better since then. We were rumoured to have been in around £18mil-£20mil in debt when Chase left. So the argument would be why hasn''t that sum become smaller over the years especially with the success of the promotion and play off final season and five years of incredibly good gates?
Hear Hear.
Chicken i think you will find people have the right to say what they want!!! if you dont like the ignore them!!! easy!
I have never said that people do not have the right to freedom of speech (or type). The original poster has dug up several old posts for seemingly no reason when there have already been the oppertunity to discuss or indeed ongoing discussions on other threads in regards to these issues. I am not stating that they do not have a point just that digging up old posts to try and prove something is rather futile. Somewhere in the past every single possible outcome has been stated in opinion somewhere. We know several people on here who claim to have been against the board etc for a very long time - fair play to them and if you want to state that then fine but why did up a thread from 2003?
I agree its pointless, but we are have the right to ignore.... plus if you didnt hightlight we would be having this correspondence on a sunday afternoon!
Sorry Canary...what the hell is "hightlight"??!!
oh come on, can you not figure that out for yourself? the grammatical pedantry on this board seems to be a more common response than reasoned argument.
Yes Bleach I can figure it out...obviously you suffer from a sense of humour bypass.  Can''t appreciate a little lightheartedness?  Canary obviously can.  Incidently do you know what pedantry means...an ostentatious and inappropriate display of learning.  What the hell has that to do with a lighthearted dig at a typing error?[:P]
Pedantry is the art of being pedantic which has quite a lot to do with picking up on people who mistype. I apologise - in hindsight, I guess my sense of humour didn''t pick up on the witty use of sarcasm in your quip. I''d better get that sorted quick - wouldn''t want to be missing out on any hilarious sarcasm! In all seriousness, I''m just tired of people using other people''s spelling mistakes as a string in their bow when it comes to discussions. Granted yours may have been tongue in cheek, but it generally riles me.
Yes Bleach, mine was tongue in cheek...it generally riles me too.[:)]
