1. As the OP was only half consecrating, it is clear he does not follow the game religiously
2. I''m 60 this year, surprised I''m still here. Been a River End regular for over 40 years and season ticket for 30. If it''s not "A" then I have wasted a lot of time. Come to think of it, I have over the years. But isn''t that what the whole thing is about?

Big Vince wrote: Creative Midfielder wrote: Yes that''s exactly the difference - Chase would have sold Brady, Klose and Naismith and bought nobody because he would be trying to fill the massive hole in our finances that he''d created. People on this board have collective amnesia. Chase bought plenty of good players in his time and that was the reason the club was so successful on and off the pitch because when those players were sold on for profit it enabled the club to balance the books and improve the ground, buy land and develop the training ground at Colney. This was the formula that worked for 9 out of 10 years. Everyone knows what happened in the last year and the Delia apologists on this board like to keep repeating it to cover over her failings and deny Chase his proper place in history. Thread after thread this revisionist tosh gets posted. It was actually the last two and a half years. And in that two and a half years Chase systematically destroyed what Watling and South had built. Mike Walker saw it coming and baled out at the end of 1993 but Chase carried on with his destruction throughout 1994, 1995 through to May 1996 by which time the club was in total disarray. That''s before we look at how he engineered the demise of Sir Arthur and the protests and that EGM in his first three seasons. Nutty, my memory is the same as yours on this. Where has all this Chase was wonderful nostalgia come from? Those too young to have been there or those not fans then?
4. Insert time here? How about since September. How can you sign someone when there is no transfer window. Not that it would have made much difference to our recent performances. Signing new players will not solve this the current problem, perhaps some confidence, belief, better man management and tactical awareness along with the ability to admit mistakes, make changes and accept responsibility publicly (it used to be called taking one for the team) may go some way. Otherwise. Time to change the manager
5. 4552 now. That''s nearly 25% of the season ticket numbers. Maybe someone needs to start noticing this
6. I think you have hit the nail on the head TG "new team finding their feet together" If they had their feet separate they might be able to move and play better. Perhaps with your contacts in the game this could be suggested to AN. We could see more free flowing football and an upturn in results.
7.

I actually saw a Pips Skips truck today. Yellow with faded black signage. There''s one for the scrap heap I thought.
They''re stalwarts of the skip industry. Got a sponsorship opurtunity with them in the pipeline, just thrashing out the particulars - Busy times, but wouldn''t have it any other way. Anyway I''ve got to go - probably won''t be around to post content for a bit.
Thanks for that info TG. Good to know we won''t be throwing money away with that deal.

9. Re: Hate to say i told you so, but... Knock off Nige wrote: "Don''t believe that for a minute If it was banter that was going down and TG was involved I can assure you it was top draw " Surely as it was Pips Skips you should have said I refuse to believe that I think Pips Skips and the connection with '' rubbish '' and '' refuse '' might be a bit subtle for some on here Big Smile [:D] That''s a shame ....and Smith must score. It was only a throw away comment.

True Grit wrote: Hey Everybody, Not to blow my own trumpet, but I did say December would be an excellent month for the club and what a way to start; Was invited to sit in the ''Duffields Animal Feeds'' box (thanks guys, some great banter going on with the lads from Pips Skips)...... Have to say TG I heard the banter with the guys from Pips Skips. Thought it was rubbish
12. If you miss Mud. You can see them on Dec 4th in Gt Yarmouth. They are still touring.
13. Thanks for this Ricardo. I wasn''t able to be there tonight so good to have a measured report. Interesting that on the BBC news tonight Ed Balls said that AN has the support of the Board "in the next few weeks". A politicians answer or a sign of things to come?
14. At least he has got the Balls to be there!
15. I was right in front of him as he scored. From the sheer determined look on his face there was no doubt that ball was not going to go anywhere other than in the back of the net. Apart from that I thought he had a very solid day in defence. MotM for me by a long way today, which given some other good performances by many today only underlines how good he was.
16. He is still in the same seat in the River End. Doesn''t shout "Cheeseboard" anymore. I think he runs a Micro Brewery in Norwich and produced a beer which the club objected to the name of. It was in the press a couple of years ago.
17. Please don''t do anything so rash as to wake up those in the River End Upper. If you do this it may disturb the slumber of us in the lower tier. I rely on getting unbroken sleep throughout the match
