Stuff you've thought of but it's too dull for conversation

I started the Spanish course with that 👍 They also do a learn Klingon course 😯 -
I got quite a long way through watching that, then gave up, even though I enjoyed it. I realised I do this a lot with things, like the second series of Tehran (Apple TV) which was generally excellent, but I haven't attempted series 2 yet.

The Orville on Disney (I think) was rather good. Very good special effects, characters you can buy into decent storylines and a good dash of humour.
-
Yes. Absolutely love it.

Alan Partridge: I think the Irish are going through a major image change. I mean, the old image of leprechauns, shamrock, Guinness... horses running through council estates... toothless simpletons... people with eyebrows on their cheeks... badly tarmacked drives, in this country... uh, men in platform shoes being arrested for bombings... lots of rocks, and, uh, Beamish. I think people are saying "Yes, there's more to Ireland than this". A good slogan for the tourist board. "There's more to Oireland dan dis". -
For a one on one...

Had good views of the long-billed Dowitcher (American vagrant blown off course) at Carlton Marshes SWT yesterday. Wouldn't have known if someone hadn't pointed it out! Also pintail ducks, 1000+ black tailed godwits amongst many others. Thoroughly recommended, It's a great place to visit, lovely coffee and cake afterwards.

Why do I think it's Saturday today? I know I'm retired, but I was looking for the match thread, as well as thinking the retail park was not very busy for a Saturday. Oh, and Breydon Water is very high just now... -
Yep. In a world of 'celebrity' chefs, him and Si, came across as your best mates with a passion for celebrating great food and easy to watch TV. Very sad to hear, especially as said, I thought he'd turned a corner. RIP Dave.

That was one of the great Carrow Rd matches 👍 -

I'm probably being a bit thick here, but I don't understand exactly what has gone on with the defaced birth certificate... *BBC website made it a bit clearer. -

I have sympathy with the cause, because nobody else gives a ****. Whether they're going the right way about, who knows, it doesn't or hasn't affected me yet. -
I only got the last 4 letters on the 5th go, and had a lucky guess (of 3 options) on the last go. Streak intact...

This is a good point isn't it. People have different favourite players players for different reasons for different periods throughout their personal experience of supporting the club.

I don't think Webber would say that! -
The biggest threat over here in Gt Yarmouth is voter apathy. Very low turnouts last few general and local elections. Tories in by the back door again, but let's hope not

I agree with this list. Personally the other two ex Top Gear presenters annoy me much more than Clarkson. I'd add Tom Allen in there. -
TV/Streaming services programmes.

Death in Paradise has painted itself into a corner becoming a bit samey for the same reasons. Trouble in Paradise would have given them more variety in the storylines. -

I did recently watch the first series and I know exactly what you mean. So many bombs in such a short space of time... -
I thought we had a thread for this but I couldn't find one. Anyhoo, big thumbs up for Apple TVs Masters of the Air. Watched the first one last night and loved it. Local angle too, being about the 100th Bomb Group based at Thorpe Abbotts during WWII.

I stand to be corrected. Said the man in the orthopedic shoes 😁 -

I'm pretty sure the spacing for steps and the spacing for seats are two different things, in that you can't just bolt seats onto existing standing terracing. -

I think the main reason is that it will allow fans who currently persistently stand, to stand now, but within the guidelines of the law with no further threat of punishment to the club. That's my take.
