1.
I''m going for 3 or 4, the binner above is forgetting about our super ability to score in the 90th minute which I reckon will win us a fair few points next year. The best that we can hope for is that we can steal a point from most games, by playing ugly football if we have to, and of course that we survive Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford without major humiliation. Carrow Road is where its at, that''s where we can get the ball down and play the way that we want to. I want to see us attacking every home game, playing with real confident, but if we have to play for draws away from home then so be it.
The ''binner'' is actually a Man City fan, and to be honest I wouldnt expect our ability for last minute goals to necessarily have hit his radar.  Not many supporters of clubs in the prem pay much attention to those in the Football League   In response to the original post, I think 3 - 4 is a not - unreasonable expectation from the following:   Wigan QPR Blackburn West Brom Villa Newcastle Sunderland + 1 ''surprise'' against one of the top 6 teams (Liverpool, Man C, Man U, Arsenal, Spuds and Chelsea) - with the Gooners usual implosion at the end of the season possible favourite at the moment (by the way Im not suggesting we''ll win ALL of the above)   To be safe we really need 10 - 11 wins - so if we can get 3 or 4 away that eases pressure at home.  8 wins on the other hand (bearing in mind that we only got 10 wins out of 23 last year - and we''ve only got 19 games this year) is just unlikely
 2. The Beehive is showing every Norwich game (its been well advertised) as is the Parson Woodeforde at Weston Longville
 3.
They can afford to do that Barclay Hero. I emailed the club last night with my gripes and they called me this morning. The best they could offer me was the March 5 deadline price for Adults, which is what I was told in the ticket office so no advances there. They dismissed smiley''s comments as message board wind-ups after I briefly mentioned the case. I wouldn''t have an issue at all if it was well publicised when the cut off date is, and they had asked me for the full amount from the beginning, or even contacted me to rectify their mistake, but none of that occurred. Had I refused to pay up they would easily be able to fill my seat with someone else so I had to pay as I want to see our team play this season!
Im hoping Purple reads this as I know he''s fairly aware of legal-stuff (im reasonably aware but would like another view).  Im going to talk legalese for a second but I''ll try and explain it whilst I go along   You may still have a case for appeal - basically this falls into the law of contract.  For there to be a legal contract there has to be an offer (of a season ticket for a required amount) acceptance (of that ticket and amount) and consideration (ie payment of something of value - in this case money).  Any party can make a counter offer at any point until the contract is finalised. Once the contract is completed no party can withdraw without the other sides agreement, or being able to prove that there was no ''consensus ad ideam'' which means meeting of minds - ie if you''d asked (and paid) for a season ticket and they sent you a membership instead.  If the contract is deemed to be completed based on consideration for an u-21 ticket then I cant see the club can reasonably rescind it, especially if there was no deadline mentioned.  I would reasonably expect the ''U21 date'' to be either the date you applied, or the date of the start of the season, or the date of the end of the season - if there is any ambiguity then the law says the party drawing up the agreement (ie the club in their leaflet) is at fault and will come down on the side of the other party.  Especially if the other party is an individual taking on a corporate entity.  This rule is called ''Contra Proferentum'' (from memory) Fundementally if the club have accepted your application as valid, and consideration is paid then they should accept it regardless of any deadlines applied retrospectively The only potential banana skin would be whether the price indicated was not contractual but an ''invitation to treat''.  In such cases neither side actually have to stick to the price.  This is the situation in a shop where an advertised price could - in theory at least - be negotiated down.  Likewise the shop DONT have to stick to the price advertised (although this is getting into trading standards, false advertising and the like).  I mention this only because there is a slight chance the club may use this as an excuse but I dont think it actually applies here - a season ticket is effectively a contract for the club to supply a seat to watch specified matches (in this case all home league games) Personally - Id go back to the club and indicate you are looking to take this further - unless the club can produce evidence that youve applied for the wrong category knowing it was wrong (ie fraud) Im not sure they can really get out of it.  However be prepared to follow it through if you do this
 4. Casual tickets likely to be the day of the game or the day theyre purchased.    I can see where the club is coming from although it may seem harsh - however there does seem to be one rule for one and one for another probably depending on who you get in the ticket office.  Having any cut off date into the football season does seem a bit daft - I suppose it keeps it in line with ''Academic Years'' but opens all sorts of arguments.  If the club had an August 1 deadline - and publicised it - then there would be any issue around when youre 21.  In the absence of that, the club should accept that theyve not done things 100% correctly and aim for next season instead   Also - playing devils advocate - are the club hoping that a few U-21s just give up the argument and either pay the extra or give up their seat for the club to re-sell to an adult?
 5.

I apologise I dodn''t finish not seats basically a cushion with a handle they cost about $5 in the states, you just bring it along yourself like a cushion.
They used to have them years ago in the old Main Stand...until the linesman made a dodgy decision and a load used to be aimed in his direction!
And that is exactly why you wont see removable seat cushions in any football ground in this country.  Otherwise you''ll get a certain lunatic fringe filling theirs with bricks, firelighters (and then setting fire to them), or other miscellaneous weaponry to be aimed at opposing players, fans, or in some case same side players and fans - as well as match officials
 6. Norwich Union used to open their carpark on Brazengate (behind Sainsburys on Queens Road) to the public at weekends - and I remember it was only a couple of quid for matchdays.  Not sure if they still do - I actually park at my work in the city centre - although it does mean that I have that steep hill to come back up after the game (just round the corner from the end of City Rd)
 7. I went a couple of years ago - I actually parked (for free) a couple of stops up the railway line and got the train down.  Probably not a lot in it cost wise but it did mean I just jumped in my car and went when I got back to the station - no queues
 8.
I wish it had a NCFC logo on it or Canary...Kinda boring to me just the yellow and green checkerboard
And then you get into the whole copyright/intellectual property issue again   Its probably best to keep it to plain checkerboard
 9. Personally Im going to Wigan instead.  Even with the travel its costing me less than watching the Stoke game.  Maybe others are in the same boat?
 10.
The players are supposed to be playing for places and they still can''t raise their game far enough to compete with lower league opposition. Really doesn''t bode well!
And we beat Palarse 2 years ago!  Lambert out!  Gunn Inn!!  Lets replace McNally with Doncaster!!  Bring back Cody!!  [:S]   Some people seem to forget where we''ve come from in a very short space of time.  Yes it may be a long hard season but its a long hard season in the PREM.  Maybe some supporters need a reality check - we arent going to win the league this year.  We''ll do well finishing 17th this year.  The only results that matter are the 38 league games plus however-many cup games, starting on 13th August
 11. Ive had a look at the relevant rule and there is nothing to say that "If you have more than 25 senior players over the age of 21 then you MUST name 25" - unless Ive missed something http://www.premierleague.com/page/Headlines/0,,12306~2282331,00.html Think those hoping to see Cody and MacNamee pitching themselves against John Terry are likely to be disappointed
 12.
I''ve had mine since 2008 so my record stands at Relegation - Promotion - Promotion - ????????? 4 years 4 different divisions!
Not quite!  3 divisons - Champs - League 1 - Champs - Prem Mine were all seasons of midtable obscurity - the odd flirt with relegation or playoffs but that was it.  Its certainly not been boring the last few years!
 13. Good idea Marvin With regards to travelling alone, its something Ive done a couple of times - its quite good fun especially on a train as youre quite often in with other teams supporters going elsewhere - eg Peterborough, Newcastle etc fans - and theres often quite a bit of banter.  Wigan Im actually going to try the coach organised by work (dont usually like coach travel but its only a few quid and a lot cheaper than going on the train)
 14. Not currently a ST holder - used to be from 96 - 2000 when the kids started coming along.   Been a member (and then Supermember) since and probably get to 7 or 8 games a season.  Promotion a couple of months ago meant ironically that I could have maybe have (just) afforded season tickets had it not been for the monster waiting list....so at the moment its casual games only.  The plus side (for me) is I actually attend more away games than home as a rule
 15. Just ignore Mungo - he''s a closet binner.
 16.   Not at all Ruddy Wizard old boy - if one was talking ironically that is fine   Personally Im going to try and wander down the ticket office at lunchtime and see how the queues are - if its too busy I''ll leave it and try again tomorrow, hoping I dont end up with egg on my face and missing the deadline....
 17. Its an extra £5 for the year - to be honest anyone signing up for ''normal'' membership now is a bit mad - all you''ll probably get is a discount from the club shop.  Tickets will have gone before it gets to that priority group...
 18.

i am now in the queue to!! i reckon they only started taking calls at 9am
Surely they can''t do that can they?
Why not?  The club isnt going to have a 24 hour ticket line just because people are getting into a panic and wanting their tickets now.  Calm down, theres a lot of tickets and the game is still 2 and a half weeks away
 19. As you mention elsewhere LeJuge there were a couple of errors around age and Holts signing.  Otherwise most of what is written is purely - as you say - subjective and not without grounds.  Are we in the same position as Wolves regarding signings - simple answer is no, theyve had a couple of years in the Prem now and therefore will have more money in the bank.  Its a bit like a kid being given a tenner a week pocket money - the first week they get it they can only afford a couple of small toys and some sweets.  Save a bit each week and by week 3 you''ve got a reasonable amount to spend on bigger toys and so on.  People expecting a ''Marquee'' signing and to see us competing with Wolves, Sunderland and even Wigan need a bit of a reality check
 20. Lambert leaves more ''between the lines'' than actual statement.  I also think that he never stops looking at whos available.   I think its reasonable to expect no more signings during the summer, however if the right player came along at the right price then hes not ruled them out.  If Lansbury and/or Pacheco do come back its more likely to be once the season is underway and Arsenal/Liverpool have decided to sell
 21.
Think people are reading too far into this. He enjoyed his tme here and I''m sure would be happy to return to play again. No where does it say we are interested, nor he is hoping for a return here. Were only allowed 2 loanees from Prem clubs aren''t we?
We''re only allowed 2 loan players from ''another club'' at any one time and 4 during the season in total (if the previous loanees return to their parent clubs or become permanent signings)
 22.
yes it is!
Me too...
 23.
Bradley Johnson for me. Not only is he a workhorse and an engine but also a great free transfer. He has energy, grit and I met him the other week!! Nice chap!
Same for me. A lot of comment has been made around defensive frailties, however if you have a midfield that blocks the way to the back 4 youre going to limit the opportunities the other teams have. Not only that but an effective midfield enables your full backs to push upfield too. From what Ive seen of Johnson in the last couple of seasons he''ll provide a lot of that bite in the centre, whilst scoring the odd safri-like goal too
 24. Not an issue certainly for home games as there are no U21 casual tickets. You might get away with the odd cheap away game though.....
