  1. Probably but will never know. His heart was clearly set on the prem and anything else would've been second best and when your spending a few million it's probably best to find out now. Had it have been Luton at the last minute he would've done the same. Can't blame him but it seems Bournemouth is probably the best option he could have ever got by the looks of it. No sleep lost and will have other options. Probably wouldve been easier for Farke though as he has worked with him.
  2. It leaves the door to try and get Hamer as they want about £15m I think but Phil Hay says we were slightly short of meeting their valuation(that could be with the Aarons move of £9m plus add-ons. We are set to lose Adams for £20m. Ayling is a liability so and by all accounts Dramah did well in that position last season so it maybe a case of that. To be honest Max's name has only just come to surface in the last few hours so no big loss at this stage Performance of Aarons does have a lot of mixed feelings on here though?
  3. Looks like we have dodged a bullet looking at most of the comments on here. I was looking for feedback on Aarons but seems like he hasn't been great for a while. Let him try his luck at Bournemouth.
  4. To be honest I'm not sure if he has the funds to sign anyone else. We desperately need a number 9, Bamford yet again has got himself injured in a pre season game and it's becoming an absolute joke with him now. He's on a reported 70k a week so he has to stay on the books and take a big chunk of our financial resources. I would have thought Farke would have wanted a 20 goal man but I just can't see anything being available for him.
  5. The team togetherness isn't as strong. Bielsa did wonders with an average team and made them better than what they actually were. There is no hiding that the board made a total hash of the transfers in the prem which is becoming a hangover in the championship. The problem I don't actually know who will be in the squad by the end of the window because the likes of Sinisterra, Harrison,Gnonto and Adams could still go and will need to be replaced. In a nutshell there are many holes in the team as it stands and there is still work to be done but has to be done within the rules of the EFL. Farke doesn't have a Pukki type in the team.
  6. And the only memorable one was the first year. You know yourself it's not great spending the whole season in the bottom 4
  7. Yep, Leeds back in the championship after a 3yr absence of being in a league of VAR, up against teams with mega money and having the joys of winning around 6-8 games all season. Be rest assured, going straight back up is not a given even though we have a manager who you remember fondly. We are left with the "Victor Orta hangover" with having some dross players on the books on stupidly high wages that no one wants to buy and it's looking like we need to ship out more before we can buy and balance the FFP books. (Gnonto, Harrison,Summerville, Sinisterra) There is nothing that suggests a bounce back to the prem this season unless Farke really is the Messiah. We are even trialling Sam Byram🫣. I personally don't think it will be an easy ride for Leicester either, they have a totally unproven manager. Wouldn't be surprised if a team like Boro take the reins. See you at Carrow Road and ER.
  8. We (Leeds) were shocking and nothing like last season but Norwich were absolutely dire. I was promised a "Norwich in a better position" when I came on here months ago though. If its any consolidation we are miles away from being safe but you have looked worse than you did last season. Time to look at the route of the issue because you will be down for xmas.
  9. Buendia would have been better off under Bielsa but then again Leeds obviously weren't looking at him. Villa has turned from a one man team to a two man team (as results proved when Grealish was out). Unsure why Norwich didn't want to keep him as he is a vital cog in help staying up.
  10. In the last 16 years Norwich City for sure 😏.
  11. Well if we say we are confident then it looks cocky and probably a typical "stereotypical" response from a Leeds fan point of view, however many pundits have said that Leeds will kick on next season. Bielsa is as good as staying another season and many didn't even think he would have signed another contract 2 years ago when they failed to go up so personally and without sounding cocky I just think that Leeds will not suffer a second season syndrome. Whether they do as well as this season remains to be seen.
  12. Baffles me why you are constantly defending the club. Well as long as your happy being up and down 🤷‍♂️
  13. Like I say you have basically the squad pending maybe 2-3 decent players so its over to Farke and the board to do the rest. Let's see if they have the ambition this time.
  14. I'd take being a Wolves or a Palace. Leeds are not ready for any european football by any means, they don't really have the squad depth to rotate for all those games anyway. I don't think Norwich need to risk everything, you have a decent team and a good youth set up and if Farke is as good as people are making out then you wouldn't need to spend the earth next season. On paper you have a better squad than what Leeds did in the championship and we only filled the voids with extra quality so with maybe 3-4 very astute signings then why can't Farke get you mid table next season or minimum 17th. Basically why do you need to keep settling for being a yo-yo club when you dropped back down to rebuild and be in a better position?!! Surely the majority of the fans need this cycle to break and like I said it doesn't mean totally breaking the bank to do it.
  15. Leeds are in first place in the last 10 games form table which suggests that it is the other teams that maybe slowing down as well as the cup games some of the teams have had to play. Leeds are finishing the league the strongest. I fully expect them to finish the league in dominating style against WBA sunday. Unfortunately it seems a lot players are put off going to Leeds because of the rigorous training he puts them through. I have never witnessed Bielsa burnout in 3 years of him being a Leeds manager however we did lose form especially under his first season and then before covid hit which is a different thing. The domination possession has always been there. Covid helped them regain form, they were not burning out.
  16. Buendia would get in a lot of the mid to lower prem teams, he is a great player, however better than Grealish as he was in the championship only a couple of years ago? I think that's some statement to make. Grealish is a lot of things but he is a fantastic player which is why he has nearly a £60m price tag according to Transfermark. Whether or not you agree he will be playing in a top 4 team soon.
  17. Im unsure why people slag Bamford off. He was probably quite poor a few seasons back but he is a very good player now and that is down to hard work. Pukki has a much better championship scoring record than Bamford granted but then so did Dwight Gayle but look how hopeless he is in the prem. I'm not convinced Pukki is a better overall player than Bamford and im not convinced he does as much for the team. Leeds don't need to rely on him as their only scorer but the the team is notably stronger when he is in it. When Fifa scores a player they dont just use their goals to give that player a higher score so really Pukki scoring more championship goals than Bamford doesn't sum up how good that player is. So really you can't say Pukki is better than Bamford because I really don't think he is. Maybe check the fifa stats though 😏 Alioski I agree with but Ayling is a vital cog in the team.
  18. Sorry, yes I gathered that. What I should have said is if he is good enough to manage a top 4 team then he would need to be kept happy at Norwich if you don't ever want him to leave. Having said that no manager is bigger than the club. I suppose its a vicious circle, if the board won't back any manager in the prem then its up what type of manager would relish the chance for the job with little funds to play with. You do have the core of a good squad and the likes of Buendia would quickly jump ship. You do have a good youth system though.
  19. I dont mean given a chance by the board but for his own C.V. If he will one day manage in the champions league then he will need backing by the board at Norwich otherwise he will leave. In previous years and what a lot of Norwich fans are saying the board has always been reluctant to spend in the prem which is why you are always up and down. Farke surely will want guarantees this time.
  20. Farke has been given the second chance. Its brill talking about "great management" but will the funds be available to you though? If Farke is as good as you make out then you should definitely stay up with just a couple of additions. If you struggle then is he the messiah you all think?
  21. He's just trying to get as many as possible before the mighty Pukki comes back into the league. 😉
  22. There is no indication that Radz will leave the club and I agree had we not gone up then we would have lost Bielsa and Phillips. Having said that had Norwich not gone up you would have also lost Buendia and Cantwell, both far too good for the championship. Its fine having fans as owners as long as they back it up with finances. The board surely need to question where they have gone wrong with failed promotions over the last few years. Why does Norwich find their way back to the championship after 1-2 years? Leeds have been badly run for years and this goes back to the Ridsdale era, then we had Bates, GFH Capital and Cellino. Radz has given Bielsa what he wants and has delivered his aims. If Radz does go then Bielsa might but like I say I have heard nothing on that subject and don't listen to rumours.
