  1. Not sure what questions led McNally to say he was "embarrassed" by our current league position but to be honest, I think it''s a bit strong. We are in the relegation zone because we come after Fulham in the alphabet. We have played only 7 games and have just come off the back of a very unlucky defeat to a really strong side. I feel a bit uneasy, a little concerned but still optimistic and most certainly not embarrassed.
  2. Yep, my guess is he has 10 games, by which time some people on here will have either burst due to apoplectic rage or be suffering from indigestion due to the eating of lots of words.
  3. "3 of those teams are so high because they got 3 points from us" True, plus they beat some (in some cases, pretty good) sides. "2 of those 3 should have gotten nothing." By the same token Soton and Everton may well say we should have gotten nothing. And the moral of the story is...it''s far too early to start panicking. The ''let''s see where we after 10 matches'' cliche is only a cliche because it''s a pretty wise missive.
  4. to the clubs in 1st, 7th and 9th place, beaten the club in 4th and drawn withe club in 8th. Just saying.
  5. Anthony McNamee currently warming the bench for the mighty Woking FC.
  6. Remember how Lambert used to go all knock-kneed, gooey eyed and generally to pieces whenever he came up against O''Neill? This may be worth it just to see he come over all unnecessary again when we come up against Villa.
  7. Yep we''re certainly going for it and they look like scoring every time they cross the halfway line. The goal was shocking. Just shocking.
  8. Oh and I wasn''t convinced by Ollson either.
  9. Spent the evening channel hopping so maybe this isn''t a fully informed post but thought all our lads did well with the exception of Snodders, who, as has already been said, seemed to carry his club form into the match and Whittaker who had a really tough time and was made to look very ordinary at times.
  10. Thought he was with my local club (Woking) when it happened? Maybe not. Incidentally, Mr Anthony McNamee is currently gracing Woking FC''s team.
  11. So. Farewell then Jacob Butterfield Someone said you were quite good. I think you had a beard like Bradley. But I''m not sure. "Why am I here?''" was your catchphrase. EJ Thribb (17 1/2)
  12. Pacheco gone back to Spain. Div 2 club. Suerte
  13. Some would have it that we are the surrender monkeys now.....
  14. Explains the posts about the rumblings coming out of Colney this week.
  15. He said. He heard something and wanted to know if anyone else had heard something. Brilliant.
  16. They may well lose but these early stages have put last week into further perspective.
  17. Good post. Some people on here nearly did themselves a mischief as the last deadline approached.
  18. I heard a very big rumour about one of our players leaving this week it happened weds / thurs but it is not going to happen as we speak as they are worried about a passed injury so their interest has cooled , don''t know how true it is of course but came from a very good source Translated: I have a large ego/am very insecure and therefore I want to write something on a message board which will: a) show that I know important people b) make people hover around me asking for more information I am not questioning the veracity of what you are saying, just your motivation in posting it on this board. If you know stuff you don''t want to share don''t mention it at all, mate.
  19. And so in the end, they went for Tears For Fears'' SCHRODINGER''S CAT. Never heard it before. I suppose it was appropriate we were included on 6 Music this morning.
  20. Sneaky. Hughton will now use the conceding of 3 goals to lower league opposition while playing attacking football to justify his reversion to negative tactics in the league. B@stard.
  21. For a fan of Jon Ronson I would have expected you to have a more refined satire detector Mr Goats.
  22. Phwoar, yeah, that Ian Botham, I''d give him one.
