  1. No way would Knapper sell his soul! He’d lose complete credibility with the fans.
  2. Agree… But we could tell him to change direction and give Gibbs and Warner proper game time and to sideline the mercenaries …..
  3. I’m with you there! You make a fair point re this coach and I wouldn’t have a problem with it but some do get over excited without any evidence. I’d rather they let Wagner go and asked Adams to finish the season with Gibbs in CDM and Warner at CB so they got some decent development rather than just wasting the rest of yet another failed season with no progression.
  4. Not Hanley and definitely not McLean for me in that list and Sainz hasn’t done enough yet to suggest he’s consistent enough so 4! Its kinda strange the some fans are getting excited at the mention of a coach who we’ve hardly heard of before just cos he’s from Arsenal. Coaches don’t necessarily make good managers just like footballers don’t! All I can imagine is he’s likely to be better than the one we’ve got. Club still chasing promotion I see. Clueless and utterly incompetent…. We are on a trajectory to L1, not the play-offs!
  5. The club deserve criticism over many things but not speculation. This is a Cambridge Romano thread!
  6. He’s 21, very, very young for a CB. He’s had some experience but not much and has been our captain. That doesn’t happen if he’s not very good and respected surely. He played well and only had a difficult time at the end of last season when the team struggled and as we all know, it doesn’t have a screen for the defence by way of a CDM. I don’t trust our club’s judgment on players whether we employ them or want to! Mumba and Omobamidele, Batth, Duffy and Barnes are perfect recent examples. He should still be here learning his trade, feel for the lad. Warner in / Duffy out!
  7. Theres probably 5 / 6000 more significant contacts in the boxes of that one game. It may be interpretation but that's not enough contact for a player to lose their balance and fall over. To get to this level they have to have to be strong and have particularly good balance. It is supposedly a contact sport! It is blatant cheating. VAR and the FA and UEFA and FIFA could address this quite easily. No integrity, it ruins games for me, its like watching a show on TV until the point where the plot gets ridiculous and you turn off. The referees are the ones that allow it, primarily cos they've never played the game. Just look at VAR's interventions to see they haven't got a clue.
  8. Its now a tiny contact sport.... no integrity left in the professional game. That's blatant cheating and the game allows it. A 'right to go down' is a 'right to cheat'.
  9. Bali Mumba, L1 young player of the season only 8 months ago! Sadly, some other Championship team snapped him up, and only £1m too! Bargain!
  10. Hmmm! Just wondering, do you judge a player based on :- a) what you hear from other fans b) trust that the manager’s know what they are doing when making team selections? c) the pink un!
  11. There are some very well articulated posts in this thread, many in fact. Logically, this may well be the best of the lot. Spot on analysis although some won’t be able to contemplate that McLean has quite the range of deficiencies. He has though.
  12. Be happy to see the recruitment team replaced. Couldn’t trust them to pick out suitable players especially while we have 1) Wagner and 2) no proper plan as to how we want to play. Rather see a few old-timers released than incomings.
  13. Even the first option requires his sacking. But let’s face it, the whole club needs overhaul. Executives need direction, clarity and some nous, a new plan cleverly communicated by action. Recruitment personnel need upgrade, Wagner must go with Adams (ideally) stepping in to see out the season. Until this happens, no point in recruiting more players. The team should have all the pressure removed and given new focus on a playing philosophy and support to enjoy playing again. This should involve primarily Gunn, Stacey, Fisher, Warner, McCallum, Gibbs, Nunez, Sara, Sainz, Rowe, Idah, Sargent and a few of the more experienced players to help out for now… Keeper (not Long), Giannoulis, Hanley, McLean, Duffy, Hwang. Fisher and Springett probably need loans. The rest should look to move on, with our sincerest apologies!
  14. Mumba did that, was L1 young player of the season, playing left midfield / wing! What did we do? Gave him away for peanuts and played Hernandez and Platcheta wide left! Club needs manager who is brave, gets the lads inspired and believing again. That doesn’t happen with short term strategy and incompetent staff in recruitment and coaching functions. That needs sorting first!
  15. Springett would do as much as Hernandez, Gibbs is our most likely CDM at present …. Good managers would show belief in them and give them proper opportunities and patience to bring them through…. Gibbs doesn’t need a loan, he needs games as CDM. Warner needs games as CB, season is over other than to develop.
  16. Understandable really…. We really let that lad down badly! Sad but I blame the club for that, not him.
  17. Two years now, we’re not developing anything, and you lot still dream of the playoffs….. seriously deluded. If we got promoted somehow, we’d get absolutely destroyed with this lot!
  18. I doubt it very much. Nothing I’ve seen to get us hopeful though…. Time will tell. I just can’t get over excited with this squad or manager or board. I don’t see anything to suggest we are trending in the right direction long-term….. Could be wrong, but I do expect this forums mood to have changed negatively before the end of January! Just my opinion that’s all and I would like us to be progressing and being successful as much as any other fan.
  19. I’m not fearing it at all. Am fully expecting it and hopefully at some point, the club will finally wake up! I fear they won’t!
  20. He only plays him out of position and clearly doesn’t instill any confidence in the kid, seems to me he’s under pressure every time he goes onto the pitch. No wonder he doesn’t do enough.
  21. Suspect most Norwich fans (if they’re honest) fear this, since we’re about to play some half decent teams. That last run was definitely due to the poor quality of the opposition. Yes, you can only beat what’s in front of you and yes, it builds confidence which is essential at this level but this squad and how it’s set up simply isn’t good enough!
