1. Did the same thing in leeds uni union, frightened some children, didn''t care
 2. Sell Jacko and use the funds loan in and then buy Craig Mackail-Smith
 3. Agree with everything you say, we''ve been through a slump in form but lost only once, yesterday was typical of football where the team who played the best missed out, but the overall signs were encouraging, we have and will play worse in the remaining games of this season and win, of that we can be sure. It''s a defeat but we can pick ourselves up, go again and come back stronger
 4. I know they''re not fully proven at championship level but i would love to see us go after craig mackail-smith and george boyd, they''re a couple of quality players who i''m amazed have not been snapped up by some ofthe bigger clubs in this league. I fully accept that peterborough hardly set the world alight last season but they both acquitted themselves very well, scoring some quality goals in the process. I believe they''re both realistic money wise and the kind of hungry young(ish) players who would give us the quality to get over the line in the play offs positions at least
 5. cheers mate, looks like pickings are slim probably will give the box a go as i''m in hyde park
 6. Does anyone know the best place to watch the game in Leeds? Looked on the net and the only place I could find was Varsity which is a chavhole I would rather avoid.
 7.

All this ''start him from the sidelines to have more impact'' is a load of old balls.  He has genuine pace (the only one in the team) and is a football player that deserves to start.  If someone plays well, they should be played from the start.
I agree he has genuine pace. But is it a  load of old balls? He has the same genuine pace when he starts as when he comes off the bench - yet his impact/contribution to the game is significantly less when he starts sitting down.  Its the same with Oli Johnson and Cody Mac.  Its as much about the defenders, who are more tired to face the fresher pace after 60 mins that from the start.   I would love to see the stats but the impression I have is that his assists, goals,  crossing and overall threat are significantly better when he does not start. I also  think starting with a solid team (lappin far better defensively) is part of the reason we finish so strongly - let our opponents tire themselves against a more defensive line up and then we unleash the pace to supplement the attckers we have on to exploit/finish teams off.  Its working so why would we change it?   As fans perhaps we just need to trust lamberts assessment - its getting us victories and he chose surman and then lappin of MacNamee as a starter - who are any of us to quibble?
Zipper, the stats would OBVIOUSLY weigh heavily in favour of him coming off the bench because he''s barely started a match. Dear oh dear, I do wonder about you people sometimes.
evidently you''re not a statistician, ever heard of a zippy new concept called percentages?
 8.
Best for me has got to be Charlton, It is fairly big (but never full!) and we always take a large following there, plus Ive been there 3 times in a year and half! Worst is Gillingham, The away end had no roof, and the whole area as a whole is a sh*t hole! Nothing compares to Carrow Road though!
Agreed the atmosphere you can generate in the jimmy seed stand is brilliant, and of course great memories from last season. Also loved Brenford, great to be in a proper stand with terracing.
 9. MacDougall''s Perm wrote: "How on earth could I have forgotten St Pauli!!!!!!!" How indeed Mac? Would love to try and get to Millerntor for the Hamburg derby this season, it''s gonna be interesting, can''t imagine there''ll be many spare tickets though. "Sankt Pauli gegen rechts!!!!"
 10.
Brazil''s shirts seem pretty damn popular though despite the colour scheme. I agree with Salford, I''d love to see a ''proper'' kit back again. We haven''t had a decent kit since the Adidas, Asics and Hummel efforts of the 80''s. If Adidas made a retro styled kit I think they would fly off the shelves...
Exactly! I own three shirts from the 80 which i''vew bought off ebay, haven''t bought a current kit in years because generally they''ve been blood y awful. Would love to see us team up with a decent designer and get a retro styled kit similar to one from the late seventies or eighties and would certainly buy it if we did.
 11. Honestly would say Kenny Jackett deserves it more than anyone, to beat Bristol City, Hull and Coventry so convincingly when Milwall are arguably the weakest of the three teams to come up is a massive achievement. So many people tipped them to struggle but for the moment at least they are doing admirably, 9 points from 4 games is an excellent return for a newly promoted side.
 12.
Had a look on Macron''s website. They seem to supply quite a lot of teams ... and some well known ones like Napoli Link
I like a lot of those kits, some really nice simple bold designs and they all have a nice classic, retro feel to them, particularly like the Bologna and West Ham home and away kits. It also looks like they design a unique kit for each team rather than using a generic one for the less high profile teams, it''s a nice touch and suggests we''d get a one off strip if the club were to go with them.
 13. Lowestoft Town: Hometown club. Celtic: Irish Catholic family. Fiorentina: My housemate is from Florence and have been to see them play a couple of times, also love their kit. FC St Pauli: A club which has come symbolise everything special about football and punk rock culture, plus they walk onto the pitch to Hells Bells by AC/DC.

 15. Solid. Comedy. Gold.  You''ve genuinely brightened up a dull morning at work.
 16.
When is somebody going to come up with a song for Simeon? I was wanting to sing something on Saturday, but being a bit of a dim wit I could not think of anything to sing! I said that Jackson was a class act and worth the money that we signed him for.  This is the first little bit of payback from somebody who will prove to be a very useful part of our squad over the next few years.
Oukast, Sorry Miss Jackson: "Simeon Jackson you are for real" Suggestions for further lyrics would be appreciated!
 17. Don''t forget that for this week at least Hoolahan is the laziest, least skillful, most selfish player ever to pull on the shirt. Next week Messi may not be fit to tie his shoe laces, we shall see......
 18. I agree almost entirely with what you say except re: R. Martin and Scott Sinclair, IMO there are not too many players in the leaguee who have a hope in hell of matching Sinclair for pace and I am in no way surprised that Martin struggled against him at tiems on saturday, he isn''t the first and won''t be the last. In fact given the pace and skill of Sinclair I think Martin actually deserves a lot of credit that he didn''t allow him to create more chances. The biggest criticism I would have is that there were a couple of times where I think he was too afriad of being done on the outside and therefore showed him the inside channel which obviously allow Sinclair to drive in towards goal rather than having to go the long way round. Luckily our central defence and covering midfielders were able to deal with this threat (except for the penalty) but on another day it could and should have have cost us. But as I said above I think Martin had a decent game against one of the biggest attacking threats in the league and to be overly critical of him when we beat one of the best teams in the championship (at this early stage) and kept a clean sheet is totally counterproductive. With regard to the penalty and sinclair''s other second-half chance, both in my opinion were more the fault of Crofts and Smith being too far up the pitch than of a lack of pace in defence. If you look at the bbc coverage for both chances there are two or three Swansea players running at our defence without a midfielder within 10 yards of them, they were almost a carbon copies of Danny Graham''s first goal for Watford a couple of weeks back and it was the same for Sinclair''s. Any defence is going to struggle when you have a player of Sinclair''s pace running at you with no midfield cover as the attacker is always at an advantage becuae he has the defenders backpedalling, and very very few defenders in this league will have the pace to match someone like him. The key is to make sure our covering midfielders are doing their job (which they did for most of the game) to ensure that we have players tracking the runs in towards the box, given that this was Lambert''s job throughout his career I am absolutely confident that he will identify and deal with this problem. What these chances also demonstrate to me, is that there is so little room for error in this league that any positional mistake from any player in going to allow a talented attacker to exploit it and ultimately this will cost us goals and possibly points throughout the season. Unfortunately it is simply impossible to eliminate those kind of little errors from our game but ultimately i don''t think this will be too much of a problem, we''ve shown that once again we have the desire and fitness to keep on fighting for 90-95minutes every game and with Lambert in charge we will never ever give up trying to win games whatever the outlook, this will more than make up for any errors because it gives our player the ability and oppourtunity to atone for ay mistakes. This is probably the most important aspect of our game as it will enable us to exploit teams as they flag in the final 10 minutes and will win us a lot more points over the rest of the season, as it did last year.
 19.

i think this is an interesting point, Wiz. Holt blanked EEN on Saturday and now with the Lambert story maybe the club have taken a stance, until they apologise at least! However, the EDP and NCFC have previously had a good relationship and I think they are an excellent paper with lots of stats and articles. Hopefully the realtionship isnt ruined.
The Evening news has already printed an apology, as far as I am aware.
How much compo did City get?
Forty pence.
I heard it was 50p
Plus 100gs of fizzy cola bottles as a 2 year suspended fine if they do something to annoy the club again.
 20.
[ Martin and Holt were always going to be the starting pairing. Jackson has great pace which will be an asset. He needs to be patient and settle into the squad i am sure he will do well Erm..... no he hasn''t and no he won''t.  Sorry guys, but as much as I''d like to remain positive I think non league to Championship in a relatively short space of time is way to much for this guy.  How he''s worth Cody plus £600k is quite beyond me.  I''d have Cody in before him like a shot.  Speaking of shots, he''s been closer to the corner flag than the goal on at least 3 occasions so far, in fact, has he even troubled a goalkeeper yet?  His first touch is woeful, he can''t hit the target, he''s extremely lightweight i.e. he can''t hold off any defender, and his reputed pace is non existent.  Back to the minor leagues with you my boy! TAKE COVER!!!! You do realise that your argument re: non league to championship is just as applicable to Cody as it is to Jackson? in fact more so as cody has no proven record of scoring in the championship or league one either. ] Yes I do, that is why I said that it''s way too much for this guy, not every guy, and not Cody (imo)
Ok so you agree that your argument is flawed but continue to stick with it, fine. But what may i ask are you basing this opinion on? Cody''s move from non-league was quicker and he has a less impressive record than Jackson, despite being the same age as him. You''re not actually providing any further information to qualify your assertion and differentiate between the relative merits of the two men to substantiate why you feel Cody is the better player. As i said before everything you say is equally applicable to Cody as it is to Jackson, except for the fact that Jackson scored 18 goals last season leading the line in an extremely poor Gillingham team. Cody was not good enough, in Lamberts eyes, to displace Johnson on the bench or Martin in the starting line up for the entirety of last season and didn''t get much in the way of game time, therefore he continues to lag behind Jackson developmentally. As much as I admire Cody''s pace and work rate I just don''t think at this point in time he has the footballing brain to enable him to maximise his other attributes, hopefully the season on loan will provide a similar fillip to his career as Super Chris'' time at Luton did for him and ultimately we will benefit. Jackson has admittedly had a shaky start but I have faith in his record and his potential, he get''s himself into good positions, makes intelligent runs and will start to score goals very soon.
