1. Adams has been manager for 7 months now, had a whole pre-season and spent money in the transfer window. Yet the football hasn''t really improved. We''re not even attempting to play the classic Norwich passing game, just a rehash of the sort of stuff we had under Rioch, Worthington and Lambert. In short, we''re going absolutely nowhere.
 2. The goals scored total isn''t looking red hot any more. It''s the same as Huddersfield and slightly better than Reading and Fulham.
 3. The decision to give Adams a three year contract now looks extremely foolish. Unless there are get-out clauses then it looks like more money p!$$ed up the wall.
 4.
What''s worrying me is it sounds like the players didn''t really look up for the game? Hard to explain that sort of attitude in a team looking for promotion.
It looks like Adams is starting to lose the dressing room.
 5.

maybe consider stepping away from the keyboard then ? forums are normally a place where people express opinionswhether you agree with them or not
Don''t bother with him, he''s obviously some immature kid upset that his hero Adams is about to get the sack.
As for you… you''re a grade A c*nt and no mistake. My heros are none of your concern… besides you probably have no idea who Ted McDougall even is.You''re another that needs a hearty kick to the bollo*ks. A blight… that''s what you are. A blight.
To me you''re just a small kid with a keyboard who thinks it''s clever to go round making threats of violence via the internet. Aside from that I don''t consider you to be a true Norwich City fan if you want to excuse the bu11$h!t hoofball that''s being inflicted on us real fans.

 7. Totally agree that the people running the club are at the heart of the problem. Before the current regime took over we were well ahead of other teams, every player from youth upwards could slot into the first team and play passing football. Playing in Europe came naturally, beating Bayern and holding our own against Inter. After we became the plaything of a Z list celebrity and her prawn sandwich munching friends we find ourselves playing yet another season in the first division. And we''re playing the sort of football that we''d have turned our noses up at 20 years ago. Standards have slipped and now we''re miles behind other clubs.Just prior to the Bayern game Andreas Möller said we were the (English) team that didn''t play like an English team. Now we''re lost in a sea of English teams, playing like a typical English team.
 8.
You whining f*ckers.Grow a pair ffs… or meet me in the pub for a fight. You might win, you might not… but anything is better than your incessant whining on here. Does anyone remember the time when you weren''t guaranteed to win every game you ever played?Ooooh… big squad… ooooh should be walking the league… ooooh Scum are above us.Shut upWhiney little f*ckers. Is it good losing 27-1 to a promotion rival? Doubt it. But at least give it until the end of the season you milk-sopped little f*ckwits.Gah… I think I hate you and your occasional forays onto here
An unhappy happy clapper I presume?
 9. I think we''re weighed down not just by the tactics employed which have caused us to be hit by counterattacks, but also by the lack of technique. Regardless of tactics there''s a paradox whereby playing a technical game leads to worse performances in the short term as players adjust. A tactical game can of course be played without technique.Neil Adams has fallen down both on tactics and playing a direct game lacking in technique. The signs are that he''s tried to reverse both, but we''ll see if he continues to take this brave course or ends up chickening out.
 10. The main defensive problems have been tactical and to do with getting caught on the break whilst attacking very defensive sides. If we were able to attack teams which park the bus in a less risky way then the worst of our defensive lapses would disappear. To do that our midfield needs to be better at shooting and our close passing up front needs improving.
 11.

Even the crowd were subdued, but there wasn''t the sporadic booing that has accompanied previous home games. It was a formulaic Hughtonesque performance, a workaday performance against a poor Bolton side. This win does little more than buy Adams some more time in the job, a decent manager would have put the game to bed much earlier.
what the feck do you know bin boy ?you weren''t at the gamesomething tells me that you are that Waveney weirdo who hangs round here like some bycycle seat sniffer does at a bike rack
Something tells me you weren''t at the game if all you can do after a match is troll other posters. Anyway, I''m worried about the prospect of VOO and Hoolahan being out for the next few weeks, as we could be stretched during the busy Christmas period, especially if Howson or O''Neill get injured/suspended.We''ve had a taste of what happens when we don''t have O''Neill playing ie we lose a bit of solidity and cohesion. Until Howson''s recent return we''ve missed his ball carrying and penetrative passes up front, giving us something more than Hoolahan.I fear we''ve seen encouraging signs, at least a vast improvement upon recent horrid performances, but as with Hoofton are destined to return to the old failings when we play the better sides up until the new year.Even with the improved play and ending the wait for a home win, the first half was nothing to write home about and overall we made hard work of it in a flat atmosphere. Lose O''Neill or Howson and we would undoubtedly struggle.
 12.
I am plainly missing something here. After a season in which we got relegated, posters want a protest vote* against one non-executive director on the basis that he either he doesn''t bring much to discussions or we just don''t know whether he does or not, but not a protest vote against the CEO/executive director who is the football expert on the board?*To be clear, if my proxy forms ever arrive I will be voting to re-elect Fry and McNally.
McNally''s choice of Hoofton as manager doesn''t suggest much football expertise. He''s got his good points, but the fact that his Europe-wide search for a new manager resulted in the U18''s boss being appointed suggests that football expertise isn''t one of them.Time and again we hear that we can''t find anyone who wants the manager''s job, or we can only (seemingly) attract bog-standard candidates such as Mackay. But the truth is that similar sized Championship clubs such as Watford and Middlesborough don''t have the same trouble and manage to appoint more experienced candidates of a better calibre. To be fair, it can''t just be McNally to blame for the failings in our recruitment process, but the board as a whole. Regarding Fry, I seriously cannot see what he brings to the table or why he couldn''t have some sort of presidential role intead of being on the board. Someone with expertise of European football would be an obviously better choice.
 13. Middlesborough on Tuesday could prove to be something of a yardstick in terms of whether we''re good enough to make the playoffs. Apart from Cardiff we''ve not done too well on the road against the better sides. A run of these games going into the new year should give an idea of how good we really are.Poor results around Christmas could see us drop out of the race for the top two, and thereby see Adams come under further pressure.
 14.
There''s more chance of me being at CR than you,so stop bollocking on with your endless trolling.
Herman, I''ve never said you never go to Carrow road. You''d do well to adopt a live-and-let-live attitude instead of labeling all those you disagree with as trolls. Perhaps you could engage in a football discussion rather than blowing your top?I''m not against those watching at home on streams from commenting per se. It''s just a bit rich when starry-eyed stream-watchers mindlessly criticise someone who actually went to a match for expressing an opinion.
 15.
Maybe you should watch the games properly instead of spending your time on here fishing. We did enough to win the game comfortably, no more, no less.
If "watching the games properly" involves putting on rose-tinted glasses or looking the other way when we needlessly concede possession, then I''d have to concede that I''m doing something wrong when I go to matches. When I was at games witnessing first hand Hoofton scraping a win, you were undoubtedly at home "watching it properly" in front of a laptop screen and posting on here how there was no chance of relegation with such a managerial genius in charge.
 16. The trouble with a performance like last night''s is that people will start to get carried away like they did when we had similar wins under Hughton. By non-plastic standards last night would be considered below average, especially against a poor side like Bolton who gave us something of an easy ride. That the performance was noticeably better than recent games indicates how far we''ve fallen. We''re likely to continue to struggle if the players continue to show a lack of movement and end up hoofing the ball in frustration. The main bright spot was Howson playing some good through balls, it looked to me like we''d been working on this in training. But the rest was nothing to write home about and certainly not good enough if we want to finish in the top two.
 17.
I am also just back and the crowd was a long way from being subdued !!!! Noisy from start to finish ,,, and from different sections too for a change . Maybe you should try going to a game ,,, experience the atmosphere ,, nugget .
Maybe your hearing aid was turned up a bit loud, I can remember Carrow Road being a lot noisier last season.
 18.
Jerome was taken off to avoid any further damage to the gash on his knee and O''Neill was taken off to avoid a second yellow card. He''d just had a warning from the ref with Martin present too. You would expect the replacements to be able to see the game out wouldn''t you?
It''s understandable to sub O''Neill because who would replace him if he got red carded? Probably the same player who came on in his place tonight. Squadwise we''re strong in central defence, somewhat weaker in central midfield.
 19.
Point one) We did strengthen the midfield in the summer, which is how we have been able to replace the injured VOO with O''Neil.
It''s the weakness in midfield that has been a problem for several seasons and a significant factor behind our poor recent scoring record and that of last season. Two of our best midfielders were sold in the summer. VOO was meant to replace Fer. Snodgrass left and McGrandles arrived. Instead of getting in another midfielder we got in at least one too many central defenders. We now have six central defenders, plus a couple of players who could have filled in as needed.
Point two) The window is still open so we can now get players in if we want.
A bit of a pedantic point, but the window to buy players shut weeks ago.
Point three) We don''t have an endless supply of money to spend.
I never said we did. We could have at least got a midfielder instead of the one or two surplus central defenders. We for example lack a defensive playmaker, which would be a nice option to have.
Sory 1touch, what on earth are you talking about? We''ve still got 31 games to play. How have we missed out on the playoffs? By my reckoning we can still get automatic promotion.
I don''t think we''re showing the quality to finish in the top two, playoffs at best.
 21. Howson gives us the penetration we''ve lacked up front and showed tonight how much we''ve missed him. If we''d strengthened the midfield in the window then we might have stood a chance of making the playoffs.
 22. We''ve been no better than average against a poor Bolton side. Although we''ve played it on the floor quite a bit, we look mechanical and devoid of ideas.
 23. Impossible to have a football debate on here at the moment without things descending into a slanging match or being trolled. Our club is on course to go absolutely nowhere with the people who got us into this mess still firmly in charge. Such are the depths to which we have plumbed I think we can forget dreams of becoming an established Premier League club, winning cups or playing in Europe. We are far more likely to get relegated to League One again.
 24.
All that''s true too Greeno. But even so called sensible supporters have me in stitches too. Youtalk about where we were in 2009 and iI think back to St Andrews Hall and some of the stuff we said at that meeting. Definitely has me in stitches now. But looking back there were no decent suggestiins for moving the club forward. Just a load of letting off steam looking back. The best minds that the independent supporters group could put together came up with nothing. While this was going on the owners were hard at work appointing McNally and persuading Bowkett to come on board.
I don''t see that this ultimately was a success. All that has happened is that Delia and Michael have gone through their media luvvie contact list, pleading for help to dig themselves out of a giant self-inflicted mess. We got in more of the owners'' prawn sandwich munching chums, but none of the football people required to stop the descent. The end result was Hoofton, then sacking him for a radio commentator who is no better and then relegation.
