  1. We make a few thousand £''s more by cutting prices, and that''s only if we completely sell out, I mean cutting it by £2/3 won''t encourage any fans, it needs to be atleast £5, and then we''ll always be short anyway, I can''t remember the last time a game has ever been completely sold out, probably Ipswich, and my mate managed to get a ticket on the door on the Sunday, so there are always a cheeky few going spare.
  2. Right well if we''re 3000 seats short? (ish) We''ll call it 20,000 season tickets for arguments sake. We then have 7,000 left to sell right. Away fans- 1000 750 Adults at £30- £22500 250 Kids at £15- £3750 That''s 6,000 left for casual fans. Currently we''re selling somewhere between 3-4000. For argument sake we''ll call it 3500 2625 Adult Tickets £30 - £78750 875 Kids- £15- £13125 £118,125 If we cut ticket price and fill the other 2,500 Tickets at £20 and £10 at the same ratio of 3:1 (Adults:Kids) Kids 1750- £17,500 Adults- 5250- £105,000 By my quick maths session, you can see that by cutting prices by a third, which I suppose is an acceptable amount, the amount of profit generated is on par, considering policing, stewarding, extra staff etc etc. It''s just not worth cutting prices, who cares if we fill the stadium, we all know that if Norwich are challenging the top half of the table this season we''ll sell out at £30 quid or whatever, so stop complaining and lets enjoy playing some good footballing teams, the quality of football has increased no end, so why shouldn''t the price.
  3. For me on Saturday Korey was MOM, I know other people made telling contributions, such as Ward or Ruddy, but up until 80 minutes, everyone in my mind apart from Korey was average, no-one played very well. Swansea deserved atleast a point. Korey however never gave up, showed passion and spirit, boiled over and gave away a couple of silly fouls, but he really cares about Norwich, not many you can say that about.
  4. Stick with last seasons tried and trusted formation, or think he''ll revert to a more defensive 442? With the big investment in midfield it makes me think he''s looking toward a 442. Which is fair enough, the clubs we''ll come up against this season will have much more about them, then some of the poorer clubs last season.
  5. My team would have to be: Ruddy Martin Nelson Askou Drury Surman Hoolahan Crofts Martin Holt(if fit- if not squeeze Fox into the middle) Jackson 4-3-3, or 4-4-2 if Holt isn''t available Easy 2-0/3-1, can''t see us slipping up against Watford unless we play very poorly.
  6. That''s the thing, those thugs well just be escorted out the door and that''s it. Nazi salutes are horrid, no matter the circumstances and should result in a season ban, not they will probably show their scummy little faces again unless we draw a minnow in the cup and tickets go on the cheap again like Brentford last season.
  7. I know this is a bit, presumptuous. However, it''s still a bit worrying, I''m not passing judgement, just intrigued into what his game is all about and wether he is at peak fitness..
  8. Will be encouraged to use his right more I''d imagine with Hoolahan and McNamee both completely left footed. Could pick out a pass with both and clearly trusts himself, doesn''t have to wiggle himself into a left footed position fortunaltey like Hoolahan often does
  9. Unfit? Looked reasonably sharp with ball at feet, when he came back to collect or ball was passed straight to him he looked good until the shot. However this is clearly Chris Martin''s role, and the other players began to look frustrated at Jackson''s lack of vision at times. Not afraid of a shot however which is always a good sign, no matter how many times he shanked it kept having a go. What worries me however is being made to look slow by Slyvain Distin, quick of course, but compared to some of the whippersnappers in the Championship surely Distin is reasonably slow. Is it just lack of fitness or is that Simeon Jackson all over?
  10. The guy that was singing it, was an utter disgrace, embarrassment. He was on his own apart from the few that just attend friendlies just to give abuse to the away fans and was throughout the second half singing unfunny ''Jerry'' chants, the majority of the time on his own.
  11. "play" Really, you make it sound like it''s a musical instrument. It''s like taking an air horn to the football. I hope that it doesn''t become a regular fixture at Carra Road and the fans berate anyone using one.
  12. ... just watching Keano squirm is fantastic. It might have been copied before, but I scanned down and couldn''t see anything. After a 5-1 win we thought it couldn''t get much better! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/i/ipswich_town/8289291.stm
  13. ncfcstar no-one stands in the river end lets be honest!
  14. I''m glad fans have started to come round to him, one good performance can go a long way to healing the unnecessary dislike Wes has come across this season.
  15. I agree about him "wanting to do too much". He''s almost trying TOO hard to impress, which is hardly a bad thing. As soon as he knows fans are on his side he''ll settle more into a game which suits him. Which as shown yesterday is hopefully sitting just behind Grant Holt, where we debatably deserved all 3 points against the league pacesetters.
  16. I''m really glad Hoolahan has staked a claim for a permanent position and hopefully he''ll be given it, playing just below Holt which is his position as a playmaker (as opposed to a left winger, which he isn''t half bad at). I''m also glad he''s shut up some of the boo boys on this forum who don''t rate him for whatever reason, when he is undoubtably one who can create goals unlike any other we currently have. I''m delighted he hit form today, and looked genuinely pleased when he scored!
  17. I don''t understand people leaving early from Carrow Road, traffic isn''t particularly bad ever! If you support Man Utd/Chelsea I can understand leaving early, but waiting to the final whistle at Carrow Road whilst we were putting them under constant pressure wouldn''t make much difference to any journey time. It is deserved, same with people that leave 40+ minutes to go and fill their faces. I hope we score all our goals 40-45+ minutes and 85-90+ when we really need the support of ALL the crowd.
  18. Paul Lambert obviously sees something in him to be playing him in the first team specially when we have more experienced players available... Jamie Whaley McVeigh to name just a few. He will be offered a new contract no doubt.
  19. I want to see video of aforementioned moment as it sounds very amusing.
  20. Had touching cloth actually seen a Norwich match this season he may realise that HoolAhan is actually a better player than Whaley, also the fact they play in different position doesn''t really help his case, as the comparison should be with our current and only (?) left winger Simon Lappin. Who are both completely different players so still the comparison is hard to make as HoolAhan''s best position would be sitting just off Grant Holt.
  21. Tu-dor Jones When the crowd scream sheep ERECTION Nothing like a little light hearted racism, fortunately I am Welsh so can roll with the jibes. He was blue and white Who gives a shite Paul Lamb-ert Paul Lamb-ert
  22. He wasn''t sitting in directors box, as I saw him coming out of Jarrold Stand after the match. So that puts that one to bed.
  23. On the Ball City makes a whole load of sense in todays modern game I assume? Why not just either improve the original suggestion, suggest a better or leave the thread alone? Instead of cutting the suggestion straight down?
