It''s always the same, all or nothing. If we win, we''re going to the promised land; the Premier League. If we lose, even if it''s close and undeserved, it needs to be changed around, or we''ll get relegated. Some of us, are embarrassingly so fickle. -
Whoever the hell Keith is? I think it was Keith. Saying that Grant Holt should be dropped? He''s out Captain and puts 100% in even when he isn''t having a good game and today I thought he did reasonably well. We deserved to win the game, just didn''t take our chances. We''re 6th in the League, we certainly don''t need to change anything. Please think before speaking on Canary Call, the vast majority are complete tools.

Agreed, it was good and at first not many knew what it was, but it soon started to spread little by little. Also creating original chants are nearly impossible, none have caught on that are original in years? They often copy tunes from other clubs, but this one that I think can catch on. -
I work on checkouts and am on about 6.40 something as a flexi worker at Tesco before I head back to University.

Will definitely be able to get tickets in the home end as a last resort?
-
£5 a ticket is an offer I can''t refuse, however, how many are actually going? Does anyone have any idea? It is quite a long way, struggle to do it in just a day.

"It must be a nightmare being a footballer and never having any privacy." He is getting paid thousands a month to be a revered professional, a lot of people would do anything for his job. To be occasionally spoken about is a very small price to pay, if we were supporting a top of the Premier League club, I''d be inclined to agree with you, but a mid table Championship side get no real coverage, just an interest in our players lifes. I think that the tabloids do take their coverage far too far, but I think it''ll be a while before EDP reporters camp outside the players homes. -

Money was far too good to turn down, and went a long way to getting us Surman I''d imagine, very happy however might have been a different story had Roeder got in a good replacement, were never strong that season after Stefanovic got injured early on with Kennedy. -
It''s not something that I can give my full attention to, to read the paper or something during is fine. However to only be watching it, fully concentrated like the Football is a completely different matter.

One minute silence
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to barclaybabe's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I''m not saying it''s the right idea to have a silence, wether I said that earlier in the thread or not I''m not entirely sure. I am not condoning American behaviour and to be honest I don''t know enough to comment and hold a good discussion, my only point is not to belittle those who hold an opinion or merely ask a question on wether it''d be right. For one our link to America is much stronger than to the other brutalities that have been muted throughout this thread. It''s standard Pinkun, either reaction is average or posters are all too quick to get on someones back. The OP was only suggesting it, that''s all... -

Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to barclaybabe's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
John if you''re going to quote me quote the important bit.... "generally" instead of highlighting just some of it "generally I''d say Americans were killing the right people, " GENERALLY being the important part. I''m not saying the war was right or anything, all I''m saying there is nothing wrong with paying respects to the dead, especially those killed in seemingly cold blood. The vast majority of posts have been anti minutes of silence, and personally I don''t see the problem at all. -

Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to barclaybabe's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I''m shocked by the reaction from this messageboard, I agree it isn''t really in keeping with Football, but it was a horrific tragedy and deserves a little respect. The vast majority are belittling it, wether the American''s provoked it or not is besides the point, Iraq were becoming a threat to American and English security and generally I''d say Americans were killing the right people, with the right intentions instead of bombing towers full of innocent people. Have some F-ing respect, wether or not you agree with the OP is besides the point, peoples life''s were destroyed. -
City fans at Forest
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to dylanisabaddog's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Agreed, why the thread starter tries to bait fans is beyond me, but on this occasion I have taken the bait. How dare he blame the "morons" for the scrap, there is a big difference from what happens inside a football ground and purposely beating the shi+ out of someone for generally insulting their club.... You''re a Norwich City fan, if you don''t agree with it, you don''t have to say anything just pipe down. Would be saying the same, if he''d been punched in the face and brain damaged? Or more seriously hurt, probably not and that could all have happened from just one punch. Don''t even try and make it sound ok, as home fans we''ve had plenty of abuse before, but I haven''t heard of on occasion when one fan has been singled out by 6 of us. Keep your opinions to yourself on this one. -
"might be worth a look at for rudd and steer to learn from DeMerit may be worth a look as cover at CB. Barry Hales maybe as a back up for Holt? His wages wont be Huge and he will win his fair share of headers and maybe score 1 or 2. Franny Jeffers would be good with hooly, as a Sheff Weds fan told my dad he was very clever runner but didn''t have anyone to supply to him.." Are you actually being serious? These are ridiculous, signing Barry Hayles, he is near retirement and can''t get work at League 2 level. Russel Hoult, must be over 40 and Francis Jeffers isn''t good enough for a Sheff Wednesday side that got relegated because they couldn''t score many goals. The only one I''d be happy with is DeMerit and is certainly far too good to be sitting on the bench and his wages will be big as well, I''d much rather have small name players on smaller wages. As he played 4 world cup games he can command a good wage packet.

and Alan Lee, he wasn''t awful.

Forest match report www.dh6.co.uk
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to hucks@dh6.co.uk's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Great report Hucks, fully deserved 3 points, but after the 3 undeserved last week we''d be riding our luck had we taken another 3 this week. Chris Martin going from strength to strength, hopefully he can keep it up however if not Jackson will be hungry for action. Lambert playing everything very well so far, so qualms at all. -
Seems very harsh on Askou, in my opinion one of the best Centre Halfs we''ve got, better than Nelson. Reasonably quick, reads the game well and isn''t afraid to play the ball out from the back, very good on his left peg so slots in nicely and allows Drury to move onward. However Lambo must have his reasons and as much as I am loyal to the players we have why not sign match hungry players. If we are to challenge the top half of the league we need to sign the best players and prevent other teams from having them. If he is to be signed I''d imagine there would be a certain percentage of matches he''d need to be involved in because other Championship clubs would be starting him week in week out so for us to put together a good bid Mancini would need reassurance he''d be playing games.

Disgraceful Journalism
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to Captain Holt's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Read something the other day on BBC Sport about David Marshall Norwich Goalkeeper to do with the Scotland squad. It''s minor details, employ someone who gives two hoots about football and they''ll iron out the creases. -

Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to ur just a man in a jacket's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Agreed, never got a chance but always seemed willing and able waiting in the wings and deserves a good crack, nice to see him playing well and getting called up to international squad, hopefully he''ll be able to displace Marshall from that team atleast. -

Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to Syteanric's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
To find both a quality man off and on the field is something of a rarity and for someone of undeniable quality through the rest of his career, to hit his heyday''s at Carrow Road and almost single handedly carry the team is something that won''t be repeated for a long time at Norwich, let alone other clubs. To find a one player team is something of a rarity these days. Grant Holt is in the same mould, but just not of the same quality, no offence to the big man. However looking back in 5 years, if Grant fires us up to the Premier League I''m sure we''ll hold him in the same regard. -
If we go up this season..?
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to Lewie - Holt Our Saviour's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Why not just add quality over the summer? (If we went up). People have very short memories, I remember Hull coming to Carrow Road, drawing 1-1 and they were behind us in the table, think it was a Tuesday night, Fraizer Campbell scored for them a break away goal. (February maybe?) and we only stayed up the penultimate weekend, the line is very fine in the Championship. They went up and they were a crap team, and didn''t really deserve it but stayed up because they signed quality players, but last season got player who were just picking up a pay cheque, if you''re good with the money you have you can build a solid base. Which is what Blackpool are trying to achieve and good on them, not spending beyond on their means, that deserves recognition. I''m glad Hull are sinking, shouldn''t have got ahead of themselves and signed £40,000 a week players, who are currently rotting in their reserves. -
Cureton Gets a New Team
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to I am a Banana's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Why do you have to moan at Jamie? He was one of the most committed players we have had in years, and yes he was past his best last year but he still scored a handful of important goals. He was our top scorer not too many seasons ago and always gave everything for the cause. Instead of lambasting players who cared for the club and moaning at ex players and even current players for nothing do something more constructive. I wish him all the best personally, he was a great guy as well. Instead of jumping on people''s back which is standard for this forum, such as the beginning of last season I remember when Doherty and Wes were getting the brunt of abuse and somehow Wes has become a fans favourite, as a club fanbase we need to stop being so fickle.
