Why is Morison number 5?
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to LeJuge's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Can''t believe no-one mentioned former World Cup Winner, Champions League winner http://zidanen.free.fr/zidane7.jpg Zidane wore number 5 and he wasn''t half bad... -
The best goal you ever scored?
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to mikewalker's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I''ve been waiting for a topic like this- I was 17 and playing for the mighty Bawdeswell- think it was a cup game. First season of mens football and often got pushed about for being 6"6'' and obviously the youngest of the group. Was putting on a fine show at right back away in the cup, had already set up our first. For some reason I hadn''t gone up for the corner and was on the half way line, the corner was taken short with nothing on a man quickly approaching I pulled into the right midfield spot, screaming for the ball and hoping to swing the ball in about 5-10 yards over the half way line right on the touchline, the ball came back to me. Took a touch, rolled it slightly forward and saw the keeper off his line. I''ve been known to spank a few from range, but nothing like this, everyone in the box calling for it. But I''d seen the keeper off his line, I thought if I could just hit the target it''d be in, it sailed over the keepers head and the defenders on the line and into the top left corner. I went absolutely beserk celebrating- it has been my first and last goal in mens or University football and a feeling I''ll never recreate. Just makes me think, imagine the buzz scoring at Carrow Road in front of 27,000. I even got fined for my celebration regarding how bad it actually was... -
kit size confusion
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to delboycanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
By the looks of it he''s from Gloucestershire. So to travel to the club shop just to get his kid to try on a shirt seems a bit of a hassle- but phoning and asking is probably quite sensible. -
Lambert will sell more players
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to Row D Seat 7's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Holt and Wilbraham are very much a similar player. We''d be silly to let Wilbraham go- (unless an offer comes up-)he won''t be on much money but could be vital if Holt gets injured- good player to hold up the ball, head the ball down. Bit slower- reads the game well. I think for the 5 apps he might make in the Premiership he could secure us 1/2 points which could well make all the difference towards the end of the season. -
Player having medical
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to Morisons Prozac's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Be nice to get Johnson signed and sealed, I feel he could be a brilliant addition. Not content to sit on the bench and pick up wages, used to starting with Leeds. Will want the same with us now. -
The Top 5 City Goals Fillum 2010/2011
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to Carra Rud's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Brilliant video. Appreciated. Whetted my appetite to buy the season review. As soon as I get paid on Friday- down Carrow Road. -
I''m quite interested to know what we''re paying our players on a weekly basis. Now G.Holt has signed a new deal reasonably recently I would imagine he''s the highest paid, followed by Surman, Hooly, Ruddy. But does anyone have any specific numbers on what they''re taking home a week? Can''t be much more than £20,000 after the promotion wage bump.

Morison goal compilation
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to mississauga_canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Wasn''t excited by this signing AT ALL. Until I saw this video- great eye for goal. Vision is incredible and afraid to have a go. Something we might lack at the moment apart from Wes. Someone who likes to shoot on sight. We need to get as many efforts on goal as possible in the Premier League. Some of these efforts are just riciulous. One at home to Ipswich, the curling one from 25 yards against Derby and then the one at home to Sunthorpe- all brilliant goals. Very excited now. Thanks OP for the Great Video! -
Do you reckon our players will be tall enough?
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to Walphy's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
To be fair I''m 6 ft 7. So I''d be happy to throw my name into the ring as an impact sub when we''re 2-1 down and need to hoof the ball up front...? -
Not sure how I feel about this. He has experience and would potentially take a wage cut. But if we get relegated we can;t afford anyone that''s on anywhere between 25-30,000 a week. It''d cripple us and stop us buying anyone if people did leave. Also, who would want to buy a 33 year old Jimmy Bullard off us?

Mark Bright - Twitter
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to When Saturday Comes's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
He''s an idiot. Absolute fool. I''m not exactly sure what the tweet was, but as a club, I have NEVER heard racist chanting or even one guy in the stands making any kind of statement. To do this on twitter is embarrassing for him, he has said he isn''t ''working'' but anyone on television such as himself is a brand and he is selling himself really poorly. Whats worse is this one racist chap is giving NCFC and our fans a bad name, unfortunately. -
Can people please just stop pulling ridiculous facts out the air. Why can''t McNally just give us a date? I don''t understand what difference that would actually make?
-
Just wondering if anyone had any info on when it could be possibly released? I was in NZ/Aus for half the season and have missed some the games and would love to relive the full season in glorious HD (I wish) at home. Also, will be pretty standard or will there be extras, I''d like to see some behind the scenes stuff. Didn''t get the Ipswich DVD- any extras on that?
-
Ashton does, but I thought Shackell plays for Barnsley?
-
Agreed Mr Bump- Premier League lettering, not every year that happens. I prefer flair players, that no-one else really gets. Got Cureton & fancied Lappin this season but never got round to it.
-
End of this week or next I''d imagine. Needs to be released reasonably soon though to get the maximum profit out of it.

chants for the new season

Can you resend the link Young Canary, that doesn''t link to anything... -
Historically though at virtually every club that I can think of the rowdiest support is behind goals. It''s just the way it works, unfortunate for us we''ve just got the Barclay and Snakepit and the N&P doesn''t join in. We''re also very much a family club, but it''d be nice to create more noise regardless, it''s very enclosed and it''d make for a particularly intimidating atmosphere for opposing teams. Potentially creating 1,2,3 extra points and that could be all the difference within the Premier League.

Middlesborough Fire Sale!
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to norfolkbroadslim's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Who is the aussie left back for them who played against Cardiff, black hair. Put in a right shift, I''d fancy him as centre half cover. Think Bolton might be in for him, he looked very impressive. -
Season Awards. A quick 10
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to can u sit down please's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
POTS: Grant Holt Fave match: Derby at home- Incredible atmosphere after we scored the third- just erupted Best Goal: Hoolahan at home to Leicester. Best opponents: Swansea, or Forest at home, thought they deserved something from the game. Best opposing Fans: Moment you thought we are good enough to do it: Following the Leicester game thought we were in with a shout. Lowest Points: Swansea away, thought that might be it and we''d have to settle for playoffs. Best opposing player: Not too sure- potentially Gradel. Unsung Hero: Fox I think, wasn''t playing start of the season but now just sprays the ball about the pitch with such accuracy. Sum Paul Lambert in 3 words: God in Tracksuit. -
New Shirt, anyone have any news?
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to Viva_Marc_Libbra's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Not before Cov at home? But shortly after? It seems awfully late to not even have a proper announcement. -
I realise this has probably been done before but had a quick scan and can''t see a thread so don''t slaughter me Forum Police. But I don''t think it''ll sink in properly until I can get Premier League lettering on my Norwich shirt, and would LOVE to see what the new kit looks like. Saw the link below and could the Norwich shirt be of a similar cut? Could be nice the away kit but with Yellow & Green obviously? Personally I think this seasons is cracking and would quite like to keep it on. http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/woking-fc-home-and-away-kits-201112-and-errea-3-year-deal_11137 S

Rohan Ricketts trial
Viva_Marc_Libbra replied to CanaryOne's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I hope it''s wrong, but it would mean that Hughes and Gill will be shown the door which is only a positive. Get them off the wage bill. More for Lambo to play with.
