1. It pains me to say it, but your board need to see how Leicester did it.When Forest were in League One we had to many billy big bollocks players who thought they were the business (and I include Kriss Commons amongst that). Build up a few gutsy results and get some self belief with players who will graft and also have that bit of extra skill and vision and then teams will fear you and try to shut you out as opposed to go for the jugular.I bet when Leicester visited places after Christmas they were feared and teams were happy to go for a draw, To me thats is half the battle in League One.
 2.
I''ve always had a soft spot for Norwich.I''ll be knocking on 40 next year, and ever since the fashanu wonder-goal against the scousers in 1980, Norwich have been a club i''ve always had time for. Maybe its because - aside from our 3 seasons of massive over-achievement in the late seventies - they have often reminded me of my own club - a medium sized provincial club renowned for playing attractive football on the ground, unlikely to win the league but the odd good season now and then, a wembley appearance or two, and a brief flirtation with Europe. Maybe its because I never felt under threat at Carrow Road wearing my forest shirt, or it was never a siege war when Norwich came to the city ground, just nine times out of ten a bloody good game. Whatever the reason, I remember fondly the generous 6-2 5-0 and 1-0 you allowed us in 90/91, or the good natured banter in the 0-0 at Carrow road the following season ("whats it like to plough a field?" "real fun real fun real fun"), and joining in the "Alan Hansen, what a wanker" chants as you turned us over 3-0 at our place in Cloughie''s sad final season - he was right of course, you were never going to win the league, but a wanker he was, second only to John Aldridge - the Jade Goody of the Hillsborough tragedy, and the enemy of my enemy is my friend.Fast forward to April 27th 2009 9.55pm, and im punching the air as Norwich''s defeat at home to Reading means Forest are safe from relegation - finally some good news in this miserable season of ...well...misery. A satisfying look at the bottom of the Championship confirms our safety, and then it hits me - Norwich are as good as down. This club that reminds me so much of my own is treading the same path we did 4 years ago. Relegation to the third division, sorry, division one , or whatever its called this week. Its with heavy heart that I celebrate our safety, knowing the cost at which it came. Yes I know Norwich aren''t down yet, a win next sunday and a defeat for barnsley will save the canaries, but even the most optimistic must admit the end is looking pretty damn nigh. Division one is no picnic - Leicester aside, teams that go down there rarely bounce straight back, there isnt the gap that exists between prem and CCC, you have to improve to go back up, stagnate or sell players and you''ll end up like Huddersfield.I''ll be praying for a miracle this weekend, but should one fail to materialize, I hope good times return to Carrow Road soon.
I second that.Prefer Norwich to stay up any day over Barnsley (I think most Forest Fans would tbh)
 3.
Police advice:The game between Blackpool and Nottingham Forest on April 25th has seen its kick off time brought forward. The Championship fixture was originally a 3pm kick off, but has now moved to 12:30pm. The kick off time has been moved on police advise after trouble between the two sets of supporters in recent games. A group of Forest fans infamously trashed the Swift Hound in 2006 and have only been back once since then - which was a night game.
A few fans got hurt that day, apparently it wasn''t nice at all after the game. At that time Forest were seen as a big scalp in the 1st Division (on and off the pitch), it was a mix of locals wanting to make a name for themselves and a few idiot Forest Fans wanting to re-create the 1970''s.I''ve only visited Blackpool once (and that wasn''t football related), even then it was a nightmare for violence. God knows what its like when a high pressure football match is taking place.
 4. Derby would be nice. The Derby fans I work with say they were awful last night, if (and it is a huge if) they lose at home to Charlton on Saturday their confidence could be shot for the last game at Watford.
 5. The problem is every ground you visit, the opposition tend to play above themselves and battle for every 50-50. I also think the standard of refereeing is awful. It takes a certain type of team to get out 1st time and Forest did it 3rd time of asking by skin of teeth last season (relying on Leeds 15 point deduction in the end). Some teams come out of it stronger I think but the danger can be that you change from being a Prem/Championship yo yo team to a Championship/Div One yo yo team which is a position Forest currently find themselves in.Anyway, here''s praying its Barnsley for the drop
 6.

http://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10308~1629431,00.html
Seems like they are playing Fergy type mind games with us.
or a cynical ploy to sell more tickets for Saturday''s match
 7.
With the exception of Earnshaw and at a pinch Blackstock, i see less quality in the Forest side (no offence to the Forest fan who posted this!).
Oh believe me you are not far off with that statement. Forest can be a dire side to watch and the only thing in our favour is Billy Davies produces teams that can roll their sleeves up and battle. On his day Lewis McGugan can show flair, but only when he can be bothered.
 8. Talk about tight at the bottom. Just wondering what your thoughts were?.I''m hoping (obviously) that it won''t be Forest and also yourselves. I spend alot of time  in Norfolk up on the coast at Happisburgh and also deal alot with the lads at Norwich Airport who do the aircraft maintenance at KLM Engineering. So have a fair amount of affection for Norwich.I think Southampton could be a surprise package and cause a few fluters as they seem to be hitting a bit of form.My heart says it will be Barnsley but tbh in my head I reckon Forest could blow it. Our 3 remaining fixtures don''t look too bad but at this stage of the season anything can happen.
