One of the most dreadful games of football I''ve seen in a long time. You could tell the players weren''t going in full blooded and rightly so. Hoolahan was good once he got going, Morison didn''t do a lot, Naughton looked handy. Really can''t be too judgemental on these games though.

I hate myself for wanting one of these.

I don''t think it will be in Lambert''s mindset at all to ever play a ''weakened'' XI. Sure, there''ll be squad rotation etc but can''t see him sacrificing any game, even though Holloway and McCarthy''s theory does make sense. Good rule change, was ridiculous that clubs were getting fined for playing players from their submitted 25 man squads.

Just remembered that Blackpool did it last year at Villa as Holloway thought they had a better chance of beating someone else (Wolves?) on the Saturday. Can''t see Lambert having that train of thought though?

Good job. Hopefully we won''t ever play our weakened team (can''t see why we would?) This could go for or against us though, depending on what teams the big boys put out towards the end of the season and who against. I would also add that no matter who we play, they will never be ''weak''.
