1. I personally try to avoid getting in to slanging matches (at least online) LDC but you seem to be able to give as well as you get?
 2. And yet on another thread started by Morty about a ''meet up'' you replied to him telling you to shut up by saying - No I won''t shut up. You think you are the bees knees on this board whereas in truth you are a self serving arrogant * who likes to laugh at other people''s expense but can''t take a joke when it is directed at him. My post was supposed to be funny. But then something is only funny if Morty thinks its funny isn''t it? Silly me.
 3. I think there are a couple of Pilkington brothers who live in Norwich who are quite well known locally for writing and performing comedy, I think they are City supporters and used to/still do post on here.
 4. I usually think he''s ventured onto the wrong message board!
 5. Ashton feigned injury did he Zema, I seem to remember Worthy offering to show us the scans, mind you your team still are struggling in the Championship aren''t they?
 6. There goes howton, praising the opposition players again gggrrrrrr!
 7.
As someone who grew up with the city sides of the 80''s & 90''s I got used to a steady flow of youth team players coming through the ranks. Most were sold for huge sums such as Gordon, Fox, Sutton, Eadie, O''Neill, Johnson, Green & Bellamy. There were others such as Marshall, Kenton & Llewellyn who provided good service before moving on. As we have debated many times on here, the last 5-10 years have been a lean period. Even so Chrissy Martin & Korey Smith played key roles in getting us from L1 to the prem & have generated a few loan fees for us even if we don''t get a final transfer fee for them. What we need from each batch of youth players is 2 or 3 who make it to the 1st team squad & maybe 1 every couple of years who really makes it. Hopefully the current U18 squad will produce a few for the first team in the next year or so.
Bear in mind though that those players were products of the youth system over a period of nearly 15 years, yes there have been lean times recently but in those days I don''t think we had the 90 minute rule as Eadie was from Bristol, Bellers from Cardiff, O''Neill from Eire and Johnson from up north somewhere? even Green is from Surrey I think which I would guess may be outside the 90 minute rule unless you drive like a loony. So you would hope as pointed out elsewhere that we will now be able to recruit genuine top class talent from outside the area as well as any local gem that we can discover.
 8. Luckily no one would let their blind hatred of the Manager of our club influence their opinion in a rational debate.
 9.
Pretty sure someone said that if we stayed up and he played more than 25 games then we had to buy him at a pre agreed fee as a condition of the loan.
Only if he wants to come I believe.
 10.
This stinks of people finding things to have a good old moan about. Lambert "bigged" up the opposition every week, every f*****g manager does it, read Steve Clarkes pre match interview and he bigs us up. I actually think some of you are either very stupid or spoilt brats.
either?
 11.

Mate, did we have the money to do this, it would seem we had enough to pay Kane''s presumably limited wages, and in January put a down payment on RVW and buy Becchio (but with Morison as a make weight) and not much else, unless you know different?
Pretty sure McNally has stated on Twitter that RVW was signed from this seasons budget.
I wasn''t aware of that but does that mean just the down payment or the whole lot?, you can never tell these days with all the spin that gets put on things! In that case I''ll accept it on face value, but if we had all that money I''m even more surprised that additonal strikers weren''t bought last summer, unless he just couldn''t find anyone available.
The whole lot as far as I''m aware. We obviously had money, but couldn''t get a player that Hughton felt would have been an improvement on what we had. See what happened in January with Hooper, not worth £8m in anyone''s book.
I agree, providing we stay up then we have a good transfer kitty for the summer, I look forward with excitement to see who we''re linked with.

 13. Meant to add that I think limited finances have lead to Hughton adding to the squad piecemeal in what he sees as his priorities, being an ex defender I guess defence would always come first. I am sincerely hoping (and praying) that more attack minded and better quality players will be added in the Summer and consequently our style will become more expansive.
 14.
Forgive the pun here, but Ron - you''re missing the obvious in what we''re saying. Nobody is advocating that we should have gone "gung-go, ba**s out, kamikaze attacking football", what we''re saying is that there was a balance available between how we played under PL and how CH has us setup now that would have been ideal, but instead Hughton missed the opportunity to go down that route. We DID need better defenders and we DID need to add more defensive play to our game, the contention is that this been focused on far too much, especially when you see how badly our attacking play has been removed in the process. All we really needed was to add the defensive element that we''ve brought in, along with a good midfield playmaker and a strong striker to compete with Holt, and we could have adopted a much more balanced approach that would have kept things tighter, but without sacrificing our entire attacking threat. Instead we didn''t sign the striker or midfield playmaker, we let Vaughan go out on loan who could have added more to the squad than Harry bloody Kane, and Hughton set us up in what may as well be a 6-3-1 whilst totally shackling all offensive play from our wingers and full backs! We are advocating BALANCE Ron, not keeping the same play as under PL which may have been too offensive this season, but BALANCE... 15. It''s ok though, apparently he''s now going to leave the Premier league for a new club....                       Borussia Munchonthecentreback   I''ll get my coat.
 16. Lucky guess! which was the first at Wembley, was that Hungary?
 17.

Completely OT but I didn''t want to start a new thread on it, what''s happened to Wiz, I''ve obviously missed something in the last couple of weeks?
He was counted out in the final ( ? ) round.
I''m not trying to stir anything up I have genuinely missed it! and ROI was my guess for Wembley, where did they beat us then?

 19.

That Kubala had a pretty phenomenal record for Barca. Strange how he isn''t so well known.
Herman, that is partly due to the insularity of the British press. Kubala is pretty well-known on the continent. But also he didn''t have much of an international career. If he had stayed in Hungary he might well have been part of that great team that beat England 6-3 at Wembley* and should have won the 1954 World Cup. And he played for Barcelona at a time when they were overshadowed by Real Madrid and di Stefano. Real won the first five European cups and when Barcelona finally beat them they then lost to Benfica in the fnal. *That was NOT England''s first home defeat to a foreign country. Which country beat the Magyars to that honour?
USA, USA?
 20. No worries, I''m still struggling with Puskas'' compatriot though!
 21. And that was without recourse to wiki, I remember him from the 2010 world cup.
 22.
Had to Google the players who have represented 3 countries. I have come across another player, still playing club football, who has played for 3 different countries, while not actually changing nationalities like the other 2 players did. Any ideas?
Is it Stankovich, Yugoslavia, serbia & Montenegro and now Serbia?
 23. Don''t know what happened there should have been :-   Grant Holt''s 3 year contract said "Played a few games with him up top with WFL GH on FIFA. His shooting is a little off... but maybe that says more about my gaming ability!!   I think I will pretend to be him tomorrow night when I play 7 a side with my mates, I suspect he will be far too slow for the Premier League (or any other league for that matter) a bit fat, quite gobby but with an excellent grasp of anglo saxon swear words and his shooting will be a bit wayward, but other than that bargain!
