  1. I think that it is now a two horse race between us and Barnsley. I don’t think Southampton can string any results together and they have a fairly tough run in last two games. The absolutely key game is tomorrow – Barnsley away at Coventry.  This is the situation –   20 Nottm Forest 44 7 7 8 24 27 5 6 11 22 36 -17 49 21 Barnsley 43 8 6 8 27 23 4 5 12 14 32 -14 47 22 Norwich 44 9 5 8 35 26 3 5 14 20 38 -9 46 23 Southampton 44 4 9 9 21 27 6 5 11 22 37 -21 44 24 Charlton 43 5 7 9 27 34 2 7 13 19 35 -23 35    Norwich – Reading at home and Charlton away Barnsley – Coventry away (Tomorrow), Wolves at home, Plymouth away Forest – Blackpool away, Southampton at home Southampton – Burnley at home, Forest away   If they win then they pull 4 points away from us.  I think that Forest will be long safe as they have two easily winnable games and they are in form. Southampton have two really tough games coming up and are seriously rubbish. I think they will get max 1 point out of those two games. So really it seems to be down to us vs. Barnsley. I can’t see them getting too much against wolves at home. Even though wolves are promoted they will want to win the title and won’t roll over. Then they face Plymouth away which is by no means easy.  But it all comes down to tomorrow. If they win then we have to beat both reading and Charlton and rely on them not to get anything more than a point out of their last two games. If they lose then they are still only a point ahead with two tough games to play – it could go either way.

  3. Does anyone know if we can get tickets on the door tomorrow night? I assume so - i did last season and cant imagine they would sell out but thought I saw a post earlier saying they were very short of tickets in the away end. Any ideas on price? I remeber last season it was pretty expensive considering loftus road is a craphole. This fixture last year was possibly the worst of my life - QPR was terrible, we lost, spent about 20 minutes chanting ''grant out'' and someone was sick on me. good -

  6. Hi all, Been reading this forum for years now but finally thought I would bite the bullet and put some of my own thoughts down. Saturday was obviously ultimately a very disappoiting day. We let Bristol walk through our defence for the first and then a mistake from marshall gave them their second. We were very unlucky to lose the Doc before half time which then left us chasing the game. These things happen but it always seems to be when you need them least. A dodgy penalty decision and your captain sent off in the first half when your team are desperately trying to establish some momentum and need a win at home is the last thing you need. But it works both ways - beating Reading away with the ball bouncing off the ref for our winner when we are pushing for the title - it just seems the way things go. I think gunny will bounce back from this although Preston then Burnley are two tough games. The orignial point of this post however was to say how good I though Lee Croft was on Saturday and has been this season. He looked the most dangerous player on the pitch by a mile. He ran his heart out until he was subbed and ran the Bristol defence ragged on his own. He chased back as well - chasing their players up and down the line. You could see how knackered he was just before he was taken off - he just couldnt run any more. The real difference between Croft and the other players in our team is just how direct he is. When he gets the ball he runs straight towards goal. He doesnt look behind him for passes but runs straight at the defence and they panic. He is oozing confidence but cant do it all on his own. He probably isnt the most technically gifted or naturally talented player there is (Hoolohan has more natural talent I think) but his work rate is just a cut above the rest. I really hope we can hold onto him.
