1. If knowing that everytime the Doc goes up for a header or tries to tackle he fouls his opponent makes me a sad tw*t, then proud to say that I''m a sad tw*t and always have been! So is Neil Adams in that case! We now have 3 players in the spine of our team who can be relied upon to be either a) sent off - Russell and Lee or b) conceed a needless penalty - Doherty. Never mind the points Cureton got for Barnsley, what about the points that mistakes or brashness from these guys have/will cost us?   I would love these guys to do well and am not a player hater. They are the best we have but that doesn''t make them imune from criticism.
2.

it looked like that franck called alan lee a f--ck--- twat
He clearly said.."that''racist" I could tell I can lip read.
You can lip read in French?!
3. Have to agree completely with a1canary there. Unfortunately after the Stephen Lawrence murder and inquiry, the law defined a racist incident as being an incident which is perceived to be racist by the victim....which is just utter sloblocks. It gives anyone the right to call anyone who annoys them a racist. Also France is a lovely country, but to quote my Grandfather''s bit-on-the-side...."They''re all foriegn over there!" It''s full of French people.
4. Norwich born and (in)bred. Moved away 17 years ago and been living in Burnley ever since. I would say I support both teams making those two games a season quite interesting for me, but I must admit to always going in the Away stand at Turf Moor, but taking both scarves with me, if only for a safe journey home after the game! You have to admit that Burnley have really done us some favours in recent weeks, doing over Forest and Plymouth and holding the Binmen. Hopefully next year I won''t have to worry about them meeting one another as Burnley will be in the Premier League and Norwich will be in the Championship or League 1!
5. Interesting read. Thanks. It''s good to show some people that the players are actually human and capable of the same ''complex'' emotions that the fans demonstrate. It''s just a shame that anyone attempting to post anything worthy of note on this forum has to spend the next few days ducking accusations of lying, creative writing or being a binner. Sky Sprts News isn''t th only source of info re. football. I really enjoyed their 2 hour build up to the live draw from the Quarters today, followed by their 3 hour pundit-fest afterwards. Now THATS news!
6. Everybody wondered where Gunny was and what he was doing for the first hour of the meeting. Mumbles knew! Oh yes! Mumbles knew!
7. The sign as you get to Ipswich says "Welcome to Ipswich, Please speak slowly."
8. I just assumed that next season Gunn will step aside and Crook will step up to manager position. Isn''t that what will happen? Why else would Crook give up a permanent job and uproot his family to move halfway round the world for just 3 months? There has to be  a rider in his contract of some kind. Gunn, Crook and Butterworth just sound like characters from a Charles Dickens novel anyway. Add Polsten and Culverhouse and you have a whole costume drama.
9. Feel that I should just point out that I am Norwich born and bred. The problem is that many of the away fans are what I would call Warburtons. They have been inbred for many generations. Not all of them of course. Just the ones that are simply happy to have someone they have heard of ''off of the telly'' at their club.
10. So stand up. The rules are no standing whilst watching the game. If you have your backs turned, you are not watching the game.
11. Not sure if it was at Carrow or up here in Burnley, but a few seasons back pretty much half of the ground turned it''s back on the game at a designated time for a set number of minutes. It seemed to get the message through and it even got into the local press. They actually had to report a negative story about the club. Flyers before the game in certain pubs should gather support.
12.
There won''t be many left, so the wage bill should be cheap as chips [:)]
Next seasons club photo is arranged to be taken in the photo booth in Boots on St.Stephens at 2.30pm on 7th August!
13. That''s just the point. Season ticket holders did not have to notify the club that the DID want to renew for next season. They actually had to notify the club if they DIDN''T want to renew. I''m sure that some season ticket holders knew that, but its rather like asking the kids in the class to put their hands up if they are absent! It''s just that those normal, forgetful types didn''t remember to contact the club and found that they were one of 17000 people who unwittingly renewed for next year. This led to Mr Duncecaster seeing it as a massive endorsement of the current boards leadership. When in fact it was just Norfolk peoples inactiveness. If you are one of those who deliberately renewed your ticket I have nothing but respect and admiration for you.
14. Living in the North West I have had the ''pleasure'' of watching the Canaries as an away supporter and (no offence to anyone here) the type of away fan you get travelling up from Norwich tend to be, what we in education call, a little bit ''special''. Some even have the cranial scar implying the removal of vital brain tissue - I think its the bit that remembers to notify the club about not wanting to renew their season ticket, resulting in 17000 accidental renewels. That might explain ''Stuart'' on Canary call. I think I asked him for a light once and he started banging flints together.
15. Still got mine in the wardrobe. Got it as a 21st present. It has my name and 21 on the back. I was out having a family meal at The Eagle (I think) on Newmarket Road when they gave it to me and who should walk in but Rob Newman. Not for the first time, he ''hit the bar''. Im not 21 anymore...unless we are talking stones instead of years.
16. The difference in this new club photo is that it was taken by squeezing the entire squad into one of those passport photo booths in Boots!
17. On a recent visit to the city I was amazed at how many of the the NCFC calendars were in the bargain bin of Borders in the Chapplefield center. I nearly got one until I looked at the pics. It was like watching an episode of Dad''s Army. "He''s left, he''s left, he''s sold, he''s disappeared, who''s that?!"
18. Why is everyone who says anything even slightly critical a ''binner''? The OP makes a good point. Carrow Road is one of the quietest grounds in the league I''ve ever attended a game at. (I''ve been to most of the NW grounds. Old Trafford down to Fraser Eagle (Accrington). Apart from the rare post-goal celebrations and the odd (very short) outburst of OTBC from some fat bloke at the back which a few hundred around him half heartedly join in which usually dies out after 20 seconds or so there is very little to be heard. I must be a ''binner'' too.
19. Being a Canary who has lived in Burnley for the last 18 years, I can tell you that right now morale at the Turf is pretty low. They have few wins since Christmas (despite a decent cup run). Chris Eagles is unlikely to start, but might come on late - he has a mystery chest complaint that he is undergoing tests for. Without him supplying Patterson with through balls there isnt much left for Patterson but to run about looking enthusiastic. I don''t feel totally positive about a win, but if the players can take their chances and not let themselves down with stupidly conceeded free kicks or penalties it could finish 2-1 or 3-1 to the Canaries. What is more likely is an early goal for us, then a sending off (Doherty or Russell) and 70 mins of playing deep and holding on, but failing and losing 2-1 to a goal conceeded in injury time. I pasted this from a similar question in a similar thread earlier today. Im a lazy little northerner.

21. I''m only messing mate. No insult intended. I guess I mis-read your post too. Was it Roeder who wrote that book? How to lose friends and alienate people.
22. I''m more concerned for your geography if you think that Burnley is near Newcastle! Im an exiled Canary living (if you can call it that!) in Burnley. Reoder is disliked round here because of his stint as ass manager under Waddle. Waddle clearly couldn''t manage his own ass! Roeder is most famously remembered for stating that the Clarets star asset who wasn''t being given a run in the starting eleven (Glen Little) wasn''t fit to lace Waddles boots! Ever the diplomat.
23. A name that springs to mind is Dean (Donkey) Coney.   People can be so cruel!
