Haven’t seen the highlights yet but was at the game and again Idah showed he just doesn’t have the natural instinct to be a striker. There was the failure to get the cross when he slid in which I presume is being talked about above. But also another occasion where a great ball came across to the back post. It would have been a harder chance and Idah May not have reached the ball but he should’ve at least thrown his body at it. Any kind of contact and he might have scored but instead he use stood motionless and watched it go out of play. It really looked like he just couldn’t be bothered. I don’t think that is the case but he clearly doesn’t have the passion or determination to make the best of what attributes he does have.
the longer we preserve with him the lower down the league we will go. Hwang may be no better but I’d still play him ahead of Idah. But I’d also pick Rowe, Placheta or Fassnacht up top ahead of Idah (hell after yesterdays goal I’d even prefer Gibson!)

If you were there you would know. We played terrible. Totally defensive, time wasting, pointless passing around the back, poor control, mindless passing and no passion.
Coventry battered us and they weren’t even any good. We were very lucky to even get a draw.

Sadly never going to happen. We don’t have the balls to do that

Gunn Stacey Duffy Sara Rowe Sargent sadly I feel like these players are let down by the ones around them and also tactical incompetence
I agree, how uninspired must those players be when they look and see only options are players like Gibson, gibbs, springett, placheta and Idah.
None of those are anywhere good enough for a team with any hopes of play offs

Absolutely boring and pathetic showing by the team today.
Anger spilled over into the crowd when players came over. The players saw and pointed to fans fighting each other.
As a club we are in trouble and something really needs to change. Can’t believe how quickly and badly it’s taken apart since the farke championship days.
Very sad

As much as I believe he should have gone after the last Premier League relegation, the day he leaves should be marked as a sad one for the club and a definite end of a period of time which has seen some incredible times.
People seem to hate Webber but you make a good point. Those championship years under him and Farke were some of the best years I’ve had supporting Norwich (last 45 years).
Mistake the club made was sacking Farke rather than Webber. It was the rubbish players we bought that caused the issue and if we are to believe the reports it was Webber who decided on quantity rather than quality, a huge error.

I’m dreading it!
Live just outside coventry and most of my mates are coventry fans so it’s one of the biggest games of the season for me.
need to have the bragging rights!

I do think it's odd how reluctant Wagner is to play Gibbs. I think he is a real talent and would certainly have him as the sub to come on and replace Forshaw or Mclean in a game like Swansea.
His constant reluctance to play Gibbs seems even stranger given how much time he is giving to Springett who appears bang average to me and certainly not of the quality that Gibbs has previously shown.

All he needed to do was let it hit his head and it would of gone in....he just seems to have an unbelievable knack of nearly always doing the wrong thing.
Honestly we need to look at doing something different - Idah will never be a top player and Hwang has been but wont be with Norwich.
Wagner really needs to give the Man city youth guy a try or I would just push Rowe or even Placheta up top - does anyone really think they will do worse than Idah or Hwang at the moment? I feel we are going into each game with just 10 players.
I know goals conceded are due to defensive errors but it cant help their confidence knowing there is no point in playing it forward as the strikers arent good enough.

As an update she’s managed to find somewhere in North Walsham so hoping that’s an ok place?,
unfurnished though so going to cost me a packet getting her set up.

To be fair that’s exactly what a lot of people, including me! Said about Sargent in his first season!
The problem is we haven’t got time for Hwang to settle in and acclimatise. We need him up and running now

Good second half, probably better team and unlucky McLean or Duffy didn’t score.
I thought Gibson did decent tonight against team most regard as best in league.
we miss Sargent but think we’re a decent team who will be in play offs and could easily go up

Has Gibson been bad! I think he’s done ok! Can’t see why people always turn on him first

Negativity seems a bit ott to me, we’ve matched them until last 10 mins.
Poor by Fassnacht but he’s a quality player.
Need Sara to step up

Bit of a long shot but wondered if anyone can help with any advice.
My daughter has just qualified as a mid wife at UEA and is to stay in the area and work at St James Paget.
Like many young people she is struggling to find a decent place for reasonable money (on her own, NHS wages!). She hoped for something near Norwich (so easier for boyfriend to find work in the city) but right side to make travel to the hospital easier but really struggling.
Think she will now need to look more closer to Hospital (talking Yarmouth - but recent thread about there has terrified me!).
Anyone have any advice on where she could look? (or even better know of any where available!)

I’ve been quite a critic of Kenny in the past but this season he has been very good and yesterday was excellent

10 minutes ago, Jim Smith said:Agreed. Too early to write him off but I expected more energy from Hwang. On that evidence he’s not got Sargent’s workrate. I’d be tempted to try Rowe up there.
Not a bad idea, Idah certainly isn’t the answer and admittedly didn’t have long today but not impressed by hwang.
think we might need to push barnes up top and bring a faster or trickier player alongside.. poss Rowe or maybe Fassnacht (who I thought was very good today)
or is there a new youngster?

Funny that despite the intention of the OP my first thought was that defence looks terrible and would struggle in championship let alone premier league!
surprisingly made me think Webber had done a great job getting so much for a lot of them!- 1

All depends on if he scores! If he does great, should return with more confidence.
if it’s another 90 mins where he doesn’t score or really get involved or influence the game it will sadly be another reminder to him and us that he’s probably not good enough.

If we get anywhere near £20m for Omo I think that’sa great deal even if we’re don’t have a replacement!

I think you are failing to recognise that players do have a say in it as well!
I suspect we were interested in a loan or may be purchase but reality is Leicester could probably offer Everton more money and just as importantly offer the player more wages and a more likely return to the premier league (despite our very decent start).
Taking off the yellow and green specs even if we were offering same wages wouldnt you choose Leicester over us given the more likely prospect of premier league football next season

I wont say a CDM but still feel we need a more gritty/hard midfielder to step in for Kenny or Sara when the opposition/way the game is going dictates it. When we are playing well then the midfield is capable but there will be some games we just need someone to get stuck in.
I'd also like to see a 'proper striker' in case of injury to Sargent as I dont think Idah will ever be good enough. I dont expect we have enough money to buy the quality we need (especially as likely to start on bench) so I think we'd have to settle for a loan.

Not sure what private education you received but by my comp school maths you named 8 out of 13 so still 38% against average of under 7%...... and you're also ignoring the fact of who runs the entire sport and the sexism and racism that has been highlighted recently (but that's probably a whole other thread!)
Sara and Rowe; Both sold in January?

Let’s be honest, if you were either of those players you’d be telling your agent to find you another club asap so that you at least have some team mates as the same standard as you. I’d also say find a club with a manager who knows how to play me in the right position and doesn’t sub me when I’m the only player actually playing well.
and that’s even before youd start thinking about the money!
