  1. Over the majority of the season (even last week after the Tuesday game!) the talk has been about should we get rid of Wagner.

Interesting thing now is that given how successful the performance has been since January there might now be a question mark over can we keep Wagner (regardless of division).

His 'stock' will probably be at its highest at the end of the season so he may be receiving offers from other teams. Given that he has been derided by large parts of the fan base, the poor atmosphere at Carrow Road and booing whilst we weren't doing well, lack of backing in January and a potential conflict of approach with Knapper... I can easily see him wanting to move on regardless of what the club wants.

In all seriousness, he is a miss. Someone who can just chase things down constantly, I think that's what we missed against Wednesday, if Liam hadn't have gone off injured we would have a willing runner to press from the front very much like Sarge.

I am a fan of Gibbs but dont think he works as a forward player. Looking at your description there we might as well just bring a jack russell on... they love chasing balls! (Mind you I would rather play a jack russell than Idah!)

  3. I was firmly in the Wagner out camp a few months ago but even if we do narrowly miss out on play offs it would be a really high risk strategy to sack him at the end of this season.

As already mentioned he is clearly a nice guy. That alone isnt a reason to keep him but the fact that all the players seem to like/respect him and are clearly working hard for him means it could have a really detrimental impact sacking him. If you watch the city view video there is a level of togetherness in this squad now that we havent had for ages. Wagner must have been a big part in creating that.

Would be a huge risk by Knapper to replace him.

  4. It's great to see the spirit and togetherness back in the team, something that seemed to be missing for so long.

The old pros like Barnes, Duffy and Stacey showing the same spirt and joy as the newer lads like Sainz, Nunez and Rowe.

If we can keep this going over next few weeks then could be a special end to the season.

  5. People have been very quick on here to complain about all our defenders but they were excellent today.

Stacey deservedly man of the match with an exceptional performance. He’s been quality most the season.

McCallum was probably most consistent all game that he has ever been.

Both Duffy and Gibson were strong and dominant. Particularly pleased for Gibson who has been subject to a ridiculous amount of ott abuse.

Great performance lads and a deserved clean sheet

It would be a tad unfair to drop Sorenson as he hasnt actually been too bad.Duffy may be fit but possibly not up to keeping up with someone like Vardy but probably ok as a late sub on a day like today.

Whilst it may be unfair….the best managers make harsh decisions in favour of the team over any individuals.

Id have gone for Duffy today but hoping nice guy Wagner”s faith in Sorensen pays off!

  7. I think our season depends on the scum and Leicester fixtures. Win at least one of those (obviously v scum!) then i reckon we’ll make play offs

lose both and I think the mental impact will be too much for this group of players.

That's going to need some extensive and tangible justification, please.

Obviously we wont know what happens behind the scenes but I must admit I've remarked previously that on a number of the videos the club produces when a new player arrives Hanley does seem quite dismissive when introduced. Always seems to be in the canteen and he just looks up, grunts hello and gets on with eating. Maybe that's because he doesn't appreciate the set up introductions on videos but he certainly doesn't come across as friendly or welcoming.

I cant be bothered to go back and find the videos as evidence but have commented on here before about it.

That's why I said on paper,

But that’s the point, football isn’t played on paper!

Confidence and momentum is far more important than how your team looks ‘on paper’. It’s why the  scum are doing so well now and we have in recent history

  10. Christ we’ve been playing really well recently and have drawn a game we should’ve won.

Can we not just give Wagner a break and fully get behind him and the team for the rest of the season?

Is that really asking too much for supposed fans of the club?
