Whilst I'd normally agree, Robins threw his toys out of the pram when they lost to us this season. He showed a lack of class and accused us of deliberately targeting one of their players (we didnt...Sainz was just being Sainz!). I guess it was after the fuss over Wagner's Coventry not sexy comments but thought Robins could have shown some humility and recognised we were the better team and deserved to win.

I know we are quick to knock officails but you have to say the lineman is perfectly placed here. Can see why he didnt give offside and I presume the point about VAR being for obvious errors doesnt apply to offside. This clearly is not an obvious and clear error.

Forest have had enough
rock bus replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Whatever you think of Forest. It seems ridiculous that having received a complaint hat one of the VAR officials is a Luton fan before the game that no action was taken. If it is true that he was a Luton fan then that is absolutely disgraceful. Even, if he isn't, the sensible thing to do would have been to make the change anyhow to avoid any risk of a conflict of interest. Bizarre decisions made before the game and during the game! -
Anyone know Liam Manning?
rock bus replied to A Load of Squit's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Their style of play was similar to ours and I was impressed with them yesterday. Not sure of his managerial background but after watching Bristol yesterday (and before I knew of the Norwich link) I did wonder of he was a potential candidate if Wagner was to leave. -
Over the majority of the season (even last week after the Tuesday game!) the talk has been about should we get rid of Wagner. Interesting thing now is that given how successful the performance has been since January there might now be a question mark over can we keep Wagner (regardless of division). His 'stock' will probably be at its highest at the end of the season so he may be receiving offers from other teams. Given that he has been derided by large parts of the fan base, the poor atmosphere at Carrow Road and booing whilst we weren't doing well, lack of backing in January and a potential conflict of approach with Knapper... I can easily see him wanting to move on regardless of what the club wants.

Doomsday May Just Have Arrived...............
rock bus replied to Thirsty Lizard's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I am a fan of Gibbs but dont think he works as a forward player. Looking at your description there we might as well just bring a jack russell on... they love chasing balls! (Mind you I would rather play a jack russell than Idah!) -
Time to accept that Wagner is doing a good job
rock bus replied to JonnyJonnyRowe's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I was firmly in the Wagner out camp a few months ago but even if we do narrowly miss out on play offs it would be a really high risk strategy to sack him at the end of this season. As already mentioned he is clearly a nice guy. That alone isnt a reason to keep him but the fact that all the players seem to like/respect him and are clearly working hard for him means it could have a really detrimental impact sacking him. If you watch the city view video there is a level of togetherness in this squad now that we havent had for ages. Wagner must have been a big part in creating that. Would be a huge risk by Knapper to replace him. -
City View against the binners
rock bus replied to Satriales's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It's great to see the spirit and togetherness back in the team, something that seemed to be missing for so long. The old pros like Barnes, Duffy and Stacey showing the same spirt and joy as the newer lads like Sainz, Nunez and Rowe. If we can keep this going over next few weeks then could be a special end to the season. -
People have been very quick on here to complain about all our defenders but they were excellent today. Stacey deservedly man of the match with an exceptional performance. He’s been quality most the season. McCallum was probably most consistent all game that he has ever been. Both Duffy and Gibson were strong and dominant. Particularly pleased for Gibson who has been subject to a ridiculous amount of ott abuse. Great performance lads and a deserved clean sheet OTBC

I "heard" this at Stoke and couldn't work out what on earth was being sung? Just sounded like an almost inaudible whisper?!?

Giannoulis out for "a few weeks"
rock bus replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
To be honest I'm glad this means we will have to give McCallum a decent spell in the team. I think he has more potential than DImi and of the two he's the one I'd be offering a new contract to (that is unless he is rubbish in the next few games!!) -
I think our season depends on the scum and Leicester fixtures. Win at least one of those (obviously v scum!) then i reckon we’ll make play offs lose both and I think the mental impact will be too much for this group of players.

Rotherham predictons
rock bus replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I certainly reckon Sainz will score. im going 3-0 but first goal not until late into first half by which time the crowd will have started booing because every pass isn’t forward and we haven’t gone 2 up in first half hour -
Who should be our captain?
rock bus replied to JonnyJonnyRowe's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Kenny or Duffy for me. Hanley as club captain and put Hernandez in the captain canary suit……sadly that’s the only roles either of those two should have next year and I’d hope we will have brought replacements for both on the pitch. -
Borjas red card overturned!
rock bus replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Great news....pity we cant get back the 3 points we'd inevitably have got with him still on the pitch! Could cost us promotion -
Obviously we wont know what happens behind the scenes but I must admit I've remarked previously that on a number of the videos the club produces when a new player arrives Hanley does seem quite dismissive when introduced. Always seems to be in the canteen and he just looks up, grunts hello and gets on with eating. Maybe that's because he doesn't appreciate the set up introductions on videos but he certainly doesn't come across as friendly or welcoming. I cant be bothered to go back and find the videos as evidence but have commented on here before about it.

Can I just remind you all that most people thought Sargent was absolute garbage!! for Christ sake give the guy a chance!
-
What?? It’s been a brilliant game

But that’s the point, football isn’t played on paper! Confidence and momentum is far more important than how your team looks ‘on paper’. It’s why the scum are doing so well now and we have in recent history
