1. Very poor from us! I can only hope the plan is to hold on for 70 minutes to wear them out and demoralise them then bring on some pace and kill them off towards the end otherwise this has been a shocking performance! ...Also Reading, what a bunch of cheating bast*rds!
2. I''ve been really looking forward to this, such an important game and there aren''t any fu*king links...
3. We thought our defense was bad last year! :P Southampton are doomed, 4 points after over a quarter of the season is shocking! I don''t mind them as a club but that''s one relegation place taken and our record as the only club to achieve back to back promotions to the prem and stay there remains :) They''ve spent a lot of money as well which really puts into perspective what an amazing achievement the last 3 years was for us. I know it sounds like I''m jumping the gun but I can''t see any way they''re getting out of this.
4. Butterfield looked good when he got on the ball but he struggled to get into the game at times and looked exhausted towards the end, I''m sure when he gets a few games under his belt he will be quality! Whittaker and Bunn who were arguably the most boring, uninspiring signings of the summer both look excellent. It wasn''t the best performance but I am very pleased at the moment!
5. We''ll probably get something boring like Middlesbrough away. I hope for Leeds or Villa at home though!
6. Yep Whittaker looking very good, Bunn looks solid and assured, Snodgrass huffing and puffing but not really doing much. Morison has been poor and Tierny is being torn to pieces by Bale, nobody else is really standing out, pretty poor game so far imo.
7. He''s got everything you''d want from a CAM except a quality final ball at this level, and his decision making isn''t the best as others have said. He doesn''t possess anything like for example, Lansburys ball to Holt for his second against Ipswich at home. He just can''t play balls like that so often resorts to trying one two''s on the edge of the box to get himself in which most defenders are too clever to allow at this level or plays it wide. He''s a quality player and he makes us tick but all of his work very rarely ends up creating goals.
8. He''s just a poor mans Tetty anyway, we dodged a bullet there!
9. We''re going to slaughterer them next week, I can''t wait to see Lambert''s miserable fucking face when Holt knocks the 5th past his ''team'' xD
10. We''re far too good to go down. We have been great every game except Fulham and Liverpool! We''ve just not had any luck so far, hopefully that changes from here on in!
11. Results went our way today assuming Swans and West Ham won''t be down there. I''m going for a 3-2 loss today with a good performance to set us up for the more winnable Villa game. Also I''d be very worried if I was a Saints fan, looks like our record of being the only team to achieve back to back promotions to the PL and survive isn''t under and threat xD
12. Same thing happened every time he got on the ball at Drurys testimonial. He was a special player and getting to see him do it one more time last July was amazing. Huckerby was the better and more exciting player, but Holt has been far more influential in his time here, has been a massive part of us getting from League 1 to where we are now. I''d have to side with Holt in this debate but just imagine our side now with Holt scoring goals, playing well and a 27 year old Huckerby on the left wing...We certainly wouldn''t be worrying about relegation that''s for sure!
13.
user="BW''s Cat"]"Ibrahomovic" Who?
Lol new keyboard xD I can''t type for shi* anyway :P
14. AT LEAST next year we can rely on Holt to get us 20+ goals in the championship next year which will give us a great chance of bouncing back. I think Hughton is a good manager and the squad is good enough to survive but it''s just not happening for us this year. I don''t think today was Hughtons fault, one hazard costs the same as our entire squad. I blame cun*s like Ibramovich/Fernandez and SKY for ruining football in this country and making it impossible for clubs like us to compete.
15. Surman is a top player technically, but he''s poor anywhere other than on the left side of the diamond. Hoolahan would be much more effective on the left of a 442 than Surman even if that''s not his best position. I also think he''s better defensively as well so I honestly don''t see why Surman gets picked ahead of him.
16. If anyone thinks Hughton plays negative football that doesn''t suit us you''d be in for a real shock if we appointed Mackay or McCarthy. Both of those are really not the answer!
17. Anyone suggesting Redknapp is an idiot! 1.He would never come here 2.He''s sh!t without money and would relegate us. Remember his time at Southampton?
18. I''d love Poyet, I wanted him last summer instead of Hughton but he''d have to be mad to leave Brighton for us at the moment.
19. I''d love Gus Poyet but I honestly can''t see him leaving Brighton for the mess we''re in at the moment which is so depressing !
20. I always try to stay optimistic but it''s becoming very clear that Hughton isn''t up to the job. Sacking a manager after 6 games sounds stupid but we HAVE to stay up this year with the extra tv money coming in and how strong a lot of championship teams are now, we could very easily in 2 seasons time find ourselves in another championship relegation battle if we''re not careful. The obvious problem though is that there''s nobody else out there I can think of suitable to replace Hughton :/
21. 3-3 Morison, Snodgrass and Surman with 3 Liverpool penalties sounds about right to me.
22. I actually think he''s a half decent manager despite being a bit of a kn*b. They were an utter shambles last year and were doomed to failure regardless of who their manager was. The Venkeys will destroy that club, they haven''t got a clue how to run a football club.
23. We''ve been battering teams recently but poor finishing, excellent goal keeping and plain bad luck have really let us down. I expect us to really give someone a hiding soon, you should be nervous! :P
24. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has spoken to referees'' chief Mike Riley about the way officials have treated his team this season. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/brendan-rodgers-speaks-to-referees-chief-over-treatment-of-liverpool-8182177.html Basically means they are going to get EVERY single decision on Saturday now. Sticking a £10 on them getting a penalty on Saturday will be like buying money!
25. This season it feels like we could play out of our skins and create 100 chances a game but it just won''t happen for us. We''ve been stupidly unlucky, been conned by ref''s a few times and now it looks like we''re completely devoid of confidence and I hate to say it but I can only see relegation coming :/
