Agreed. I have been looking around the Gills forums and they dont seem to think he is anywhere near worth the ££ being mentioned.

I personally feel a little sorry for Cody. It''s unfair to say ''If he could not break into the team in League 1''. Truth is we had an unbelieveable season last year where Holt and Chrissy Martin scored a stupid amount of goals and they were fit all season. Breaking into the team with strikers in that form is impossible. I believe Cody has all the assets to be a good player for us but he needs regular games to develop. It is the same with Oli. We should not be too quick to discard Cody and a loan would suit. Although he isn''t Lamberts player, PL clearly knows he brings something to the squad as he was always in the squad until injuries affected his season since the Millwall away game. Many people on here used to write the same about getting rid of Martin when he was loaned to Luton and look what happened there.

All I have said is that I dont think Lappin is as good as some people think. But as you say he is part of a winning side and thats all I am bothered about in the long run and he still got my support on Saturday regardless.

I read a few posts after getting back from the game on Saturday about how Lappin was a MOTM contender. I must have been watching a different game. Firstly you can''t knock the guys passion because you can tell he loves playing for us. But for me I just think he is very average. He somehow has a reputation for being a good dead ball specialist yet his delivery into the box is close to poor. He gives the ball away a fair amount and the only thing he seems to have perfected is to shout and point at people. You cant argue that he puts a shift in but I really do think he is the weakest part of the side
